Such an underrated hidden gem off Airport blvd. East Austin is very lucky to have such an amazing la michoacana in the neighborhood. My go-to order is a 16 oz mangonada and a cubano torta. Their mangonada is as classic as it can get and it's so good. The chamoy and tajin all come together beautifully to cut through the sweet and light mango for a very refreshing treat. The mangos sprinkled on top were also so fresh. The cubano torta is life-changing. For such a reasonable price, you get an enormous sandwich packed to the brim with different meats and veggies. Taking on this beast is a challenge that's worth it. Their house salsa also complements the sandwich so well. Onto the establishment itself, the inside is very cutely decorated and has a very mom and pop feel. The service is also very quick and efficient. Cannot recommend this place enough. read more

I happened to order a 3 tier cake since the previous year I ordered one from there and it was a big hit. Well not this year. The cake was way over moist that the support stand started to slant during the transport. The bottom tier broke causing the top 2 tiers to slide out and begin to crack. Luckily we were able to salvage the top 2 tiers. $220 dollars for a broken cake. My daughters bday was near ruined. I called them to explain the situation and they tried to blame it on me. Don't get the mangonadas..they aren't shaved ice so they really aren't mangonadas. They put way too much of the red stuff in the bottom of the drink, so your first sip is full of that. It's not shaved ice so you can't really suck it through the spoon. I give it 2 starts because I also got a corn and it was alright. read more
