But I'm realistic, so "less" rolls and flab would be fine by me. Totally reasonable, right? I also wanted to start eating better, just little steps toward being physically awesome and yummy or whatever. But more than all that is my energy level. [at the time of this writing] I'm 42, and I have noticed how much more energy it takes to get out of bed, do my husband/parenting/work thing and generally take on the day. It's been 2 months since I started seeing Ashley, and I'm not going to say this has been easy. Hell, anyone that has thought of or even gone so far as buying a gym membership will tell you it's not easy, even to show up. And I'm not going to tell you that Ashley has made this whole thing all puppies and rainbows. She pushes me, and she will push you. Because that's what I need, and that's what you need. She is professional and kind and personable. She knows her stuff and will share her knowledge with you. She will track your progress and make you a little better, each and every time. She will check in with you, challenge you, encourage you, even when you are not in her presence (she has been known to text me with workout challenges now and then). You will do your body and mind a favor by working with Ashley. She will help you be who you want to be. Give her a try, you won't regret it!

She set me up with a meal plan that fit my eating habits and taught me how to monitor and count my macros. I've been able to stay disciplined with my diet and managed to stick with my workout program as well. The first week she worked with me each day to teach me proper form and how to complete a set of reps for my routine. After she and I both felt comfortable enough to let me work through my program solo, I continued on my path to a better me each week. If I had any questions, she was one phone call away. If there was something I wanted to incorporate into my diet that wasn't already listed, she made sure to do so. I've worked with a lot of trainers and programs and hands down, this is the best I've ever felt. Thank you Ashley!

Shasta four times, completing the 100-mile Wildflower Bike Ride with no specialized training, and hitting some major lifts (400+ lb squat, 500+ lb deadlift, 245 lb clean and jerk, 205 lb snatch). When I moved to Red Bluff four years ago, the thing I missed most was a truly great CrossFit gym. That gap is now filled with Buddy-Up CrossFit! Eric and his team are off to an amazing start. The facility is beautiful with brand-new equipment and strong AC (a lifesaver in the summer). The programming is smart and scalable--whether you're brand new to fitness or chasing big goals, you'll find a path forward. Best of all, the community is already supportive, welcoming, and fun. If you've been thinking about starting CrossFit, or you've been missing a gym that pushes you while keeping it enjoyable, Buddy-Up CrossFit is the place to be. I'm excited to keep training here and watch both the gym and its members grow stronger together.

I travel a lot and feel lucky to have stumbled upon this high class facility for only a 15 dollar drop in fee. I had messaged this gym on my interest in doing a drop in for a day or two. I received a response back with no issues. The place was easy to find and had parking around the perimeter. I walked in and was greeted by Jason (the owner) and Valerie. They were both very welcoming and all smiles. After the waiver, Jason took me on a quick tour of the facility. The upstairs was like a recreational room with a TV and a couch, with some locker rooms. I noticed it was very clean and well kept. You can over look the gym from upstairs. Downstairs, after passing a hall way with more locker rooms, you arrived at the main training room. One giant room to fit a boxing ring, a large area of mats (where we did our BJJ class), and a workout room of free weights and a large rig for pull-ups and squats. Brandon is their black belt instructor and he was very welcoming and enthusiastic when he teaches and talks. Great energy even though he taught a Muay Thai class just prior to BJJ class. A standard BJJ class on warm ups, followed up with instruction and positional rolling, with live rolling. I did noticed that Brandon goes around the class as he assist and watches his students drill the move of the day. I had no issues with rolling with any of his students or him. Everyone had great attitudes. *Observations of the gym* I did noticed there were times that Valerie would walk around to clean equipment or windows. This shows that they care for the gym and members. I'm not sure if they have showers. This gym does have a nice 'family' vibe to it, but I did not see any kids or know the policy of having kids around. Overall, great place to visit or to become a member.
