Love this Greek takeout place in Poway! Great quality, healthy food for a great price!

We went to Larry's Santorini for an early dinner, and this little hole-in-the-wall spot truly impressed us with its amazing Greek food. I had the chicken salad, and my dining companion had the barbecued ribs--both dishes arrived promptly and were absolutely delicious. The owner and staff were incredibly welcoming, adding to the great experience. The quality of the food was outstanding, and the prices were very reasonable, especially compared to many restaurants today. We had a fantastic meal and will definitely be back!

Great food and even better service, will be coming back soon to try more of the menu!

Gyros burger special
Kim M.

Came here for lunch on a Saturday. Busy little strip mall on a popular corner, but parking was easy. We ordered gyros salad and gyros burger special. The gyros was good, but I prefer more seasoning. The tzatziki sauce was bland. The salad was fresh and there was plenty, along with the accompanying bread. It could have used another slice or two of gyros and maybe more than one olive. The burger was great. Loved the bun and seasoning on the fries. The service was very good. I love that there was a steady stream of customers, both eating in and picking up. It looked like a place that has been a part of the Poway community for many years and has a great number of regulars.

Best service and Greek food around. My personal favorite is the euro salad. I come here atleast once a week.

Great Greek gyro salad. Also had the Volcano Feta dip. It was a little bit spicy, but still yummy. I'll be back.

Great local Greek food. I have an appreciation for the few non "chain" restaurants left...

It's been a good while since I've been here and glad I came back. Service was friendly and warm,…read moreprices are pretty reasonable and the food was great. We got there around 11:15 and the lunch rush hadn't hit yet. Our order was taken promptly and the cashier (who also brought us our food later) couldn't have been friendlier. It only took about 10 minutes for our food and it was piping hot and fresh. Yours truly had the Pikilia, a sampler of chicken, gyro, rice, hummus, dolma, wings, salad, pita and spanakopita. It was a ton of food and I mowed that bad boy down. I'd go back.

I asked what time they open and she said in 10 minutes. I asked if I could look at the menu while I waited and she said yes. While I'm looking, another person walks in (seemed like a regular--he didn't order, she just told him his total and he paid). Since it was my first time, I tried to make conversation and asked what he usually gets. She redirected me with "what questions do you have on the menu?" I explained it was my first time and I was just curious since he's a regular--I figured his order might be a good place to start. She answered, I said thanks -- and I was gonna order what he ordered but because the interaction felt weird I wanted to further check if maybe I can turn it around .. so then asked what she personally likes. She said it "depends on what you want". Fair, but the tone felt off. I put the menu down, and she continued with "it depends on my mood, etc sometimes I want meat or only vegetables I work here 5 days a week." (also fair), but overall the interaction just wasn't pleasant or welcoming. I was excited to try somewhere new, but ended up saying thank you and walking out. Now I'm here writing this one-star review... and still hangry

The owners are genuinely friendly and the food has been consistently solid for years. A highlight for me is the rice -- fragrant basmati with saffron and a golden, crispy tahdig-style layer that adds a really satisfying texture alongside the fluffy rice underneath. I've only dined in a couple of times, but it's worth it if you can. The restaurant feels warm and inviting, with lots of table seating and a cozy, traditional feel, made even better by the welcoming service. We started with Zeyton Parvardeh and Mirza Ghasemi, and both were tangy and packed with flavor. My usual entree favorites are Ghormeh Sabzi and Fesenjoon, and both have that comforting, well-made "slow-cooked" feel. The kabob combo with chicken and koobideh is also a reliable order: flavorful, well-seasoned, and a great match with the rice. All presented as sharable. If you're looking for dependable Persian comfort food in the area, Shiraz is absolutely worth a visit (or a takeout run).

North Park Produce Grill gives the same for 7! And it's delicious! Overall this place is quite expensive. And it has always been. Maybe it might be worth it for a nice dine in dinner but it is cost prohibitive for take out or a casual dinner.
