She truly cares for her patients. She is not afraid to send you to see other doctors that might have more experience in a specific field... she is the best! I find my most recent appointments have been very uncomfortable. Rather than getting to the bottom of my skin issues he chose to label me based on a medication I take. Naturally one might get a second opinion from another doctor right? Thanks to Kooistra's labeling and Palomar's healthcare sharing I am unable to see an unbiased doctor. I have had a 2nd, 3rd, & even 4th dermatologist appointment. I continue to suffer with my skin issues causing pain, scarring, anxiety, loss of sleep and quality of life.

Dr Ostrow performed a melanoma excision on my lower leg in January, 2025. Her nurse, Maryam…read moreMajdi-Yazdi, ignored signs of infection (seroma, swelling, etc) while removing my sutures two weeks later; she did not document those symptoms in the clinical support notes or have a doctor look at the excision. When I sought medical treatment because the excision site had split open and the infection worsened, Maryam told me that the excision site had been fine when she removed the sutures (I have pictures from that show signs of infection the day sutures were removed) and told me that the excision had split open because I had worn sneakers. While taking antibiotics, I developed sweating/clammy skin, chills, extreme fatigue (i.e. sleeping 10-12 hours a day; I typically sleep 5-6 hours a day), appetite loss (i.e eating nothing for more than a week), etc. I contacted Dr. Ostrow as I was concerned that I may have developed a blood infection as I had had symptoms of a surgical site infection for almost 4 weeks prior to beginning antibiotics. Dr. Ostrow did NOT examine me; instead, she had one of her nurses tell me over the telephone that I had an upper respiratory infection completely unrelated to the surgical site staph infection. Keep in mind that I had avoided germ exposure, crowds, stores, etc for 2-3 weeks before and after the excision. My excision site remained an open wound with brown drainage for 2-3 months AFTER completing the single round of antibiotics prescribed. Dr, Ostrow told me that "these things just take a while to heal." She did NOT do any additional tests, prescribe an additional course of antibiotics or consider/recommend additional treatment. I would discourage patients from using Dr. Ostrow and/or her nurses for procedures. Or at the very least have an advocate/witness present.

Because I love my fellow Yelpers, I feel moved to break this golden rule and share this gem of a business---I'm THAT impressed! Doctor Dobry is gentle, kind, patient and caring. Her Physician's assistant, Darcy Duffin is just as pleasant, helpful and accommodating. The office is clean and organized and is located in a really good location that's easy to find. BONUS: They have a parking garage if you don't find any spots in the lot. I really appreciate that both the doctor and her assistant are generous with samples. (Yay!) Neither of them try to sell you products or procedures you don't need. The office staff is also very friendly, knowledgeable and wiling to help in any way they can. I'm so happy I found this place and that I live close by!

Complete indifference to being timely. They are simply overbooked. Having said that, I do want to reiterate that Dr. Dobry does have a genuinely caring attitude, and will make you feel cared for when she is in the treatment room with you.
