We were given a very sweet note from the worker on our Uber order while we were craving a late night poutine at 12 in the morning.!

First time I've ever tried poutine, and it's not what I expected. I would rate this a little above 2, however. I feel like it was overly salty, but very flavorful. I would have enjoyed it much more if there was actually.. .meat.. in it. But overall, it actually tastes really good! 5/5 if you don't mind having 9/10 of the box filled with fries. The stuff on top (cheese, cheese curds, gravy, mushrooms, etc.) is extremely delicious. The wait time is extremely fast, about 5-10 minutes or so. Music is a bit loud, but very stylish. You should give it a go, because some people really like it, others don't. It is, however, a bit overpriced. I don't think fries usually cost that much? If you want fries, go to McDonalds or something. If you want the delicious toppings, make it yourself. If you love fries AND the toppings, this is definitely your place! But if you want to eat less fries and more of the toppings.. Find another poutine place. I feel like this is more of a fries-shop? There are many flavors though, all very unique. A chain I believe but it was my first time and it was pretty good. Poutine is usually hard to find in the States, so when I travel North of the border , I do like to try and get poutine somewhere. I wasn't aware it was a chain until a friend mentioned it but for a chain it was pretty good. The store itself isn't too big. There are some tables there but I took my order to go so I didn't pay too much attention. Nothing but Poutine but they menu had a lot of options are far as different styles to pick from. I went with the Korean style one. Huge portions and it was served in a nice box container that was pretty convenient to carry out and eat later. I will definitely try this place again if I run into another one. read more

Stopped in here while wondering around downtown looking for a place to grab dinner. I've only had poutine once before (in Montreal), but just based on the amazing flavors I feel pretty certain that Smoke's is legit. The staff is SO friendly. There were a ton of options, so I asked the girl at the counter what she recommended, and she gave me a thoughtful treatise and would've kept going had she not sold me on the vegetable poutine. Apparently their veggie gravy is way better than their traditional, and indeed, it was full of flavor (maybe a tad too salty for prolonged eating, but I guess that's Poutine). The cheese curds were awesome: Every bite with a curd was my favorite. This variation also has little bits of mushroom, in case you'd like to add some health to your dinner. read more

I haven't had such respect for Thanksgiving! This was my first Canadian style, but a turkey with all the trimmings and gravy atop cheese curses and French fries was pretty bomb. Just saying! God bless Canada !! So glad Smoke's is also in Berkeley CA USA! read more

It's poutine. Putting fries, cheese curds, and gravy, or au jus (for the snobs out there), together is not rocket science, nor should it be as outrageously expensive as these jokers charge. They can call themselves a "poutinerie" but making up words doesn't justify over charging for primarily potatoes; it's just as ridiculous as paying over $2 for a cupcake when I can make 24 for $5, or less if cake mix is on sale. If you think paying too much for food is a good idea, or makes you cool, great, throw your money away however you like, just ignore that you're being taken for a fool and you're over paying for a dish made of one of the cheapest food sources. read more

Maybe this is the unpopular opinion but I really think their food is just ok. I felt like it was kinda over priced and kinda soggy and the flavour was just ok. Would I go back? My husband and I like trying food indigenous to an area. We liked all of the different ingredients that go into Poutine, but this just doesn't work. The fries are not cooked enough and become mush underneath the gravy and curds. They have many choices available, but it must be a local thing or there may be a place that can do it better. read more

Wow! First time in Canada and first time having poutine but believe me I'm glad I came here for it. It was absolutely sublime. The place was absolutely packed as it was the end of the night but once I got to the counter the service was ace and I got my food in no time. If you've spent the night in Saskatoon and are looking for a bite to eat afterwards I would definitely say this is the place to go. Absolutely amazing. read more

Nice little poutine place found in downtown. Menu is nice and has lots of topping options. Prices are a bit on the pricy side given that its just poutine but the portions and quality makes up for it. The fact that its downtown makes it difficult to eat their consistently. Staff is friendly and are happy to give recommendations. Atmosphere is also nice and comfy. read more

The food is really good,, only 3 stars because the big shordude with tattoos was really rude,, from the time we asked what would he recommend or their best seller, to getting our orders,, the last part was when I asked about our 4th bottled water because we got only 3,, I asked politely "excuse me man, we ordered four" he responded in a rude way "I know!" We didnt know that he was getting he 4th bottle from the other crew coming from a case of bottled water. Definetly was not, was cold. was hair in all 3 of our poutines, and now 2 of us are sick . Will Never ever eat here again. Always try places once. Glad we did cause I'll never recommend this place.
