The Cubans were supposed to come with potato sticks, which weren't on the plate instead a small tiny packet of potato chips. When ask what happened to the potatoes they said oh we don't have a lot and need to save them for other orders. I wish they had said something from the get-go. And it's odd because we got in there for lunch. nobody around so why there were no menu potatoes I don't. Poor planning again very disappointing Presentation kind of sucked. The pork was dry. The rice bowl was a complete disaster, poorly constructed, boring presentation and really not worth the money. Overall experience was bland. would not go back

This place is amazing! I've been wanting to try it for a while, and finally got a chance today…read more Seriously so good! I ordered a Brianna style arepa and plantains, both were perfection. The plantains were hot, barely sweet, and had great texture. The arepa has black beans, big pieces of avocado, and perfectly seasoned beef. Was each thing big enough to share? Yes! Should I have shared? Also yes! Did I share? NOPE. I ate so many plaintains I couldn't really eat much of the arepa, but I tried. I have leftovers for later, and I'm not mad about it. It may not reheat perfectly, but it will still taste great. I also tried a bite of empanada- they aren't really my thing. It tasted good though, and had a crispy shell. The filling was tasty. If you're an empanada fan, I'd recommend them for sure! They have a soup that needs a couple days notice, and I will for sure be ordering that. If it's half as good as the arepa, it will be worth the order time! Definitely check this little truck out, it's a great addition to the food options in Eugene!

We were able to chat with the owner who was friendly and patient with our questions. Often times we prefer to get a few sides of meat instead of a burrito or something with extra toppings. It's always a litmus of how flexible and accommodating a food truck is, and fortunately the owner was able to do that and for a reasonable price. I also got a couple of tacos that were also reasonably priced and very tasty and filling. There was plenty of sitting outside by the food truck including a good bit of covered seating with back support. So no worries there. It may be a bit less accommodating if it was cold or hot out. Would definitely recommend grabbing a bite from this place the next time you're at Ninkasi.

I got some sides of meat since I try to keep things low-carb, and I was excited to see the sides already priced on the menu, which I don't see too often with other food trucks. On top of that, the owner Doreen was incredibly nice and friendly. We had a good time at chatting with her. The food was really good quality and not too salty, which is something that tends to happen with Mexican food. We also tried their homemade cheese sauce, which was also delicious. Side of meat and two tacos were relatively inexpensive for food truck food. I would easily come here again, and I know my husband would too because it's an excuse to go to Ninkasi again.
