Distraught because I lost my Mailbox keys, recently moved my household and my aunt's. Having Cancer knowing my meds were already delivered I asked to speak to a supervisor I met with a lovely petite grayish haired supervisor who kindly held my mail. my second trip I was met with an arrogant blonde short supervisor with pronounced eyebrows, who was argumentative unhelpful and told me that the rules of Informed Delivery are not set in stone. Put a BD card to be picked up out on my mailbox. It was not picked up after 2 days, mon. & Tues. I finally took it to the post office at 3:00 pm on the 2nd day. Needed it to ship priority, and was told it was $11:00, should be there Mon. But no guarantee, or i could pay $33.00 and guarantee next day. We'll i am not paying that much for a BD card, so now it will be delivered late. Asked for a manager, waited 20 min. and he never came out of the back. I already went to the post office, spoke to a supervisor and expected that my mail (which was not coming to me) was being straightened out. At that time, he gave me 28 pieces of mail that had been undelivered. After that, I assumed it had been straightened out, but now (two weeks later) my mail is not coming again. The computer (which is all I can reach) keeps telling me I have to go to the post office to handle this, but what is the point? When I call, I NEVER get a person, just a computer which can't do anything but tell me to go BACK TO THE POST OFFICE). I have heard that the current (national) head of the post office is connected with UPS and is just trying to get the post office to fail and, more and more, that seems to be the case... Taking away the possibility of reaching a live person by phone at the PO is a big step backward. read more

So many negative comments as for me is my first time ever going in there I did had to make a line it went as fast as it could and they treat me so nice really do recommend it so many people complaining people are made out of complaints and it is not about this place it's about everywhere they go why do you go there in the first place if you want to complain about it ,go another post office where they could treat you good if you find one some of these places are short staffed people don't wanna work anymore. Most incompetent post office I've ever had to deal with. Had a package delivered while I wasn't home, which needed to be signed for. Mail carrier left the slip stating that the package could be picked up the next day or I had the option to reschedule delivery. I went the next day to the post office to pick up my package, however they were unable to locate my package. I waited there a half hour while they looked, but had an appointment I had to get to so I left my phone number for them. About an hour later I got a call that they found my package. At this point I asked them to attempt a delivery tomorrow because I would not make it back to the post office before they closed. The next day my mail carrier drops my mail in my box and yet again no package. I called the post office again and once again they have no idea where my package is. The person I spoke with said there where 5 trucks that it could be on and she would reach out to them to see who had it and when it would be expected to be delivered. Over an hour later I still had not heard from them so I called back, as I had somewhere to be. She said she still had not located my package, but as soon as she did she would call to see what time would be good to deliver. An hour later they attempted to deliver my package and of course I was not home. As soon as I got home I called the post office again and asked them why they attempted to deliver without calling me. The person on the phone said that the post master found the package at the facility and wanted to get it to me. I explained that I was supposed to get a call from then when they located it so I could make sure I was home. read more

I see so many negative reviews but I have never had a bad experience at this post office. I find it ironic that so many people say the workers are "old and cranky" yet when I am there, all I see is older and cranky customers. Don't believe everything you read and please don't treat the staff poorly because you are frustrated with the mail system -- it is not the fault of the front line people who are coming into work day in and day out. My only wish: that priority boxes/labels could be picked up after hours since they are free. My work hours prevent me from getting to the post office most weekdays and I often end up needing a priority box after hours to pack an order. read more

I very rarely ever go to the counters-I that bi the last time before today was 5years ago. And I know why -they are downright rude and incompetent. We were there and bought an expensive me ney order from them; this was at 1:45 pm We informed the postal worker that we had to rester it and wanted to get it mailed today. However they wouldn't let us back in!This rude man had us waiting in the lobby for 15 minutes and by that time tih rude woman stated -oh were already cashed out. Jesus Christ the postal service is the worst functioning corporation in the world. I have mailed probably 40 to 50 two to three day envelopes in the last 6 months and not a single one has arrived on time. This last one is the straw that broke the camel's back. I sent a package 8 days ago and I keep getting text messages saying it's in transit yet when I call the 1-800 number all I get is I can't find it it was in Atlanta blah blah blah I'm so stupid I don't know what the f*** I'm doing. Worst location ever under new management. Slow AF. I ship daily, they stopped processing prepaid packages and they stay there for up to 2 days. Now I have customers complaining about late deliveries. If you need to get package drop off confirmation, now you have to wait in the 15-20 minute line since all employees take their time talking to each other and every customer on irrelevant topics. I've been in largo for 20 years. I have had numerous issues with this post office. The fact that the managers never care when you bring a complaint to them. They never act on it there's never an out come. They don't care so why would employees care how they do their job. I should say a Lack of doing their job. Modern era of security cameras a wonderful thing to catch my delivery postal worker person not walking up to my front door to ring bell or knock on door so I can sign for the package I have been waiting for all day to be delivered. Amazing how they just don't care about your mail. How important some packages truly are. I have it on my security cams that mine couldn't be bothered to come to my door. But took time to fill out form stating I wasn't there to sign for package. Sat at my mailbox filling and signing that form which is a lie. Stuck it on my mail at mailbox, not at my door in the mailbox. I have proof never attempted to walk to my door I have proof I was there. The manager at this Largo Post Office an older lady who truly doesn't not care and from what I understand that she knows they do it and does nothing about it. Oh well you can drive to post office next day to get it. So not only do I have to be at my home all day but be around next day which happened to be a Saturday to go get my package they failed to deliver. She did not want my name or address to see what employee was assigned to delivering my mail that day. She did not care that I could show on my phone the footage from my cameras from front of my house that the person NEVER got out of their truck! It's disgusting when someone goes out of their way to do a wrong thing then sign their name to that lie and nothing gets done. I sent a formal complaint to the post master generals office in DC I truly hope they address this issue. This isn't first time with this problem but it's first time I can prove it. If you can't trust them then they do not deserve to have that job. The world is a bad place now with alarming amounts of people who just don't care about right and wrong. I had to drop off a letter for certified mail on a Monday morning; needless to say everyone's mail needs from the weekend spilled out onto this Monday like mine did and the post office was teeming with life. To my surprise, I was in and out in 5 minutes, tops! There were at least 4 people working behind the counter assisting customers and there was an ambulant worker with a mobile payment terminal helping people with cashless transactions on the floor. The postman who authorized my transaction was very thorough with explaining payments and how to track my letter and was very professional when I declined his upsell to buy some stamps to take home. When our regular postman is sick or on personal leave, the substitute mail carrier, on various times, delivering the mail bypasses my home because he or she has to get out of the mail truck & deliver the mail to my front door. Yesterday, I was informed by the Postal Service that a letter from Medicare would be delivered yesterday. No mail yesterday. Today, I was informed that (2) letters & other material would be delivered today. The postwoman passed my home & I attempted to call her & she continued down the street ignoring my call. I finally talked to her & stated that yesterday & today there there was no mail for me. She stated that she has no mail for me & that I should call the Post Office. I went to the post office yesterday to address an issue with mail forwarding. I was unfortunate to have a conversation with manager Beverly. Although she admitted that the mail was being misrouted and it was their fault, she proceeded to attack me by saying I need to just let everyone know of my new address. So I say what's the purpose of forwarding? USPS states forwarding can be in place for up to 12 months. I don't currently have a permanent address to provide. Beverly insisted it doesn't matter, and that I shouldn't be using the forwarding service. In addition, if you call the post office no one answers....it just rings then disconnects. I have lived in this area since 1976 . In my experiences, the staff at the Largo post office are not only knowledgeable, but friendly . I have never had an issue with anyone who works there or the quality of their work. My guess is that the majority of negative reviews were posted by people who do not like the government in any way shape or form. read more

Went in to talk to supervisor as a card mailed to me came extremely late and gift card had been stolen out of it and envelope tapped shut. A package I mailed for a Christmas gift never made its destination. I felt supervisor should know in case there are other complaints. She stood there and said nothing and had a very blank look. Didn't seem to care at all. Didn't have this problem with cards my dad sent that went through other post offices. I won't bother going back. While the people who work the counter are always great, between how poorly this place is maintained and the lack of "give a crap" from the supervisor I am not sure how this place remains open. 1 star as I guess you have to read more

If you receive an email from the post office claiming you have been selected to take a survey Do Not Do It. They tell you the gift was free and you only have to pay for shipping. My shipping was$ 19.93 I was charged double and when I tried to call the number provided they were closed. When I was able to speak with someone she did not help me to fix or even understand why I was over charged. She quickly told me the charges have already been processed and there was nothing she could do, then told me she had other customers to attend to and would be hanging up as she felt she already explained herself. This is the worst method of shipping. They lost 2 packages because their contracted delivery person marked it as delivered. Don't bother using usps and ship safely with anyone else. I am federal security officer presently deployed in Barrow, Alaska and will come back to Largo in less than a month. I have PO Box (USPS office on 50 8th Av. SW, Largo) with "Automatic Renewal" feature. Credit card is on file and for some reason USPS could not draw money from my credit card, even everything is OK with it. I called this office, Mrs. Kim answered and she was very polite. She recommended me to get call back, when person in charge is done dealing with other customer. I accepted offer and Mr. Jack Soto called me back in less than 10 minutes. I explained him problem with my PO Box renewal and I offered to pay by phone. He told me that USPS don't use credit cards or debit cards over phone, so I should send check by mail. Also, to expedite process, he offered to pay my renewal fee, from his own pocket and I would send him a check, to pay him back. I accepted offer: He paid my renewal fee and I sent him a check. It is worth noting that we have never met or talked before. He acted in very professional, knowledgeable and friendly way. Mailed two gifts from this location on the same day, both were stolen and delivered empty to the receivers! Both gifts were from Costa Rica and cannot be easily replaced I'm absolutely disgusted with this place! Kids receiving ripped open packages with nothing in them that's messed up. I also had to buy stamps and the only ones in stock were Christmas wreaths.... It's June.... Wtf! I will never..... Never.... Come back to this location, and I will probably never use the U.S. Postal service again. Last time I checked stealing mail was a crime but evidently it's acceptable at this location. It seems a few of these reviews are mentioning the same condescending manager/supervisor and this review is no different. I stopped by this location yesterday morning to check up on a package that I had sent out over a week ago via priority mail (which should have only taken 2-3 days). I provided the tracking number to the employee at the desk and since she was new, she asked for the manager to come speak with me. After waiting 10 minutes on the side, the manager comes out and immediately starts talking down to me, saying that no such tracking number exists. I am shocked. She continues to use the same rude tone, saying that the package was never scanned in (implying that I didn't bring in the package at all) and that "No, I can't find out where it is located". I hadn't even spoken a word at this point. She did not apologize for anything, nor did she try to make me feel better about the situation. Since I am the seller of the package, this loss is more concerning because I not only lose out on my product, but also my earnings. Finally, when she's done berating me, I ask how it is possible that I was able to obtain a receipt from the employee that I literally watched scan my package that day. Her only snarky answer was: "Sometimes packages get scanned but don't actually scan into the system." What!? So all this time, people were just "pretending" to scan my stuff? I understand that lost mail happens all the time, but this review is solely because of this manager's bad attitude and poor customer service. The only saving grace was when the employee (who initially helped me) apologized on her manager's behalf after I requested the customer service number. July 3, 2021: My mailbox was "stuffed" with various types of mail: outdated ads/coupons/junk mail that expired in April...ok fine. BUT, I had moved into the new address in March. It also had, my bills from March, new insurance policy on property, new checks that I had to reorder (I had a serious discussion with my bank as to why they weren't sent), a check for over $700.00 ( I have a serious discussion with another company regarding this money), property title etc, etc. I will be going to the Largo, Florida Post Office as soon as it opens in regards to holding this mail!
