Lasagna?, Mancotta? Lobster Ravioli?.... You Like???? Any pasta at all is 50% off every Sunday & Monday! Excellent staff and service, they all work in unison to bring you an enjoyable dining experience. As they have done for my wife and me over these past six years, give or take. Plenty of good, easy parking. The food here is very nice. Easy on the wallet, too.

Returned for lunch with a friend and our grandson. First customers of the day. I took advantage of the 1/2 bottle of wine ordering a Banfi Chianti. We started with 2 orders of calamari and a beef carpaccio. Delicious. My Grandson had the classic spaghetti while I had the Fra Diavolo withe shrimp. My wife and our friend split a Fra Diavolo and lobster ravioli with black mussels. For dessert I had 3 cannolis, our grandson had.cheese cake, our friend had the chocolate lava cake and my wife had chocolate mousse. All the food was fantastic. Service was top notch. The ambiance is relaxed and peaceful. Definitely one of the best Italian restaurants in San Diego.

Nice guys unite! Popped in for a lunch with a price fix menu, and food was very good! Perfectly tender salmon and flavorful potatoes and veg. Ambiance is stripmall chic, service was prompt and friendly, and prices were good!

Vittorio's is a hidden gem that has become one of our go-to Italian restaurants and for good reason. We've been coming here regularly for quite some time and every visit reminds us why we keep coming back. The food is consistently delicious, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the service always feels personal. Their Tuesday Date Night Special is an absolute steal. It's not just a bargain, it's a full-on culinary experience. From appetizers to dessert, everything is thoughtfully prepared and generously portioned. It's rare to find a place that feels like home while still making each visit feel special.

Salmon with tomato sauce and capers, Fettuccine on the side

This place has lasted a long time in this location but I think it's pretty mid at this point. For some reason, they got rid of the eggplant parm, which was their best vegetarian dish. One of the elders in my family still loves their tomato sauce so we get takeout from here every once in a while, but I don't get too excited about it! I got the salmon tonight with mashed potatoes, tomato sauce, vegetables, and capers. It was OK, but not anything I'd go out of my way to order. And I used to love this dish here!

Nice little place tucked away in a shopping center with plenty of parking and a handful of other little shops. My husband and I came on a Sunday night and it wasn't too crowded. There's a back room and a front part with plenty of seating. The service was great. We got complimentary bread and marinara before our meals and the waiters were prompt and polite. The bread was delicious. It came warm with a nice crunchy exterior but soft on the inside. The marinara was a touch spicy and very tomatoey. We also asked for some butter which came warm and easy to spread. For our meals we got a cream sauce pasta with mushrooms and sausage and a pizza with sausage, ham, peppers, and onions (the Vittorio's). The pasta was delicious. The sauce was creamy and earthy from the mushrooms and it came with a good amount of delicious Italian sausage. The pizza was smaller than I expected but had a lot of toppings. It tasted okay for me, but not my favorite pizza ever. We originally chose to come here to use some of our synergy gift cards, however when we got our check we found out it was half off pastas! We couldn't use the gift cards, which is fine because half off pasta was a great deal in itself. They told us they have half off pastas every Sunday and Monday night and a few other deals throughout the week. Wish we knew it was half off pasta so we could've gotten two instead of a pizza! Definitely will be back for more pastas!

Review for their Tuesday special! Friends and I came in for dinner and we picked this place because it was in between our houses. We discovered their Tuesday special and will be back. Two small plates of their Caeser salad, Choice of entree per person(meat lasagna, ravioli, chicken dish, or lemoni salmon), and a bottle of house wine to share. All for about $42! The food was pretty good too! They brought our complimentary bread with marinara as well. Another friend ordered spaghetti Bolognese and it was a huge portion for about $20. Our server Martin took great care of us too.

Pappardelle al Ragu di Costolette Corte is what I was told( but most likely it was actually pappardelle bolognese)
Janet L.

Plenty of parking in the plaza and we were promptly seated. There weren't too many people so the service was pretty efficient. The atmosphere was very nice with high ceilings. They provided complimentary bread. We got the artichokes as an appetizer. It was flavorful and tender without being too sour as it is sometimes. My husband's linguine was great and he loved the shrimp. My sister in law's mushroom ravioli was really good although the ravioli was a little too al dente. The 3 star is because of my own dish. I ordered the Pappardelle al Ragu di Costolette Corte. It called to me from the menu and I was so excited to try it because I love short rib. When my dish was set down, it wasn't pappardelle. And there was what looked like a meat sauce. And the waiter who placed it down said "the bolognese". So I said I ordered the pappardelle al ragu. He took it away. A few minutes later, some pappardelle was placed down in front of me with the same looking meat sauce. So I asked if this was the ragu, and he said yes. Now I didn't want to argue so I just accepted this pasta dish. The pappardelle was a little on the soft side, bolognese was fine, but I didn't appreciate being lied to about that pasta dish.

Spacious, charming, relaxing, hospitality Water is always filled. Attentive service Salmon and veal are perfectly cooked. Good portion. Mediterranean salad and Cesar salad are refreshing. Tiramisu dessert is cream of the crop. Remember to order coffee to go with it.

A good neighborhood place. I would stick to pizza and pastas. The fried calamari was not fresh. Do not order that. Cozy for a family dinner

Nathan, Sabrina and Johan were a primo team and outstanding on all counts. They made extra sure my guest was comfortable and most importantly, appreciated. The fried burrata was a star as was their caprese salad. Their spinach ravioli was delicious and despite how full we were, it was gobbled up. Their pizza was great as well as their arancini. The New Zealand Sauvignon blanc was delicious with a spicy finish. We ordered two bottles. The vibe is very communal and it got lively around 7pm on a Saturday. It was quiet and intimate when we arrived around 4:45pm so come a little earlier if you typically would like a quieter meal with fabulous food. Again, can't thank Nathan. Sabrina and Johan enough. The entire team was fabulous and humored us with our questions in regard to Sicily. I will be back and will bring others: thanks again!

The meat was fairly tender, but it lacked flavor almost entirely. The sauce didn't add much either, and the risotto underneath was just okay. Nothing was necessarily bad. it was just surprisingly bland. For a dish that's usually rich and comforting, this one felt forgettable. Pesto Pasta: 7/10 This was decent and definitely better than the ossobuco, but it wasn't anything I'd go out of my way to order again. The pesto was enjoyable, and I appreciated that it wasn't overly acidic. Beyond that, it didn't really stand out. The cocktails were good, the service was fantastic, and the complimentary limoncello cake was delicious. That said, when there are so many great Italian restaurants in the area, I don't see myself returning. I left feeling like the food was more hype than substance. Food: 5/10 Service: 10/10

It was lively without feeling overwhelming, and it was also very family-friendly. Every single dish we ordered was outstanding. The fresh pasta was the highlight of the meal. You could immediately tell it was homemade. The texture was perfect, and every sauce was packed with flavor. The pesto pasta with grilled chicken was fresh, vibrant, and incredibly well balanced. The creamy pasta was rich, velvety, and pure comfort food. We honestly couldn't stop talking about how good the pasta was. The pizza was just as impressive. The crust was light, airy, and perfectly charred from the wood-fired oven. The toppings tasted fresh, and even with all the meat and mushrooms, it never felt too heavy. It had that authentic Neapolitan-style texture that kept us reaching for another slice. The service was excellent from start to finish. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and our food came out surprisingly fast. Even though the restaurant was busy, we never felt forgotten, and everything arrived fresh and perfectly prepared. There honestly wasn't a single thing we didn't enjoy. Every dish exceeded our expectations, and we left already planning our next visit. If you're looking for authentic Italian food with amazing fresh pasta, delicious pizza, outstanding service, and a welcoming atmosphere, Buona Forchetta is absolutely worth the visit.

Fab time here - I don't know why I hadn't come in a while…read more Current version of the patio is not huge - but it was sweet & comfy and on Laurel toward the park (not on 5th or toward the corner). So nice views into the park too. Josh was our server and he was super nice! I started with the pope's delight cocktail. It's listed online as "aged rum + amaro romana + salted cantaloupe olio + lime, $17." But they had decided to add a proscuitto crisp and make it $21. I didn't want the proscuitto so that was a little annoying. But it was a tasty little cocktail. Bread: it's amazing here. They change exactly how they do it from time to time - this version was so yummy and with great butter. App: I got the burrata + pluot | cherry tomato + arugula + almond + coriander + mint + toast appetizer. Very yummy! Huge also. I took half of it home. Definitely recommend. Entree: I always like when the corn agnolotti comes on the menu, but it changes each year. This version was pretty good - I think my pasta was just a tad undercooked, not quite al dente on the parts of the agnolotti on the edges (not the pillows holding the filling). Still good though. Also, if you're going to the theater, do you know they have a FREE shuttle that takes you to the Old Globe and back? We decided to walk there after dinner (easy, pretty) but take the shuttle back after the show. So easy! And then I ordered takeout dessert from Josh. Overall, a super meal and great vibes. Looking forward to coming back soon!
