I have been wanting to go hear since I have been seeing coupons in our coupon magazine mailers. So glad that we finally tried this restaurant last night. They offered a variety of appetizers and dishes from vegetarian to different meats as well as shrimp on the menu. The prices of the meals were very reasonable. We have never had pork chops in a Mediterranean restaurant and their pork chops were delicious. We also had gyros, chicken in skewers, dolmades, spanikopita, salad, pitas with humus, and baklavas. Customer beware this place is no where close to the typical good to decent Greek restaurants in central San Diego nor no way close to the ones in Chicago . there is nothing worse than a owner especially a Greek owner that does not give a fair value to his patrons of his dining establishment ! Our Greek salads had only ONE OLD KALA MATA OLIVE ( i am not exaggerating in this ) on it and a small dusting of feta cheese and old tomato ends and no peperchini or cucumber , all the old lettuce was drenched in water not properly drained all this made the pita bread soggy on the plate The Tzatziki sauce was a joke no cucumber what so ever in the sauce .The chicken was decent but scarce not the portion shown on the menu . Look the owner was a friendly guy but absolutely clueless on operations of keeping customers, i was actually embarrassed for the guy eventually i went up and mentioned about the quality of our salads his response was next time iwill take care of you ! I was just blown away on his perception on value and sticking it to the customer ! WAKE UP Santorini islands Grill.... I've been here a few times and have never been disappointed! I love that it's on the way home so I call ahead and pick up to go. When you are tired of eating guilt ridden food and you just want a yummy salad with a lot of flavor, this is the place to go! I've had the Santorini Salad (mix of chicken and gyro meat) and I've bought the family meal. It is always more than enough for people to share, but I'm not going to lie, I've finished a salad by myself! Definitely worth a stop for a meal! read more

I don't know about the other menu items but I've been buying the Gyro Sandwiches here for years. And if you like Feta cheese then add that to your fries - yum! They also have a kids platter w/just the meat,pita bread, & rice (or fries). They all include a drink. Never had an issue with the service. Maybe I went in there on a bad day. I felt rushed in placing my order, and I didn't think they were friendly at all. The food as alright, but I thought a bit overpriced. 11.50 for lunch is not my idea of a good deal for this type of restaurant. Especially if you use your credit card you get charged an extra .50 cents. I didn't try the gyros, so maybe I will have to go back and try that, but I wasn't impressed. read more

My husband and I had lunch here after hiking Mt Woodson yesterday and it was AMAZING!! It's a very small restaurant with only a few tables. When you walk in you order from the picture menu at the counter. I ordered the gyro and shrimp plate while my husband ordered the gyro and chicken plate. Everything was perfectly seasoned and cooked. our order came out quickly and we enjoyed every last bite of it. this was the perfect meal after our hike. We left feeling satisfied and not overly stuffed. when we hike Mt Woodson again we will definitely be back for more!! I highly recommend giving this place a try!! read more

New to the area and trying out all the local places. This spot is near Poway High so we stopped in after picking up our son. The food was excellent! We ordered a family meal (1 pound of Gyro + side) and it was beyond delicious. We also ordered a chicken kabob plate, and a side of hummus. Both were excellent. The outside isn't much to look at... but it's the food you are coming in to enjoy. The owner (I think it was the owner) also gave us a couple free sodas while we waited on our order to be ready. This place is gold. I grew up in Poway and came here frequently but now whenever I come to town to visit family it's on the top of my list as a must go to spot! The food is delicious. A small dine-in or take-out place in a shopping plaza that serves delicious Greek food. Since I love Greek food, I'm glad I don't live too far from here. The gyros are packed full and very tasty, and most everything else is very good. I've had better hummus in other places (it's just not as flavorful as other hummus I've had), so that is the one disappointment.
