Excellent service with huge portions. My girlfriend and I could have easily shared one entree and still had leftovers. We didn't know the sizes so we ordered two entrees and they were no way finished. We felt like so much food was wasted. With the above said, the food was delicious and we'd both definitely come back if we lived in the area - with the exception that we'd order more conservatively next time. I am giving this local-to-me restaurant a 3 star review because, while the food is good, it seems to be risky to pay with a credit card. We had a meal on 2/15/23 that cost $28.32.I added a $5.00 tip (just a little over 18%) for a total of $33.32. But when they submitted the charge to the credit card company, they added another $3.00 and charged $36.32. I have notified my CC company of the fraud. When I noted this in a local Facebook group, we discovered several folks reported having similar experiences. So if you eat here, my advice is to only use cash. read more

My family, friends and I have been here a few times and they never disappoint. We always try to have something different each time. Their margaritas are WONDERFUL. I especially like the original and the strawberry. We always get sat right away no matter how small or big our group is and that's not because they're slow, it's a large building! En route to Deadwood, South Dakota. Hungry and ready for a leg stretch, we power up the Yelp app to find something tasty in the Gillette area. Las Margaritas comes recommended and neither of us have had Mexican food lately that isn't smothered in green chiles. Let's do this! The lunch shift had just begun and though it was empty when we sat down, by the time we had ordered, there were several tables worth of customers inside. A very good sign at 11:30 on a Saturday. Definitely order a house margarita and after that, you cannot go wrong. Seriously, the portions are HUGE and contain what I would consider to be the best refried beans ever. Normally I don't go ga ga for beans, but these were the perfect consistency and flavor. I had shrimp tacos and my +1 ate chicken mole. Plates were the sizes of our heads and we did the best to finish the meal, falling a tad short. But I'd give us an "A" for effort at the very least. I like to rate my restaurants by the size of the plate. Considering that my $12 fajita was twice the size of my head, this restaurant deserves ten stars. Let's start with the basics: chips. If your chips and assorted dips aren't good, then your food won't be either. Let me just say that the guac was so fresh that I wouldn't be surprised if they have a tree in the kitchen they pluck avocados from. The salsa was also great, although it wasn't that spicy stuff that most places try to pass off as flavor. It takes talent to pull of a full bodied and flavorful mild salsa, and wow, this place could win AGT with their salsa and guac alone. The food.... was amazing. Heavenly. The secret to world peace. I had the chicken fajita and was able to stuff three tortillas with chicken alone. The rice was fluffy and it felt like a thousand little pillows for you to rest your tongue on for a moment. And now, yeah, they have margaritas there. According to the rest of my party (curse you, age restriction laws), it was good and strong. None of that weak stuff here. Make sure to have a DD with you.
