Lariat Bowl is our only bowling alley we have in Red Bluff. It's located right next to the big CVS Pharmacy on S. Main St. I was invited here to bowl, but I'll pass and just watch, I'm not much of a bowler at all. But I will take advantage of the snack bar offerings! I can eat while I watch the other people bowl. They have appetizers like chili cheese fries and the like or nachos and stuff like that. I went for a Cheeseburger and fries ($12.99) and a drink. It didn't take long to cook up and it was pretty decent. I had no idea what to think of bowling ally food before this. The fries were hot and crisp and the burger tasty as well, so all's good in my book. They also have pizza and salad here if you want that. Watching my friends bowl, I think knocking down all the pins on the first roll is harder than it looks! Even with a second roll! read more

I lived in Redding for 6 years before moving to the smaller town of Red Bluff. This place surpassed my expectations. Plenty of games for kids of all ages to play. Love that there's a bounce house in the back with lots of seating to eat the food. I was especially pleased with the tater tots, pizza and chicken tenders we ordered. My toddlers can be picky eaters even with 'non healthy' options everywhere we go but they ate almost everything I put in front of them at Lariat Bowl. The prize hub was stocked and we went home with some cool prizes too. A good time had and money well spent. We will be back! read more

We had the worst experience tonight at Lariat Bowl. the bad thing the bowlers in the next lane to us would not give us lane etiquette. (give the bowlers on the lanes next to you the right of way) they were /have been drinking and should have been 86 the counter person did not try to do anything about the problem. everyone needs CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING these days. Had a very bad experience with the customer service and dishonest business practices with Lariat Bowl. It is the only bowling alley in Red Bluff and has been around forever, but I will never go again for any reason. When booking a birthday party, we were told it would be around $170 for 10 plus adults. Not a problem, but when we got to the bowling alley, the table was set up on the middle of the walkway with no room on either side to move. The table would have been ok for 8 small children, no adults. It was also 2 feet from the next birthday party, 2 feet from the check in desk, and 2 feet from the railing to the lower section to the lanes. We were told on the phone it included pizza, drinks, an hour of bowling, and party favors for the kids. When we arrived and saw the set up, I immediately said, "this WILL NOT work. Are there any other areas for the table?" We were told no, and then it got worse. The woman working the front counter, who I've seen there for at least 15 years, became over the top rude. She even acknowledged her behavior, but did not apologize. I asked when the set up changed, because not very long ago, birthday parties were hosted in a back room. She said, "a long time ago" then counted back to December on her fingers and replied,"4 months ago". I asked her again for any other options, to which she started ranting about "attendants coming in to host the party", "precooked pizzas being made", etc. the attendants were 2 girls around 12 or 14. The precooked pizzas?!? You don't make them at the time of the party? We tried to regroup and asked if we could just pay for a few lanes of bowling, the pizzas and drinks and skip the rest. She got angrier, I said never mind, gathered up the kids, sent out a mass text and we moved the party to Round Table. The service was amazing, the pizza hot and fresh and tasty and the kids had plenty of room. Oh and while we were at Lariat Bowl, half of the local police force was inside settling a dispute between other patrons. While not the businesses fault, it created a really crummy environment for the kids. It would have been nice for the rude lady up front to direct her rage towards having the police and the parties involved moved outside of the children's area. read more

My husband and I and few friends came down to lariat bowl for the red Bluff round up bowling tournament I was sitting with my fellow bowlers I was not bowling this round I was going to be bowling the next round the lady at the counter by the name of Susan told me that I could not sit with my husband and my friends that I needed to sit in the spectator section. I will never come here again I took my name out of the hat they are losing out on money. As well as business from my big family and large network of friends. I am so upset. Don't go there. There are such better bowing alleys where people treat you with decency !!! read more

I have frequented this place since I was in elementary school. I took my first date here in the 8th grade! Cheesy yeah I know. This place has really changed over the past ten years. It used to be a run down bowling alley that attracted stoners and drunks. However, it isn't like that anymore!!!! They now have a miniature golf course, lanes that are simply gorgeous, and staff that really makes you feel welcome. Their prices are really cheap, food is good for bowling alley standards. And the thing that I Love the most about this place? They are involved with the Community! Chris Goddard is the GM there and he's involved with all sorts of stuff. They are the kind of small business that I want to see in this town for a long time to come! Go check them out! read more

A bowling alley and mini golf course in one!? Awesome! We went on a saturday evening around 6pm and it was pretty dead. We started with mini golf which was about 6 bucks a person (pretty good compared to Central Valley prices). The course was really cool with different terrains to act like "hazards" such as sand traps and roughs. There is great landscaping all around it as well. It was nice that we had the course all to ourselves :) definitely not a standard mini golf course with cheesy props... Although I do enjoy those too, but this was a nice change. The only suggestion is that there should be a defined starting "tee off" point... I was confused where to place my ball at the beginning of many. Next we went in for a couple of rounds of bowling and they had black lights on and music in the background... It was a nice laid back feel with about 15 lanes. There were probably about 5 of the lanes being used. It was nice not having to shout over the music to communicate :) Prices again were a little better than i'm used to...about 5 bucks a round and 3.50 for shoes. All staff were pretty nice and helpful. I also visited the bar and the one bad thing is they charge $1.50 to use debit card... But understandable for a small town. Service here was a little slow, we stood there over 5 min just waiting to order a couple of drinks. It would have been nice to just be acknowledged / greeted when we first walked up. Overall, nice place and I would return if ever in the area! They should Definitely think about doing a bowling/golfing package to encourage people doing both and good for dates :) perhaps even doing like $1.00 off bowling if you golf or some kind of special like that. read more

Very unhappy with Lariat Bowl! My daughter was looking forward to going to Rock and bowl all week, then when we get there they tell us we can't bowl because someone is having a party. I understand having a party but Lariat Bowl could at least keep their website up to date to inform people of when it's reserved. Lariat Bowling has the best customer service! I went to their New Year's Eve event with my friends and family. It was packed and busy but the staff was on top of it. The staff was fun, engaging and attentive. We had so much fun bowling, playing air hockey and mini golfing. We can't wait to go back! read more

We brought a gaggle of my cousins in to bowl. While paying, the cashier seemed annoyed by our presence which confuses me since we were bringing money to her business. We payed for our first lane and then went to pay for the second, and a pair of socks was added on to our bill that we did not ask for. When told that we didnt need them she said "you can keep them or give them back cause they are yours now." Completely rude and uncalled for comment. We shold have been refunded for the socks. I also went to buy some frys for the kids and asked for a large he told me the total i paid and then was informed they had only one size "one size fits all frys." Once again i was paying for something i didnt ask for and then being patronized for it. All in all the children had fun but they did not have to deal with the adults who seem to have absolutly no people skills what so ever. read more

After being told we wouldn't be able to bowl unless we wait 2 hours we decided to play golf. The course wasn't bad but it was poorly lit and hard to see where and what to do. What a bummer :(. Took my kids last night for the first time...had a horrible experience with the older man. He was short and completely rude with us. He didn't even want to answer our questions. We ordered pizza he forgot our pizza and then got upset because we reminded him about it, he put our pizza in to go boxes. I will never again take my kids there again. read more

Recently our wellness center took our clients on an mini-golf outing that they had worked hard all month to earn. We arrived at Lariat Bowl at around 11:00 a.m. on Thursday and found that they didn't open until 3:00 p.m. As we were standing in the parking lot trying to figure out another activity for our clients, we were greeted in the parking lot by management. After hearing our dilemma, management then decided to open their mini golf course to accommodate our clients for their earned outing!! Way to go Lariat Bowl! Management was super friendly. The mini golf course is beautifully done. And a great time was had by all!! read more

A horrible place to bring your family, the employees are very rude and try to make the kids leave unless they are literally putting $ in the machines the whole time they are there, sooooo rude we need a place where kids and teens can go without being harassed and yelled at being told to leave if they are not putting quarters in the games.. . Great fun in Red Bluff, about one of the only things for kids to do in RB. The food is nasty however..

We are fairly new to the area, only here about a year and a half. We were looking for someplace to take our daughter and a friend for her 15th birthday. We had seen the bowling alley sign quite a few times while driving through Red Bluff and thought it would be fun to go there. It was a Saturday afternoon and when we walked in, the place was so clean and cozy and we were greeted at the desk by a very friendly woman who was very helpful and told us if we needed help setting up the score board to let her know. After bowling two games the kids went into the arcade there and had a super time. The arcade was kind of small and one of the machines was out of order, but they had fun anyway. There was also a snack bar there and the food was very reasonably priced. We didn't eat there so I can't review that! They knew it was our daughters' birthday so they dedicated a song to her over the sound system. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. If you like to bowl and are looking for somewhere to go I would recommend this place very highly. read more
