The food was mediocre and the service was horrible. It looks good like a great restaurant but we should have looked at the reviews first. One person in our group (of 6) never got their dinner and were charged for an extra beer. The waitress argued with us about the beer and threw the kitchen under the bus about the missed entree, plus added a 20% gratuity. First, our waitress was amazing, and the guy who greeted us at the door was very friendly. He accommodated us as we argued about "inside" or "outside". That said, when you enter the restaurant the first thing you see is a bunch of cardboard boxes stacked up. IDK if that is temporary storage, but it needs to be hidden. Our table was wobbly. We dealt with it because we were hungry. I ordered a combo plate. Taco, enchilada, chalupa. Mike ordered some sort of chicken breast smothered in cheese. My cheese enchilada was very good, but you'd have to work extra hard to screw up a cheese enchilada. The taco was okay, so was the chalupa. Our server Kinlee, did not come back to our table one time after she brought our food. We sat there a while as she passed us going to serve other tables. I tried to stop her twice to get napkins. I got someone else attention and got napkins. I was very thirsty, and she never brought me another water. My coworker had to stop some one else to get a to go plate and our checks. If I could give it zero stars I would. We started with top shelf margaritas and they were less than impressive , tasted of all mixer and yellow. Next we ordered the sampler platter also bad, the poppers fell apart and were frozen, the quesadilla was microwaved, the cheese dip was ok and definitely not homemade. My husband ordered a grilled chicken dish with peppers and onions and a "salad" on the side that our waiter asked if he wanted dressing on turns out it was a blob of pico de gallo so that would've been gross and that's not salad. Learn what you're serving. I ordered lunch #3 the chili relleno was the worst I've ever had. It was full of beef which was not stated on the menu and it wasn't a poblano but a sliver of green pepper that had been frozen so the texture was disgusting, the tamale was dried out and the enchilada was less than appetizing needless to say I didn't eat much. Ate here during a business trip with 2 colleagues. Recommended by our desk clerk at the local Hampton Inn. It was raining heavily - we ate on the covered patio. Stayed dry and was very comfortable. Parking on the street was a little difficult, as the restaurant is situated between the local Democratic and Republican party headquarters, and both had meetings that night. Had to park around the corner, about a block away. We were offered top-shelf margaritas, which we politely declined for the house mix. No problems. Tasty and refreshing. Tortilla chips are paper-thin and crispy. I really prefer thin chips - you can eat a few more without filling up. They were freshly fried up. Salsa was a little ordinary, but not bad. Meals were all very good. The menu wasn't too extensive, but we all ordered different things, and everything was hot, well-prepared, and very tasty. Our server was attentive and very friendly. She was quick to offer suggestions and kept in touch with us throughout the meal without being conspicuous. We'll be back when we're in town again. read more

I wish I'd taken a picture, really poor quality steak, and the nachos were awful. Shredded lettuce, no cheese, what bland refried beans and sour cream. Stopped in on 12/15/16 after meeting with a client up in El Dorado... Was a little after 1 PM and was starving since I hadn't eaten all day...heard they had a decent burger so thought I'd give it a try... When I walked in I was in the small bar area and ended up eating there...didn't see much of the restaurant but it appeared this place is basically the bar and a rather large patio which they had enclosed from the winter elements...The location (downtown on the courthouse square) is great and I bet a lazy lunch during the spring or summer would be a great way to while away an afternoon... The staff they had working didn't seem too interested in my presence when I first walked in but I stood at the bar (politely) until they realized I wasn't leaving...told them I'd make it easy on them and eat in the bar but I was eating... Asked if they had a burger option as I'd been told they had a good one...They did, I ordered, received promptly and the burger was damn good! Can't speak to the Mexican fare this place offers and the staff needs to be a little more friendly and in all honesty the burger saved this place from getting a 2* review... But if I'm back in El Dorado I'd stop in again...not for the atmosphere or the outstanding service but the burger... read more

Just not good and our server wasn't attentive either. We ordered appetizers and had planned to order entrees but he never came back and got our orders. Drinks weren't refilled or anything. We had planned a long visit and would have ordered food, but he decided we had enough I guess. The two appetizers were pitiful. Their version of cheese dip is thin, runny white cheese, and it certainly wasn't enough for 2-3 people. The nachos were all chips and barely had any toppings on them. I was really over cooking for 2 straight weeks so my boyfriend & I came here for dinner one day. We were seated quickly & the service was great. They have a nice patio outside. That's what the 2 stars is for. We ordered chips & salsa as an appetizer. I got the enchilada el dorado. I was not impressed with any of the food we got. My chicken wasn't seasoned that well. & there wasn't anything inside them besides tiny strips of chicken & the creamy enchilada sauce reminded me of an Alfredo sauce... Frozen margarita was good. I have been a long-time customer of Laredo Grill, and I have enjoyed the food there immensely. The prices are good, and portions are more than adequate. Normally this would be a 5-star rating, but my experience today regarding Covid-19 safety was unsettling at best & infuriating at worst. At 1:30 pm on May 25, 2020 (Memorial Day) we had been seated appropriately outside by a server wearing a mask, after we arrived, also wearing masks, as instructed by posted signs. At 1:55pm, while waiting on our food, we witnessed a young adult couple with a little girl arrive, and while still outside on the sidewalk, they were visibly disturbed at the signs requiring masks since they had none. A female server, the only one working at the time with dark hair, greeted them at the restaurant door. After a brief conversation, the family was ushered (without masks) through the front door and directly out to the terrace, walking very close to our table. They were then seated at a side table. This restaurant should require masks to walk through the restaurant near other guests. Safety requirements were the very reason we chose this restaurant. Once seated, it is understandable to remove masks, but while passing occupied tables, everyone needs to wear a mask if that is what the guidelines say. The server's disregard tells me and my companions that Laredo is not serious about compliance or about our safety. We may come back after the virus safety measures are no longer necessary, according to the State guidelines, not the opinion of a single server to disregard them. Maybe we won't. Had a horrible experience here last night. We had a group of 13 people total who came to eat, but split our table into 4 checks. I had 5 total on my check. Each of our orders were wrong. 3 of us had vegetables on our orders when we ordered no veggies. Figured no problem, we will just pick them off. I got no sides with my meal and by the time we left still had not received any sides. 2 of our drinks were wrong. My son did not get the sides he requested. There sour cream sauce is HORRIBLE - it is very sweet and tastes like someone poured sugar into watered down sour cream. Two of us ordered queso sauce (one got red sauce, the other got that horrible sour cream sauce). Was told because there was too much missing, I would not get a refund or even a discount on the plate that my cousin would not eat. One waitress kept making my husband uncomfortable by touching him constantly. The bathrooms were not very clean. Manager was horribly unprofessional. Had to go get my card to pay my bill and they put way more stuff on it by the time I got back. Pointed out the issue of my bill going up $40 and the waitress said well the 2 ladies paid for their samplers and the black lady paid for hers and the other people paid for theirs so this is all yours. Showed her the items that were not mine. Had to get the manager to fix my bill. They would not take off the auto gratituty because there were 8+ people in our party even though out orders were not correct, we did not receive good service, and the manager was rude. DO NOT GO HERE BECAUSE IF YOU HAVE AN ISSUE IT WILL NOT BE RESOLVED AND THE MANAGER WILL JUST SHRUG HIS SHOULDERS AND BASICALLY TELL YOU ITS NOT HIS PROBLEM ITS YOURS. read more

MAD festival!! Opening weekend & drove in for the music fest & had lunch from an abbreviated menu due to the festival. Hubby had the fish & thought they were fried perfectly & not greasy, fries were crisp. A little expensive (14$) for fries, fish & hush puppies but understandable during a festival. I had a beef burrito & side of refried beans (7$)They had a full bar & the mixed drinks were good as well. After the music festival this was the ONLY place open so we went back & had dinner. Tacos al carbon (14$) 3 steak tacos, beans,rice & salad. The steak was tender & had a great flavor. I had a beef soft taco (2$). We had great service for both visits, only real complaint was they ran out of Jim Beam & Modelo beer. Hope they prepare better for the next festival. read more

I would give 5 stars for ambiance. Really nice cozy patio. Food well price was okay you buy everything you ask for. Yes chips and salsa 1.99, cheese sauce 3.99 tasty, combo meal 7.99 not so tasty. I had a chili relleno came out round like pancake. Last time I noticed Chilis are not pancake shape. Good idea if it had some chilies in it and some cheese. Toco was okay I've had better. I left wanting flavor. Hamburger and fries 7.99 seasoned very well. I will not be returning. read more
