Ordered two dishes to share, the Lamb Madras and two Chicken Seekh Kabobs with Birani Rice and Mint Sauce on the side. A Garlic Naan to share was plenty. The food was all wonderful and full of flavor but the Chicken Seekh Kabobs were simply amazing. So moist and spiced to perfection. We ordered them on a recommendation and were certainly not disappointed. It is tough times for restaurants during these times and this one is a wonderful find. Not the best location but worth it

I was pleasantly surprised to see Nihari and Haleem on the menu, both beef dishes that have origins in Northern India but now also part of Pakistani cuisine... It ordered Nihari and it was was really good.. I live in Portland, Oregon, which is lot bigger than Saskatoon, but we don't have a single restaurant that serves Nihari or Haleem.. I usually go to Seattle to get Pakistani food but the Nihari I had at Swadesh was way better... And of all places in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.. The chef is from Pakistan so it makes sense... If you are in Saskatoon, and can handle spicy food you should definitely try this place..

We are so happy we discovered it and so we want to share with you that we think it's one of the best restaurants in town! We started off with tandoori chicken and lamb kebabs and the presentation was really appetizing and super tasty and it's been a long time since we went out for Indian food because we have a six year old and he's actually a picky eater but he surprised us and loved the lamb kebabs Chicken biryani is a rice dish in a pot with kind of a soufflé looking naan bread poofed up on top. Awesome dish of rice that makes a great base. Tasty daal lentil dish. Another one was with eggplant. Spoon that next to the rice. Oh pilaf rice was really tasty too. I really wanted beef vindaloo because I always love getting the super heat that makes me cry and it was really awesome and I'm glad I saved it for around the middle to end of the meal because it's really hot and I did ask for it to be spicy hot. I saw some other review where some guy was complaining it wasn't hot enough for him, and I can't imagine that, and I'm like a big Bhut jalokia ghost pepper fan. I think that other guy should try it again and tell the waiter he can take it and I think they'll give it to him :). Naan bread and reita is so freshly made and awesome Korma scallops really stand out in this meal as a surprise for us. I want to go back and get some more of that. It was really scallopy goodness in there! I've had lots of korma lamb and beef - i'm really happy we tried it with scallops today. It had a nice sweetness to it! The chef knows what he is doing - big time! Honestly we couldn't be happier to find this in Saskatoon. And we've traveled the world quite a bit - we had one of the best Indian meals of our lives today! We ordered a ton of food and kept it pretty straight up Indian food but they also have a extremely interesting menu with like something like Manchurian Chinese dishes and some really imaginative takes on foods like French onion soup I think I saw on the menu and even like kashmere poutine! We are definitely going back and will be dabbling into these interesting this is on the menu as well - the chef is really good.

It is unique, flavourful and worth coming back for (we went twice in the three days we were in the city!) The service was amazing! They are hopping busy but so friendly and willing to explain the menu item. The owners are all about locally sourcing the food so the perogies and sausages are handmade in the province! And they are passionate about making good food - there is nothing bad on the menu. The vibe is an upscale diner. Easy going and somewhere you will want to come back to. Perhaps in the afternoon to have a coffee and a homemade daily special donut??? Didn't get one of those this time.... Guess I know where I'll be stopping on my next trip to the city!

There was only one server and by the time there was 3 tables she got quickly overwhelmed and service was pretty slow. We started with the Kashk Bademjan, its incredibly good and I highly recommend ordering this. The server almost accidentally give our mains to another table but she caught it in time. I got the Khoresh Gheymeh (lamb stew I believe), it seems like they no longer offer it as I don't see it on their online menu. It was pretty good and I liked the strong lime flavours. By this point in our meal the server couldn't keep up with all the tables and we ended up having to pile of our dishes off to the side of our table. The dessert was the highlight of the evening, the cheesecake was average but the saffron cake was delicious! One of the best cakes I've ever had! By the end of our meal the owner came to help the server and it was great to see him helping on the floor! He was very kind and explained that one of there servers called in sick and they couldn't get another worker in on time. Overall I enjoyed the evening and it was great to experience a different kind of cuisine then I am used to. The only reason this review is a 4/5 is because of the service, while the sole server was good she was very slow and made a few mistakes.
