Though it was a shortened holiday work week, they were able to squeeze me in at 4 pm Friday. I called during my drive up to let them know I would be late due to crash and construction delays. They close at 5 but said they'd do their best. When I arrived at 5:15, my service technician, service manager, his son, and the owner were there to greet me. They assured me it was fine and my car was whisked away for its inspection. I got a chance to speak with the owner who told me VanDervort has been around for over 100 years at the same location. We had a heartfelt conversation about my medical journey, medical miracles like hip replacements, cars, and more. Soon, my car had passed inspection and I was free after many months in which I was not able to drive, to go. At the end, there was a sweet surprise that, when I told my cousin about it during my trip back, she said, "I'm crying" (tears of joy). I was offered a free shuttle ride to campus, which wasn't something I was expecting, and they had my truck ready to go the next morning at open. Do I think they're a little more expensive than other shops in the area? Well, if they are it's not by much...but I would also say I feel more comfortable with my vehicle at Precision than those other places, so I'll pay a little extra for the peace of mind knowing professionals who are knowledgeable and friendly are working on my Tacoma. For me, the only place in the area I'm bringing my vehicle to is Precision, without question. 11/10 would recommend!

They were the cheapest option we found at $850. While the vehicle was there, they told us a sway bar link was broken and charged an additional $250 to fix it. About a month later, the car started making a loud, obnoxious banging noise. It briefly went away, then came back again a couple of weeks later. We brought it back to Mavis because it seemed related to the repair they had done. They told us the part they installed had failed, but that it was covered under warranty. We picked the car up the following Friday, and the noise was still there. They then said their "mechanic" needed to look at it, but he wouldn't be in until Wednesday. After dropping it off again, they called and claimed the issue was a bad strut mount and quoted us another $1,250. Instead of moving forward with that, I took the vehicle to Weaver's in Owego for a second opinion. Within minutes, they found the real issue -- the sway bar was loose. The same part Mavis supposedly fixed. I brought the receipt from Weaver's back to Mavis and asked to be reimbursed for their improper repair. When I followed up days later, I was told they were "too busy" to look into it. After making it known in their waiting room what had happened, they suddenly refunded me $111 -- but then told me to "get the F out" and not come back. They failed to properly complete their own repair, misdiagnosed the issue, tried to upsell an unnecessary $1,250 fix, and handled the situation in an extremely unprofessional manner. I will never use Mavis again and strongly recommend others think twice before trusting them with their vehicle.

My current car is still kicking and screaming even at 220K miles/13 years and I credit part of that to their maintenance work. I'm deducting one star only because sometimes it can be hard to get a hold of the desk to schedule an appointment and they often forget to call back when the job is done ... you have to call to check up at the end of the day. But they always deliver the car when promised, so it's not too big of a deal. I do wish they had online booking for appointments and text notifications that the work is done like I've had at other garages.

They failed to diagnose a basic problem. Damaged the car and commit fraud when they did not tell me and tried to cover up their screw up. Now they will not refund my money and pay for new parts. So, what Goodyear committed fraud and now they want me to accept discount repair. Even after they acknowledge the fraud (failure to notify the damage they tried covering up).

And the damaged our transfer case and they refused to replace it with a new part after not telling us they damaged it (fraud). Corporate Goodyear offers 25 cents to the dollar refund after this local store committed fraud refused to have pay full price to fix it right they want us to use used parts to save them money after they admitted what they did was wrong. Not my problem.
