A 50's era style cafe which for a Thursday morning was very busy. The corned beef hash w eggs that I had was served with REAL corned beef!! The food was out fast & good but the hash could have been hotter. It was a little bland too. I would have liked my eggs on top but I didn't ask for that. We were served by an absolutely delightful older lady named Sherry that was all smiles & sunshine! She was a great server & made us feel welcome. I'd go back to this place again. This place was decent as far as diners go. I've hardly ever gotten a chance to try the food in Saskatoon because I hardly ever come here. However life seems to be sending me here now! This is a cute looking old school cafe, complete with a breakfast bar/stools, Marilyn pictures everywhere, and Grease-style red tables. We came in and were seated right away. They served us coffee and were ready to take our order literally before we even looked at the menu. Our server came back twice and asked all in the span of like 4 minutes. Just give me a moment to look at the menu! I got the eggs benny because I had too. My boyfriend got some sort of meal with eggs and toast and hashbrowns. Everything was decent. Not mindblowing but decent. Toast was good. They get your food out FAST. I think that that is kind of the point maybe? I think we were in and out in about half an hour! A bit rushed for me but it was fine. I liked our server she seemed nice. We chatted a bit with the ladies at the front counter and they were really sweet. I was there for the first time today. I had a western omelette with hashbrowns. Everything was tough. I've never had a tough omelette before. The vegetables in the omelette were tough. The eggs were overcooked. The hash browns were overcooked. I didn't say anything because i was with relatives, but I'm telling you now. Funky diner in Saskatoon that's perfect for a morning after the gig before breakfast (or brunch). You want omelettes? They got omelettes. You want bacon and eggs etc? They got that too. Broadway specialises in all things deliciously morningish. Service was fantastic when we visited, server was very attentive and put up with our humming and hawing before ordering food. All of which went down a treat! Coffee is bottomless which is nice if you're going to be hitting the road after eating as we were. Next time I'm in Saskatoon I will pay another visit for sure! Broadway Cafe is a classic joint in the Nutana neighbourhood. They have standard fare - burgers, milkshakes, and fries - and they do it well. Prices are reasonable and serving sizes are entirely satisfactory. The service is always pleasant and the atmosphere is worth a lunch here in itself. Styled as a 60s diner the Cafe takes you back in time as best a restaurant could. The root beer milkshakes are my favourite - unbelievably thick and tasty. Be prepared to wait if you're going here for a weekend breakfast! But trust me, the wait is well worth it. This adorable diner is a fixture on Broadway, and the staff are some of the sweetest, most efficient I've seen in this city. Breakfasts are perfect, eggs are always cooked just right, and their sandwiches are delicious, too! Always two choices of tasty home-made soup to choose from, too! As if anyone needs to gush about The Broadway Cafe! It's a classic, end of story. A restaurant doesn't last as long as it has without being fabulous. In addition to all these positives, our food exceeded our expectations. When it arrived we literally gasped in excitement. Cheesy...yes, but true. I'm a mushroom burger fan and this one was the best I've ever had. Fresh mushrooms, swiss cheese, soft bun and well seasoned burger. In addition, our server Coralie was delightful. She was knowledgeable, prompt and sweet. The only thing that would've made the star rating lower was that the music wasn't 50's Themed. That would've added to the experience. Its's always an added bonus to be on a vibrant street like Broadway. People walking places out the window is like watching a real life performance. Feels way more interesting than eating at a place on 8th street or strip mall in the suburbs. Great night! read more

I liked the idea of the old fashion diner style (Marilyn Monroe theme). My boyfriend and I went there for breakfast and I must say it took me some time to decide on what I want since they have a variety of breakfast options. I didn't notice any uniqueness in food. My omelette was pretty good, unsalted so I could put as much salt as I wanted. The price is really good for the amount of food you get (and that includes free coffee refills). It's a good place for families and/or for anybody who likes places in 60's style. read more

This place has a lot of character...the 50s diner-style space itself...the staff kept on their toes but not too rushed to be helpful...the customers. It struck me that this would be the perfect restaurant to take my parents. They would have found familiar comfort in the bright yellow scrambled eggs, the little plastic packages of jams I grew up on, the bottomless coffee, and the sourdough-bordering-on-white toast. In fact, the majority of patrons were 60plus, and young families with children, either demographic no doubt enjoying the cute decor and value-priced generous portions of easy-to-navigate standbys. Your food will appear amazingly quickly. Breakfast served until 2pm. After removing your plate and immediately placing the bill on the table in one practiced move, your waitress will disappear equally quickly, along with any further opportunity for coffee. read more

Best burger in town, definitely. I don't mind waiting for a table here (and the wait's never that long - there's quite a lot of space in there). The floor-to-ceiling Marilyn Monroe and Elvis decor can be a bit much, but the service is quick and polite and the food is exactly what you want from a diner experience. Diner style food. Burgers, fries, salads... I ordered a blt with fries, my husband ordered barley soup and turkey sandwich. My blt was good, but the bacon was so fatty and my fries looked old. Fresh fries have a nice golden colour and mine were brown and shrivelled. My husbands barley soup tasted like gravy, and super salty. I probably won't go here again... read more
