Shoot out to mavis for a new tires on my truck great work and so fast thank you agian

I made an appointment online to have my daughter's tires replaced while visiting her. We got there at appointment time but were told they were very busy. I called 2 hours later and was told they were just burning the car in and it would be ready in 45 minutes. We arrived 1 hour later to find the car was in the same place we parked it. When asked what happened, excuses like we gave the wrong number and ordered the wrong tires. Waste of time and in a terrible neighborhood. read more

I scheduled a appt for a wheel balance and inspection. They took my car in and I got a phone call 30 minutes later to come inside. The mechanic tried to tell me my brakes were too bad for the inspection as if I didn't put them in myself I said just do the wheel balance then and they said there's no wheel balance on the work order. I told them to just drop my car and I'd take it somewhere else. The manager came out after that and admitted that my brakes were good but now I needed a gasket for my muffler. Just lying out their ass, what a complete waste of my time. I wouldn't take my car there if it was the last place open in town. You'd have better luck with a YouTube video and RockAuto.com read more

I sent my daughter there with our minivan to get free air in the tires and they repeatedly ignored her, filled others tires ahead of her then left her standing in the parking lot for 30 minutes all the while my granddaughter was in the vehicle next to her waiting to go home from school. Rude disrespectful people I will take my business elsewhere next time we need something done like the snow tires I was going to get from them next week. read more

Always had great service in past years. arrived for a state inspection and was told it would be $280.00 to do the inspection as lug nuts were unable to be removed. News to me as the tires were only 3 months old. Took it to another place for an appointment for an inspection where they had no issue with lug nuts. Also, they did not impose services on me. Went in for a oil change, at 10am, No appointment, but needed to get done ASAP before Noon. We had a major conflict/misunderstanding with corporate in when a tire we needed would be at the store. When we showed up, we found out that the rep with dispatch told us wrong and that the tire wouldn't show up until the next day. This was awful news, but Todd and his team went WAY WAY WAY above and beyond, moving mountains and draining the seas, to help us try to find a way to get the tire we needed at a location along our route. I really can't express enough how amazing they ALL were. This was customer service completely unmatched with any other customer service I've EVER had (and I'm not a young pup by any means). The worst service ever ! Not a lie , they changed my brakes without the tires coming off ! They keep taking off my review, not nice! After these knuckleheads believe they were right! I was pleasantly surprised at how well my oil change went. I booked an appointment online but had to call the shop to change the time. No problem. Although the lot was full when we arrived they took my car in at the appointment time. A half hour later it was done. On top of that the cost was less than $30. The staff was polite and professional. I highly recommend this shop and will continue to use them when I am in he area. I walked to Burger King for a coffee while I waited. read more

I recently moved to NY from out of state and needed to get my inspection and emissions after having my car registered. The state of NY gives you 10 days to get your emissions and inspection done and I am leaving for vacation, so I needed it done ASAP so I'm not illegal. I was having trouble finding a place that was open on a Sunday to have this completed. After calling several places in town, I called this particular Mavis location who said to bring in my SUV whenever and they could help me. I dropped my SUV off and they finished in 2 hours. The price was about $21.00 for emissions, inspection, putting both tags on and drilling for the front plate. I'm not sure how that compares to other places in town, but I thought it was pretty good seeing as an inspection lasts two years. read more

Save yourself the time, trouble, and money. Do not go here, the associate Matt who works at the front desk was incredibly rude and unhelpful to me and claimed he had other people business who was more important than mine, another paying customer. I understand my business there wouldn't have brought them a huge source of money but to act like he didn't care for my business at all was incredibly rude and I will never be coming here again. I have used the location in the past many times. Never an issue, but some of the staff I have dealt with in the past have moved to another location.  One new staff member "Anthony" is a customer service nightmare....and this comes a former big box retail store manager and HR manager. Example one.  I had the tires changed on a vehicle on 10-19-19.  When I was dropping off the vehicle, Anthony never once said "good morning" or even "how can I help you?"  Looked at me and said "Yeah?" meaning...what do you want.  OK - so I let it slide, everyone has a bad day and I get that.  But when I came back to pick up the vehicle again I dealt with Anthony...there was no service follow up or even if I wanted tire warranties...just took my card and ran it.  Handed my card back to me and receipt...and not even a "Thank you".  I told him  "Thank you" but he just walked away.  So at this point I'm a little agitated...but again everyone has a bad day. So now we fast forward to 10-24-19.  I called to confirm my next tire order for the date of 10-26-19.  Anthony picks up the phone...asked me what I needed. I explained I wanted to confirm my tire appointment.  He took my name, and said "yep".  I asked ok, so you are saying "yep" that we are good for the appointment on 10-26-19 - and again the "yeah, that what I just said"  (rude) I said "ok, great!" and I said thank you...Anthony did not say "thank you" or even Goodbye...he hung up the damn phone on me! I filed a complaint with customer service explaining what happened and that I was officially canceling my order.  Explained I was going to another tire place...and yes they are more expensive...but they treated me with respect so they get my money. So 30 minutes later Matt the manager calls me...asking me to confirm my order - I explained to Matt I did that this morning with Anthony, but after he hung up with me, I am canceling my order and will not be back until that SOB is gone.  Explained to Matt I am paying a bit more for the same tires, but good customer service is worth it.  Clean up your location...get rid of the human trash and you will increase your sales. read more

!!! Went to this workshop to seal one hole in the wheel on the trailer cost $ 140. They are very expensive and have no measure!!! And so counting: 1 hour $87, parts $37.50, NYS sales tax $9.96, 4% NCD $5,37, Total $139.83 !!!! Repair one hole from a small screw!!!! read more

Went there at 515 asked the 4 guys standing outside smoking if i can get my inspection done. They told me "they couldn't do it there was less than an hour left so the machine don't work at that time. Mind you this is the 3rd time that day i went to try and get an inspection and I'm not stupid the machine works they just lazy it takes 10 min to do an inspection. Very Disappointed and won't go there again don't waste your time. read more

I recommend going to the Mavis store on Main st. Binghamton because Jim, the manager, is there. He will take good care of your vehicle. The Mavis store by the Mall may be bigger and in better condition, but you will wait much longer and they don't have Jim. read more

Took my vehicle into the Vestal, NY location, for the annual state inspection. Made an appointment online for 11 AM and when I dropped it off at 10:40 AM, I was told it was going to be two hours! Then, when it was done, I was told my taillights and third brake light were out! They worked when I left my home just five minutes before I dropped it off. I went out to look at it and my passenger side tail lights were non-functional! They said they were working when they pulled it out of their garage or it wouldn't have passed. At first they were going to go look, but then said there would be a charge to look at it! Basically, they broke my light and wouldn't own up to it. Accidents happen. As a college student, I was ripped off last year because they had told me there was something wrong with the car. I had went there for an oil change and left with a credit line billed with about $3,900. Secondly, with my second car, I tried to get my tires changed and had an agreed price for the full work and tire replacement. Once I got to the shop, they told me whoever I spoke to didn't know what he was talking about, and charged me almost twice as much. For future reference, buy your own equipment and find a different shop who will do better for less. read more

I called to get a quote for an oil change in the morning, They told me that it would be $70 to do an oil change. When I arrived, they tried to tell me that it would be $110 instead. It was an absolute waste of time and this is just terrible etiquette. Would not recommend anyone to go. This was tremendously disappointing. read more

Their customer service is excellent! Ben and his associates were really helpful. I walked in with a punctured tire, and they had the same tire in their inventory to replace mine with and changed it less than ten minutes. They also found one of my original lug nuts to be the incorrect size and changed it for free. read more

Furthermore I called the store I went to back about an hour after I got home because I spent that entire hour calling multiple tire stores to get prices. When I called back I spoke to Ben I believe it was he was in charge and I told him who I was and what car I had and what he said, then I started telling him that when I got home I had my cousin who although he's not a paid mechanic or tire salesman has been around all different types of cars and tires and knows enough that he could easily tell me wether or not the tires were actually as bad as I was told and that my cousin said they were fine and would last me a while longer. Well when I started challenging him on what he had told me and saying that I felt he was just attempting to rip me off he said I'd better take em to someone other than my cousin who knows more about tires because what he told me (he meaning ben) was absolutely true and he proceeded to hang up on me. I was also furious because the major reason I went was to get air put in my tires and they didn't do that.... I do not have an invoice number as I saw them pulling my car out and I was so upset that I walked out and got in it before Ben could bring the invoice over to me.... I was getting the air and rotation to the tires done because I had to dive to Tennessee from Binghamton NY and then to Wisconsin before finally returning to NY. I asked if they would be ok for that trip and he said as long as i didn't hit any bad weather... he was wrong, which confirms my belief that he was taking advantage.
