Calamari and ceviche
Andrew G.

I like the 5-star quality of the food and preparation by a well-trained chef. The sauces are not mediocre at all. You either love it or hate it (the level of hotness I mean).

This an aerial shot of Las Brisas taken from my room!

Ordered shrimp fried rice, was bad and it made me sick from the excessive amount of oil on my plate. I wish I didn't eat it :(

We love love love the arrecherra entree with a few salads to start. They always bring a complimentary dessert and often a little tequila shot as a parting gift- added value and great hospitality! A must try especially if you are walking from the Medano Beach resorts.

They have a well diverse menu - seafood, steak, pastas, & more and everything we tried was well executed. The surf and turf platter was the hit of the night. Waiter told us it was good for 4 and it was definitely that, with leftovers. We also tried a pasta pomodero and it was yummy with a little kick. The imperial shrimp are a must get if you like shrimp. These are bacon wrapped, jalapeno stuffed. Yum! I would also highly recommend the tampiquena steak - Mexican style steak with a chile relleno. Best starters were queso fundido (MUST GET!) and the caprese was also very fresh! My one draw back was the temperature, but I know that's hard to fix. We came in August and it was very very hot and muggy. But didn't change our thoughts on the restaurant overall. Just something to note.

Two nights ago we brought them quite a bit of freshly caught wahoo and tuna, and asked them to cook it up, for seven people including the two mates with whom we spent three days fishing with. What we got was AMAZING!! Tuna & wahoo sashimi, followed by wahoo cooked BBQ style, garlic & butter, bacon & cheese wrapped, spicy parmigiana, breaded & fried, and the absolute best, coconut encrusted with mango sauce. We had so much food that we shared with other customers and sent our two mates home with four or five takeaway boxes. The service was attentive and engaging. If you have freshly caught fish, this is the place. Even if you don't, they go there anyway, they will have fresh fish.

The seafood combo was awesome as well, you get a big ship (attention to detail the container is heated) that has two big lobster tails, one crab, a red snapper, some shrimp and some octopus. Oh the octopus was fantastic, smoky and soft. Shrimp and lobster were also very good. Crab was meh, not very fresh. Service was great. Not sure if we came on a slow Wed, theres only us and another table in the entire place. For the food I'd expect more visitors.

The setting is gorgeous: lush, open-air, right on Medano Beach. There was a live musician performing on stage for most of the night, and during her breaks, a small band walked table to table taking requests -- such a nice touch that kept the energy going the whole meal. We started with the carpaccio, which was excellent, then moved to a combination plate with rib eye, lobster, and butterflied shrimp -- every component cooked perfectly. On the drink side, I'd hoped to try Fortaleza Reposado (I'd spotted it going to another table earlier), but they'd run out, so I ended up with G4 instead -- no complaints at all, since it turned out to be the only chance I got to try it the entire trip. This is the kind of dinner that makes a trip memorable. Highly recommend booking ahead -- it's popular for good reason.

Highlights for me.. carpaccio, watermelon mezcalita (fresh watermelon juice), Caesar salad (made table side) ribeye, veggies, and potato, and fajitas with fresh made tortilla. My friend took me here. He's become a regular and I see why. Thank you Jorge and Luis for a fun evening. Ps. They even have ponchos here if you get cold.

They offer daily specials at very reasonable prices. I ordered the octopus, and it was to die for perfectly cooked and incredibly tender. It was served over roasted vegetables with a side of rice. Sometimes, simple food prepared the right way can be just as satisfying as anything you'd find at a gourmet restaurant. The restaurant has an Argentine flair, with several tempting meat dishes on the menu. The daily special that day was a 12-hour roasted pork shank that looked absolutely mouthwatering, but I opted for the octopus instead and I'm glad I did. Everything was delicious, and I'll definitely be coming back to try some of their other dishes

The cariñoso and attentive Alejandro, Miguel, and Juanio treated me like a queen from the moment I set foot, but over the course of several days, they were able to provide even more recommendations for a good time in and around Cabo. Maracyúya margarita is a must-have. Aguachile negro was fantastic. I also tried a bunch of their other food offerings once I established bar Sur as my home away from home. The No-Cesar salad was crispy, flavorful, unique, and fresh. The Sushi was mostly freshly caught local offerings (minus the salmon, which was still good quality) with a bright sunny presentation and freshly made to perfection.
