The management allows drunks behind to bully, harass, and assault the other people just wanting ti watch a show. They do not care that you didn't come there for that and allow it to go on all night until you finally have to leave. When asked if they could please intervene, numerous times, so we could enjoy the show, they dismiss you a take the side of the ones who were over served by the venue!! Horrible experience. read more

Saw Studio Two on Friday Nov 5th. Best Beatles Tribute band ever!!! Always love the whole experience at the Larcom! They always have the best bands! Even their bartenders are top notch!!!! Service is always fast and friendly!!! Always one of my favorite nights out!!! read more

What a great hidden gem in historic Beverly. The venue is impeccable and beautiful. I went to see Harp Twins there and what an amazing and intimate experience. The staff are all very pleasant and outgoing. Beer and wine is available for purchase to consume during the show too. read more

This is a beautiful little theater with old-fashioned decorations. It's also small enough that every seat is a good seat. On a Sunday afternoon, it was pretty easy to find street parking within a 5 minute walk. They also seem to book a very wide variety of performances, so if there is something that interests you, I'd definitely recommend the venue! read more

We bought tix on Goldstar to a show (Sister's Catechism) - not exactly cheap even with the discount given the quality of the production, but it looked like fun so we figured - why not? The theatre is OK - restored old building, chairs were comfortable. Finding parking on the street was a bit of a pain, but nothing we couldn't handle. You can see they're trying to gentrify the area (but the locked restrooms in the Dunks a block over from the theatre says they aren't there yet!). We show up about 10 minutes before the show is to start and wonder if we're in the right place...it's nearly empty! When the "will-call" person looked us up and couldn't find our tickets, we pulled up our email confirmation - turns out we had purchased tickets for the wrong Sunday! Ugh!! So, I explained that we drove up from Hull (yeah, to Beverly - not exactly next door!) and asked if there was any way we could see it then, instead. I'm not an idiot - if they were sold out, then it's not possible, but we could see into the theatre (very small) and they could have taken us (again - nearly empty!!) but noooooo...they said we had to come back the next week. Now, I could see putting us on a "standby" list until the show officially started, but why, if the place isn't anywhere near capacity, would you send us away? We were so disappointed, and left...making a 90-minute drive back home. The whole thing left us with a nasty taste....but we returned the following week and did see the show. We had to give the other 2 tickets away (our original 2 friends who bought tix with us were going out of town on vacation). The show itself was fine but nothing special - and certainly NOT worth the full price tickets ($50). So I'd say, only go with a deal (Goldstar, etc.) and as long as you have reasonable expectations, it should be OK. read more

The Larcom is a handsomely restored vintage theatre, perfect for music in a small intimate space. We were fortunate to see Booker T. Jones there last weekend. Booker did all his hits with the MG's and more. The sound was excellent! There is parking on the street and at a large municipal lot just around the corner. It's a much better experience than driving into Boston. We anticipate seeing many more shows there. read more

Love this venue. The location, the history of the theater and the staff make going to the Larcom a special event?

We have been to the Larcom before and been pleased. However, Saturday June 29 was very disappointing. We drove 40 miles to see Won't Back Down, a Tom Petty tribute act. It was a very hot day and evening, and the theater was steamy. The show was scheduled to begin at 8:00 PM. At 8:05 the Bare Bones Trio, a decent opening act, came out and did covers for 40 minutes, until 8:45, which is way too long for an opening act, especially in that heat. Then we sat there sweating until 9:20 when the main act finally condescended to make an appearance. No apology, no explanation, nothing - just sitting there sweating for 35 minutes. Won't Back Down did a one hour set until 10:20 and then took a break. Band was good, but we couldn't take sitting through an intermission of unknown length to wait for the second part of the show, so we left. All in all, a very unpleasant experience. We could have put up with the terribly overheated theater if the opening act was off the stage by 8:30 and the main act took the stake by 8:35 and did a straight two hour set. I think the endless and unnecessary delay was intentional so that the theater could sell beer and more beer. read more

Hidden away on a side street (with no dedicated parking so it's side of the road and then around the downtown if that's all taken), the Larcom is a cool, older theater. I loved the various wallpapers and decorations. The seats were okay, older but not uncomfortable. The lines moved at a good clip for Will Call and concessions. The bathrooms are tiny. Only 2 stalls and they weren't very well maintained when I visited. Interesting acts with a good variety. I was there to see a muppets burlesque show and it was a total rip-off so I would never return for a show like that but some of the musical acts looked interesting. read more

first time there to see Changes in Latitudes concert on 6/22/19. When you walk up to the front door there is nothing fancy about it. It looks old and could use some sprucing up,,,,BUT,,,,, open that door and walk in and be prepared to be blown away. The inside is beautiful. The decor has been refurbished, the seating is big and comfortable and the owners were wonderful. The bathroom was updated and very, very clean. I would highly recommend going to see a show here. The stage is perfectly designed and the acoustics worked very well. read more

We visited this place for a classical performance last weekend. Located in an old brick building, the theatre was small but meticulously restored. The seats were clean and well padded while the restrooms were well kept. I liked the attention paid in restoring the decor and that includes the exit sign covers. The sound from the stage traveled well, even to the back of the theatre. It almost felt like going back in time to the 1900s. read more

Went to a comedy show NYE. Show was excellent. I purchased 3 handicapped seats as my husband is disabled. Gave my ticket to usher who got us to our seats. I was approached by Donny, a supposed owner with two nice people. He demanded to see my tix. I BOUGHT TIX FOR A HANDICAPPED PERSON WITH TWO COMPANIONS. I was sent to my seat by usher. He came over with an attitude and accusatory tone implying i bought tix under false pretenses and i was sitting in seats "that people paid for". I Also paid for our seats. His website, usher and building need updating. My husband needs handicapped seating, not necessarily a wheel chair seat. There are no signs stating that they were not handicapped seats. He was rude, and embarrassed us. I sent him and email and his response was childish, ridiculous and not at all professional. read more

If you have not yet gone to a performance at Larcom in Beverly you are missing great performances. I have been to 2, one in the fall and today 100 Years of Broadway. I have seen 100 years before in a larger venue and Larcom' s was far superior. Broadway stars, a great drummer and an incredibly talented pianist who is also a great singer, showman and audience favorite. It rivals NOrth Shore Music Theatre, which we also frequent , and is far less commercial. read more

Really cool venue for a show or an event. More importantly the owner and staff are great people. This place is a gem for the community.

I was there during the Thanksgiving weekend to watch the reggaefest. The drive is less stressful and cheaper than going to Boston. The staffs are very friendly. It is a nice, small intimate setting with great surround sound. I just wish the building interior can be renovated a little and bring things a little up to date. I will definitely go back to the venue again read more
