    2 asada tacos

Who knew Wednesdays were busy days. We stopped in just around 1230 after some appointments to grab a bite to eat. There were a few other people waiting in vehicles and outside the cart for their food. We ordered and got a buzzer to wait as well. I had wished they told us one group ordered nearly 60+ tacos. We waited over 35 mins for 2 tacos & a couple quesadillas! Holy smokes. That was a long time to stand there. We also got a horchata to sip with our food, but was nearly gone before our food came out. For about $36. This place is a little pricey, but definitely homemade and good. My first bite after all the wait was a chunk of fatty gristle in the meat. Not appetizing. Once I got past that it was good. I know a lot of little taco shops with street tacos offer their tacos double layered with 2 tortillas, they don't do that here and although they're homemade fresh tortillas- mine was falling apart after the first bite so it was a big challenging to eat. Flavors are good. The quesadillas were served differently this time, which is fine they're still good, but we ordered 3 cause last time they were small little almost quartered folded style and this time they were folded in half and seemed bigger! Definitely a little inconsistency there. Overall we like this little truck and it's appetizing, but a few things to note and think about for our next visit!

I am not exaggerating when I say that I had the best tacos of my life from this food truck. After noticing that most of the meals shown on their menu included meat, I asked the kind gentleman taking orders that I am a vegetarian, is there anything for me to order from them? He responded with "no problem" and then worked with me to customize the perfect vegetarian taco. Rice, beans, cheese, and lettuce. That's all I ever want in a simple vegetarian taco, and they delivered. It sounds simple, but every individual ingredient was each wonderfully seasoned and flavorful. My favorite part was the homemade tortilla. A delightful texture that reminded me of the tacos I enjoyed in Puerto Vallarta. The best thing about this entire experience is that they are within walking distance of my home. Which means on any warm gorgeous day when they are opened, I can throw on my burks, a leash on my dog, and take a lovely stroll that will ultimately end in a delicious meal.

Today was my first time stopping & ordering from Eva's food truck. It won't be my last. I ordered a Super Burrito & my daughter ordered the tacos. The Super Burrito was HUGE! It was also filled with super yummy ingredients. My daughter enjoyed her tacos as well. The staff were friendly & our order was prepared quickly. I definitely recommend stopping in or ordering ahead.

Today was my first visit to Eva's, but it definitely won't be my last. The tacos were DELICIOUS and the service was just as impressive.

Upon entering, we only were able to find high table seating on metal, backless stools and one low seater booth. I am physically unable to sit on those high stools due too balance issues because I have had Multiple Sclerosis for 16 years now. I may look " normal" while sitting still but my mobility and balance are an ongoing struggle in my life and has robbed me of so much. My husband got us waters then got in line when i noticed a sign on the table saying to please order before getting a table. My husband was already in line and ready to order and pay for our food. Less than a couple of minutes of me sitting there I was approached by a blonde staff member and she touched the table and asked me if I had someone in line to order. I replied that I did. She then told me that there's a long line building up and that I would need to leave the table because we hadn't yet placed an order. I explained to her that I am disabled ( even though I should not have to even do that ) and that I'm physically unable to sit at the high tables. That the only available low seats, inside and outside, were all taken other than this one booth. She then repeated what I had just told her and then asked again if I could only sit at the low tables, to which I replied yes. I was then told that I needed to leave the table and could go sit on a bench by the door and wait there and that the rules are for everyone regardless of the situation. I was so embarrassed and shocked that I started to tear up and told her that we would leave and went to motion to my husband that we had to go. As soon as we got to the car I started to cry and he was asking what was going on. He was so upset that he went inside to talk to the manager. He explained everything that happened and that I'm disabled and there was nowhere else for me to sit and eat. She apologized and said I could make a reservation to come back later for a low table. He told them no and that I was already embarrassed and crying. I'm trying to figure out how, since there was an open table that accommodated my needs and I was there, why this was such an issue. There was plenty of seating open but the tables were tall. What if there's another person unable to order for themselves because of a disability or they're elderly etc. ? Maybe make all tables low tables if a rule like that is being implemented? The business was happy to take our money but wouldn't give ea place to sit and eat. On a good note, we wound up going to Laughing Planet and had not only excellent service but really good food. I got the Korean BBQ Bowl with chicken, which they happily subbed for me, and it was so fresh and good. I really loved the quick pickles that came on it and would recommend it to anyone to try.

The restaurant was really clean, and there were plenty of booths and tables. There's a register at which you place your order. The prices seem a bit high. The food was good; I'm not sure what my sister thought of her pork belly taco, but the guacamole and tao salad I got were excellent if a bit disappointing. I know that sounds confusing! The guacamole was like $7 for a small container, maybe like a two ounce portion cup? It was good and there was a lot of lime, but that's truly wild for such a small amount. They gave us about three times as many chips as would be necessary for that amount. As for the taco salad, again it was good (and the Korean-Mexican fusion comes in here in that the chicken had some kind of sauce on it, akin to teriyaki sauce), but they gave NO hint that because our order was to go, it wouldn't be in a taco bowl. What???! I don't know about anyone else, but one of the things I love about a taco salad is that crunch along with the salad fillings. If she'd told me that by ordering to go it wouldn't have come with the bowl, I wouldn't have ordered it. It also feels like a real scam to charge folks the same for a major part of the item that they're not getting. They should be charging less for a to-go salad if they're going to pull that kind of nonsense. Hence the three star rating. Good food, but questionable practice. No dedicated parking, but there's street parking around or a paid lot across the street on the southwest corner of Broadway & Pearl.
