First time trying a Flying Burger. It came highly recommended from a friend who use to live in El Dorado. My son and I stopped in for lunch on our way to Ruston, LA. I ordered the shrimp po boy and he ordered the double hamburger steak with onions. Po'boy was good, the shrimp were cooked perfectly, the bread was ok. I added some remolaude sauce to top things off. I was just hoping for a few more shrimp. They were decent size but only come with 4 shrimp. My son devoured his hamburger steak, he said he wished the onions were grilled longer. Other than that he had no complaints. Fries were great. According to my son the sweet tea was the best! I wish we could get one of these in Conway, AR! I know a great location! read more

Stopped in for dinner last Friday while home for the holidays around 8pm. We ordered the Salmon Salad & the grilled Salmon dinner. It's been years since I've visited, but the food was just as I remembered--very good. The salmon for my salad was cooked well as requested. FB still has some of the best hush puppies ever. We made this choice on a whim and glad that we did. We didn't even get a picture of any of the food because it was devoured, so y'all are going to have to take my word for it!! My colleagues recommended this place, so we met here for lunch. It is a very popular place, and we were lucky to find a pair of parking spaces. I found my double cheeseburger to be fresh and delicious. I opted for grilled onions to be added. I was charged extra for the pepper jack cheese, as well as other ingredients. Two of my coworkers decided upon grilled chicken salads, which they heartily devoured. The restaurant workers were highly organized, and the line that I stood in moved relatively quickly. After you pay, they give you an alerting coaster to hold onto until your meal is ready. The restaurant uses very high-quality ingredients, prominently displayed in a cooler case located next to the cash registers. I was in town working a job and had dinner here last night. I had the 3 piece fried catfish meal and everything was excellent! The catfish was fried perfectly and served immediately so it and the fries were fresh and hot. Speaking of fries, they were fresh potatoes, which I really enjoyed,not the frozen ones served at most places. Another bonus for me was the tartar sauce which was very tasty and I am pretty sure was homemade. Also, I can't leave out the hush puppies, delicious! I will definitely be back next time I'm in town. First time trying a Flying Burger diner, and we were not at all disappointed. Huge, well prepared burgers with quality ingredients and above average fries. Bonus points for being a delicious option in an out of the way area with somewhat limited dining choices. This was a few months ago. We were roadtripping on back highways, en route to Nashville from DFW metroplex. Decided to get a room in El Dorado to break up the drive. Just wanted a yummy and relatively quick dinner that wasn't fast food, wasn't a far drive, and didn't require a change of clothes. Haha! This place completely fit the bill. It's a little off the beaten path (not on one of the main drags through town), but still pretty easy to find. Nice and clean inside, plenty of seating, friendly and helpful staff, and very busy, despite being only an hour or so until closing time. The menu is diverse. Many choices, including full on dinners, for those who don't want a burger. The decor is old-school diner and the vibe is cheerful and upbeat, with lots of families and groups having a fun night out. If we drive this route again, we will definitely eat here! read more

We jumped over here for lunch after picking up our Home Depot items. My fish tacos were wonderful. Just what I expect from the other flying burgers I have visited. However, my husbands crispy chicken sandwich had spicy mustard on it which he did not like at all. Maybe be sure to tell them what you want on the sandwich so you get it like you like it. The only other issue is the floor always seems to be gritty and dirty for some reason. The food is good. Also the ladies restroom sink did not work. read more

I was quite uncomfortable to spend my lunch time inside the restaurant. When I first walked in the floors were noticeably dirty, and the restaurant smelled like dirty mop water . I let it go and decided to order anyway. After placing my order I was sitting down waiting at a table by the window and there were too many flies inside the the restaurant. Overall I was so turned off by how dirty the tables and floors were that I requested my meal to go. The complaint of the meal is another story , but it was fine considering how hungry I was at the time. El Dorado -FB is way to expensive for the restaurant to visibly look disgusting. I expect better. The restaurant wasn't busy neither , so there isn't an excuse why none of servers were cleaning etc. today! read more

This business doesn't seem to follow Covid guidelines. 1/2 of the crew working didn't even have a mask on. I saw one guy in the back cough in his hand then go get a piece of raw meat and throw on the grill. He didn't even have gloves on. So, normally when I need a burger fix and I'm in El Dorado, Arkansas, I make it a point to stop in at this neat kinda old school eatery. I usually go in and head straight to the counter, but this time I stared at the menu a bit longer. That day I was not ready for my usual "fat attack" (big cheeseburger). Every time I go there I am greeted by a very polite person ready to take my order or help me decide (kudos y'all). So I decided to go unconventional and order the shrimp souvlaki (I'm Greek and it's sacrilegious to say kabob), black beans with white rice (hey Flying Burger, would you consider adding congri cubano?), and a side salad. The shrimp ka&@& (I can't do it, sorry! Souvlaki!) was spot on. The salad was crisp and tasty, and the black beans with rice was nice. Really enjoyed the whole dish. I will be ordering this again. I went in during the evening rush. I ordered the double burger platter with cheese. They give you a pager. The dining area was about half full and I began to regret not trying the seafood. It looked like everyone was throughly enjoying it. I think it took about ten minutes for the pager to go off. The burger was absolutely delicious. The patty was crisp on the outside and taste was incredible. The fries were undercooked and over spiced. I thought about taking a star for that but the burger more than made up for it. I had the Crispy Catfish Po-Boy with a side of french fries, hushpuppies, and slaw. First is this place cannot make french fries. They are limp and lifeless. Everything else was perfect but I don't know how a place can make perfectly crispy catfish but not understand how to make crispy fries. The Po-Boy was excellent. The catfish was cooked to perfection and was light and fluffy on the inside of the crispy breaded shell. The hoagie bun was soft and fresh and the veggies inside went perfect with the fish. The hushpuppies were crispy and flavorful. The coleslaw cost extra but it was an interesting flavor. It wasn't syrupy sweet like KFC but had a mayo light taste that I enjoyed. The food was good if you want to eat with your eyes closed. We only stayed because it was so hot and we were on that side of town. The owner has no pride in this restaurant anymore. It's sad! No one wipes the tables ever! This was my second visit in the last few months. Same both times. It's very dirty and run down. Bathrooms are awful. Was not busy when we were there there was plenty time for the employees to be tidying up, they just stand around and chat. There was one employee at the dirty table behind us playing with her phone.
