Got pulled over one mile from After Hours tires... Came in about an hour to get my truck back... And they wanted $400... One mile ... One hour....$400... Then... because I was obviously upset.... They called the NY State Troopers and they sent a guy out to the shop... To INTIMIDATE me... I'd committed no crime... So why was there state trooper there? Staring me down? Absolute worst place to buy tires. Bought 4 new Continental pure contact tires with 65000 mile warranty in October 2021 for a total of close to $800. On may 25, I noticed a bulge in front passenger tire.Could not find reciept, but thought they could look purchase up with credit card info as they carry the warranty. I was told they have no electronic records. All records are paper and sent to accountant. In addition, i was told replacement, even if reciept was found or presented, would be used as tread was worn too low. No more than 4000 miles were put on this tire. Would not honor warranty despite tire clearly being defective. Customer service was rude and accusative, as they insinuated i hit something, when its clearly a broken belt on the sidewall! Continued... this nice woman was told that he didn't even know if he would have time to fix it she said well this is the work needed to be done when I came I need it done today do I'm laughing that here this woman in front of me is also being scammed how do you take your car somewhere tell them what to fix they charge you fix something totally different then what you came in for then wants to charge you for that and the work that you request it's a scam their scammers. Just like my ins bill they held into for 10 days and refused to give my ins company because until I made stick and reported it as insurance fraud to my company that's exactly what they were gonna do the manager had told my sons dad who I had call cuz I was so upset that he didn't even know anything about the tow guy calling me and the price was still the sane yet when I picked up my car and complained all of a sudden he said I was there on the call that's not what happened lol well if I'm wrong then why didn't they bill my in company for the 10 days they had my car so they could get paid? That's cuz they were gonna rack up the charges that's why so here I had to pay a 405$ tow bill that I now have to be reimbursed for instead of them having it paid so I could pick up my car with just the cost of the repairs then! When she put the car keys on the counter I said those are not my keys!! they handed me someone else's car keys! Which considering how old my car is! i would have been better off taken theres!!! The jerks tried to used my scraper broke it! Then through it back in my car without even saying anything! I said am I gonna get a refund on my ice scraper! So I had to stand their for over 20 minutes using the teeny tiny rough piece left on my ice scraper to try and be able to make my car visible to drive if course when I paid 900$ for my car god forbid they provide me with that service or even walk over with a good ice scraper to help me scrape off my car so I can pull out of their parking lot and never look back!! I would like to give them 0 stars but this is not an option. This business is a scam and takes advantage of people. My son was involved in an accident and Endicott PD called without a choice or option After Hours Tires. Now keep in mind I work in the insurance field and am very familiar with the cost of towing claims. If a flat bed is needed with cleanup average cost can be between $275-$425. Well they charged me $901 yep $901 to tow from Endicott to Endicott. Not only did they charge the fee for this they included removing the battery when clearly I watched the Fire Department do this. They charged moving the truck 3 times when 5 family members were at the site and they only pulled in hooked and pulled out and took all of 15 minutes. I was charged 2 cleaning fees I again watched they cleaned NOTHING! They offered to take possession of the vehicle and still charge $540. NEVER have I EVER had a business take such clear advantage. They then proceeded to tell me if I didn't pay after 30 days they would report to the DMV and garnish my wages. I NEVER post on business however I felt this is something everyone should be aware of. I've taken my car there multiple times and each time they either don't fix the problem, fix the problem then break something else, or don't even bother trying. I've had a wheel bearing replaced and during the replacement they broke the ABS sensor and refused to cover the cost of repair after admitting to being at fault. I took my car there to diagnose a noise and they fixed an entirely other problem and then stopped trying to figure out where the noise was. Glad they fixed the other issue but they didn't even try to figure out the noise which is why I brought it in the first place. They also were supposed to do an alignment and didn't do one completely, car still sways right. When I brought it back for them to fix the noise again it was quieter this time so I told them to take it up to 55mph to hear it... they only drove it a bit because of the gas light being on (still quarter tank just a warning light) and refused to look at it or drive it more even after having my permission. I've also been quoted 2 very different prices for the same fix (wheel bearings). I was quoted $400 for the replacement and labor and a month later $200 for the same thing when another wheel bearing started going. Absolutely the worst service I've ever received for a car. They're lazy, they don't listen, and they don't care. They're a business not a garage and it shows. Do not take your car here unless you want to waste your time. read more

Definitely getting ahold of the Better Business Bureau I had my whole front end of my truck redone at after hours tires my caliper bolt fell out when I was out by my friends house in Maine which luckily he lived close because I made it to his house his 81 year old mother went and bought me brand new caliper bolts and he put them on for me because I was very sick with the flu which I had called After Hour Tires and told them that and they told me well if I could get it there they would take a look at it how can I get it there when my bolt fell off my front Brand New caliper After hours just put on with brand new inner and outer wheel bearings rotors brake pads everything is what they told me I needed and they put it on and then tells me when it falls off that sometimes they do come stripped how does that happen I mean if your a mechanic you wouldn't put it on if it came stripped from the store I don't understand very unprofessional definitely not mechanical I heard the owners are really great guys but I'm really surprised they haven't called me to straighten this out I mean that is so unprofessional they charged me $356 and change and my truck is worse than it was when I took it there way worse the left front is going to fall off now it Which is why I went there today and was told I should have been there the other day they ordered new parts for my truck how could they order new parts when they didn't even know what then you really needed besides it caliper Bowl they never looked at it again so then it gives me hell because he heard my friend the background say he is not a mechanic he's shouldn't be working on vehicles and the counter guy kid says he's going to beat the shit out of my friend throw him out the front window and then he's going to beat the F and shit out of me and get the F out of his store and don't come back and doesn't give a shit if my tires fall off whatever go somewhere else he said he don't give a fuck I thought it was 20 years ago and I was back in the bar or something I mean that's what it felt like going to that after hours tires counter very freaking unprofessional people that were there today should not be working with customers read more

Several weeks ago I had my vehicle in to After Hours due to suspension noises. I received a call and was given the prognosis and estimate for the work to be done. All new struts/coil over/ shocks for all four corners, tie rod ends. They noted that I also needed rotors/brakes and some bushings replaced. (They informed me that the bushings on the rear torsion bar happen to be unavailable/obsolete). I declined their offer to replace the brakes and rotors, since I had been the one that replaced the rotors and brakes last, and the brakes were still on warranty ... I wanted to inspect them personally. Overall I did think the repair was expensive, $2,000.00, but I went ahead and authorized the work to be done. It is important to note that I declined the brakes and rotors work, otherwise, I would have never pulled the front tires off. When I inspected the brakes and rotors, I saw that when the coil and shocks were replaced, the bottom of the shock tube was ground so that It would fit into the control arm ... also, it was clear by the marks on the tube, that a good size pair of channel locks were used to help seat the tube as the Tube had been deeply marred. I did go back to After Hours to ask about this, and Chuck, (who is one of the Managers), kindly explained that this was part of the standard process/practice to grind the shock tubes to fit. That it is consistently done upon installation of these shocks, that they even keep an inventory of Blue Paint, so that the bare metal left after grinding the tube can be repainted ... He apologized that they did not repaint the bare metal and that it had been an oversight on their part. (I treated the shock tubes with a rust inhibitor and repainted them myself). Also, the nuts in the control arm require cotter keys that were missing. Chuck did not address that ... I have to assume that they must be unimportant. I saw that there was no grease in the newly installed tie rod ends, after the work was done. Chuck explained that these tie rod ends do come with "some" grease already in them .... I pressed on the rubber boot and they were completely flat/empty ... I greased them as well, as I had the car up and they were accessible. Regarding the recommendation for the replacement of the rotors and brakes. I could not see any visible reason for the replacement. Rotors were not worn down, and plenty of brake pad left. When I showed Chuck pictures of the rotors and brakes, He explained that something must have been felt in the test ride by the mechanic. I cannot feel any pulsation or shudder when I drive the vehicle, however, the mechanic is a professional and I certainly do not claim to be. Also, to note, that I do have what sounds to be a clearance issue with the right tire area, that occurs as I am making a left turn into a parking space. In all fairness, Chuck said to bring it in and they would look at it ... I did and was told it was my right front brake and rotor ????? I did ended up taking my car to another shop. They diagnosed the issue as soon as it was on the lift ... it was the lower ball joint was bad and would rub on the inside of the tire when turning. Given that this job was incomplete, and, in my estimation, questionable installation, I requested some reimbursement. Chuck said that he would give me $20.00 for the price of paint used where they ground the shock tubes. Needless to say, I walked away with nothing, however, if another repair shop had to place the vehicle on a lift, grease the front end, replace the missing cotter keys and paint the shock tubes, they would have charged me more than $20.00. Again, another lesson learned and an expensive one at that. I saw and heard good/glowing reviews by others that have used After Hours .... I was hoping to find a Good and Convenient Repair Shop to take care of both my vehicles. The team there is always helpful and have never tried to up sell my wife or treated her like she was car ignorant (even though she is). They have always been straight up about tires, state inspections, and servicing. I will only take my vehicles to these guys. They do great work and don't cost a fortune. The staff are looking to get you for whatever money they can, women beware, they will just treat you like you have no clue. I couldn't afford to pay the $500.+ towing charge for a 2 mile tow and they wouldn't explain the origin of the exorbitant charges and fees. They wouldn't even let me have my baby's carseat out of my car, I even offered to give them the $220.00 I had on me just for the seat but was denied despite having the title and a valid ID and Christmas is in 2 days. The boss is not only unreasonable but intentionally unreachable, his own employees bad mouthed him, implying that he was a miser and would not budge. I will pay this bill when i can, but $90/day storage fees are racking up and my fiancee missed 2 days of work because of our transportation loss. I am going to file a complaint with the attorney general and BBB about the outrageous bill they claim I owe. Additionally I am seeking counsel to help me dispute the amount of the bill they are trying to charge me. If this has happened to you, contact me, I can help. Buyers beware. After Hours Tires is fantastic. They have helped me out numerous times. I had my tires rotated on my Chevy Dually as well as my brake lines repaired. They have always had fair pricing and the get the job done right. I also had them mount tires on my new chrome wheels for my corvette this past summer. Recently they swapped out my wheels for some Snow Tires for the Vette also. They calibrated the TPMS and everything works great.
