Peach Margarita
Gerald R.

AFTER-PARTY DANCE SHOWCASE The first time I came to Las Margaritas was on a Sunday night in March after performing in a dance showcase at Dance Mission. I believe when a name of a restaurant or pub is on the menu that item is a specialty. With a name as Las Margaritas the specialty is margarita. When I came in March I ordered a mango margarita. The margarita wasn't acidic yet soothing. I enjoyed my mango margarita, but I wasn't sure when I would come back to Las Margaritas. I came back again in the second Saturday night in October after performing in a dance showcase at Dance Mission. Like March there were other dancers in my group here. Las Margaritas is becoming the after-party for showcases at Dance Mission - well at least in my group. I ordered two margaritas - peach and mango. Out of the two I enjoyed the peach margarita as it not as sweet. Overall margaritas I've drank from Las Margaritas are strong enough yet not watered-down. Being at Las Margaritas twice what I love about this place is the divey decor. Inside is dark and small reminiscent of dive bars of the past. There are few tables to sit. As Las Margaritas is small the bar is packed yet not a lot of people. I feel Las Margaritas is a very intimate, but not a romantic bar. It's place where you can relax and drink without the raucous of a large crowd. I'll come back to Las Margaritas again not only to order different drinks, but also to try different margaritas.

What a lovely little bar! I wanted to eat and/or drink after getting my brows done in the Mission and Las Margaritas caught my eye, given the name and high ratings. I arrived around 1pm and was the only patron for a bit. The bartender/owner couldn't have been nicer and got me started with a mango margarita and a basket of pretzels. As others have mentioned, there are a few big tvs and the music, at least this afternoon, is a nice mix of Latin and jazz, which is my jam. My two drinks (mango and classic margarita) were both delicious. I would kill for some street tacos but it looks like you can bring in outside food. Next time Will definitely return!

We were exploring the Valencia Live street festival and our first stop was here, Las Margaritas. The bar was quiet, and we found Francisco inside, behind the bar. He made us 4 different margaritas and wished our friend a happy birthday!! Excellent service, margs and a nice stop to hangout in the Mission.

I'm sure it's been here for months, but I only recently noticed the sign as I was strolling 24th Street. A guy walked out of the bar, and I was guessing it was the bartender getting some air. He looked at me looking at the bar, but I wasn't ready to commit. After collecting more of my daily steps, I came back an hour later, entered the bar, and lo and behold, it was that guy. His name is Francisco, and he's the owner. He immediately charmed me by saying he was glad I came back. Of course I was also the only customer at 3:30PM, though it started to populate soon after my arrival. I thought for my inaugural drink I should go with the namesake. I ordered the $11 Peach Margarita, and it was quite a delight (photo: https://yelp.to/Et6xePppkQ). No more so than the conversation. It turned out he was involved with the running of Regalito Rosticeria, one of my favorite Mission eateries (review: https://yelp.to/rLGmHqZfeA). He also ran the Spitfire Rose bar in the Outer Mission over a decade ago, so he knows a lot about the greater neighborhood. Certainly enough for another round, this time the even fruitier $11 Mango Margarita (photo: https://yelp.to/pVKyuv3_JD). I think Francisco has me hooked on his libations and good company. DRINKS - 5 stars...margaritas for days in all flavors possible AMBIANCE - 4 stars...nice space, fairly compact but convivial SERVICE - 5 stars...Francisco is a font of local knowledge and good vibes TOTAL - 5 stars...it's more than margaritas but start with them RELATED - Exploring the Mission? Where can I start! The bartender was really sweet and shared us some recommendations for the next sweet treat place around the block, or the next brand to purchase for whiskey or tequila! Ambiance was really nice, as there were TV's playing various sports on the walls. There were two clean bathrooms. Ooh, and there were great veggie chips to share!

I don't give out a lot of 5-stars. So I want to emphasize how knowledge the bartender was to me and my s/o. Not only that, he provided great service by answering our every question in regards to the drinks', chips, as well as recommendations as me and my partner don't drink a lot! 5-stars also because the ambiance was welcoming and just warmly-lit inside enough to keep you feeling cozy.

Always fun at Las Margaritas.

Love this place... kind of a hidden gem! Came here after Portola (near the shuttle stop) and it was the highlight of the weekend! Ended up coming back the next day before the fest. The bartender, Francisco was so friendly and he made the best margaritas I've had in this town. The vibe is divey ... but not dirty/ sticky floor/ plastic cup kind of vibes. It also has TVs so great spot to catch a game too. They don't have food I think, which is fine... because I wasn't trying to eat, but my friend asked for chips and we got Ruffles (which is my fav chip)..lol. I also liked that the margaritas came in a glass cactus glass. It was very cute and I appreciate things like that! Thank you Fransisco for the good vibes and good drinks. I appreciate him even taking the time to also share some travel tips. Really made me wish it was my local bar, but unfortunately I live in trash LA :( .... Till next time!

Where Love (and cocktails) Found Me…read more Natamo Cabana will always hold a special place in my heart not just for the incredible cocktails and dreamy ambiance, but because it's where I met my fiancé. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the warm, coastal charm of the space. The soft lighting, breezy decor, and gentle music created the perfect backdrop for what would become one of the most unforgettable nights of my life. I came in for cocktails with a friend, not knowing that fate had other plans. One cocktail, a few laughs, and a perfectly timed Old Fashioned later, I found myself deep in conversation with someone who would change my life. Beyond the magic of that night, Natamo Cabana truly delivers. The staff is attentive and kind, always making you feel like you're part of something special. Every time we return, it feels like coming home. We even celebrated our anniversary there, and the team went above and beyond to make it memorable. The space has a fun indoor-outdoor party vibe with string lights, a big bar area, and a lot of people moving through throughout the night. Because it gets very crowded during First Thursdays, the energy feels more like a social event than a typical bar night. It's a good place to stop by if you're already out in the area and want somewhere with music and a busy atmosphere. The photo here was taken from their little loft area, which is actually really cute and a great spot for people watching since you can see the whole bar and crowd from above. One thing I wasn't sure about was the plastic cups. Every time I've gone they've served drinks in plastic cups, but since it's so busy during First Thursdays, I'm not sure if that's their normal setup or just something they do to keep things moving during the event. I ordered a rosé, which was perfectly fine and easy to drink while walking around.

The service from the bartenders was just okay. This is definitely the kind of place where you should know exactly what you want to order and stick to classic cocktails. Don't expect anything particularly creative or over-the-top--it's a straightforward, classic bar experience. That said, if you're looking for a true speakeasy vibe, I would recommend this spot. The espresso martini was delicious, and I would come back for the drinks alone. Just don't come in expecting exceptional service.

Luckily, my friend had already been to Iron Horse Cocktails, and suggested we go there instead. Walking down the alleyway it is located in was a nice getaway from the otherwise hectic union square atmosphere. Walking in was also a neat experience that felt like we were stepping out of the city into a tiny pub. We also really liked the atmosphere inside and the cozy upper floor that had an interesting mix of old paintings and woodwork, creating an eclectic feel. I got the We've Got the Beet cocktail with mezcal, beet reduction, ginger, fresh citrus, thyme and firewater bitters. I love mezcal's smoky flavors and was drawn to the combination of ginger, citrus and mezcal flavors in the drink. The cocktail was very good and had a nice smokiness from the mezcal, along with the kick from the ginger and zest from the citrus, creating a refreshing and tasty drink. My friend got the About Thyme, with gin, blackberry liquor, black pepper thyme syrup and fresh citrus. We both really liked his drink as well, which had an interesting kick from the black pepper thyme syrup that offset the gin and blackberry liquor nicely. While we only had time to grab a drink each, we were both very happy with the drinks and would definitely come back the next time we're in the area.

Arrived on a whim at around 6pm on a weekday and found a nice seat at the bar top. They have these little orb lights that can't be moved. He also told me I was right on time for the saber champagne presentation -more on that in a sec. For drinks, I ordered the Hibiscus Spice and the Paradise cocktail. Both were super fruity and delicious! I had a great time sipping on this while chatting it up with a few folks at the bar. To nibble, I can never say no to ahi tuna tartare and this one was great! The most interesting little wafers, ahi tuna with some avocado cream and a little spicy sauce. I absolutely devoured these! So good! Now for the best part, the champagne presentation! A gentleman gave a little info session on on how this process is done and at the end he took a giant to a bottle of champagne to open it. Really Cool! What made this even better was that everyone at the bar got to snag a complimentary glass. What a treat! Super cute little hour of so sitting at the bar at the St. Regis.
