The sandwich on the other hand could see better days, the bread was kinda dry and cold..maybe some butter and toasting it could've taken it up a notch & the goat cheese left the chat, lowkey looked more like philadelphia cream cheese and the jam was overly sweet, felt like a overpriced jelly sandwich. My wife and I split a medium and a salad and took some home. We like that the menu is interesting but isn't overwhelming nor fussy. The place feels like it is run by good people who care about your experience. I wouldn't recommend for large groups (more than 10) unless you sit outside, but for a double date or family gathering it is perfect!

The donuts were good. I'll have to taste their maple bar to determine whether they surpass Cal's, which is my favorite donut place. However, Master Donuts does take credit cards, which gives them a huge leg up on Cal's! They also sell Thai food, not a combo I was expecting but I'd be interested in checking out some of their Thai entrees.

The menu items here are basic for a local plate lunch which works really well, less confusing. Musubi was good, glad they added furikake on the rice. The garlic chicken and shrimp was good too. Their style was not exactly how we do it back home, but they got it...just missing one weee ingredient. But maybe that's lani moku's style. Kalua pig kinda salty. It had the flavor but I need the fat with it. Maybe next time I'll ask for the fatty pieces. Overall, I enjoyed this place and ate up my lunch. The food is as good as ever, the redhaired girl at the counter was super nice and helpful, AND she made a killer drink at the little tiki bar (big fan of the tiki bar). The restaurant looked clean, aesthetic, and hawaiian lol. Will definetly come here more often since its closer to home.
