I called 2 hours later and was told they were just burning the car in and it would be ready in 45 minutes. We arrived 1 hour later to find the car was in the same place we parked it. When asked what happened, excuses like we gave the wrong number and ordered the wrong tires. Waste of time and in a terrible neighborhood.

These guys are fabulous! As a non-mechanic I'm pretty clueless, but I've also been ripped off enough to know to ask questions. Dan (my mechanic) was able to patiently answer all of them, and explained the repair without talking down to me or being patronizing. (If you're a woman, this is ESPECIALLY rare and very welcome!!) He genuinely wanted me to be comfortable with the service. I have since returned for an oil change, window issue and a replacement tire. Kevin and Mike were also wonderful; Kevin gave me a discount on my oil change using a mailer I hadn't received. If you don't have an auto place and/or you're a woman I HIGHLY recommend this Firestone Auto Care!! (FYI --I drive a Honda.)

Though it was a shortened holiday work week, they were able to squeeze me in at 4 pm Friday. I called during my drive up to let them know I would be late due to crash and construction delays. They close at 5 but said they'd do their best. When I arrived at 5:15, my service technician, service manager, his son, and the owner were there to greet me. They assured me it was fine and my car was whisked away for its inspection. I got a chance to speak with the owner who told me VanDervort has been around for over 100 years at the same location. We had a heartfelt conversation about my medical journey, medical miracles like hip replacements, cars, and more. Soon, my car had passed inspection and I was free after many months in which I was not able to drive, to go. At the end, there was a sweet surprise that, when I told my cousin about it during my trip back, she said, "I'm crying" (tears of joy). If you are anywhere in the area and need car care and repair, It would be hard to find a more professional, kinder group to work with. I can almost guarantee you will be very pleased!
