Look. This isn't about quality. I think they did a fine job. But sadly, I did not have the optimal experience here. After a stupid mistake, I brought my laptop in on the promise of a same-day estimate. I came on a Monday afternoon. The estimator was on vacation, so they said they'd send me an estimate Tuesday. No problem. Tuesday came and went. I called. They said they'd for sure get to it Wednesday and would send me a text. Okay... Wednesday came and went. No text. I called. The guy checked on it and got me the estimate. Well... if you guys had the estimate, why was I not contacted? At this point, they already had the laptop, I had heard good things, so I said fine, go ahead. I should have known better. They ordered the part and said 3-4 days to ship. Had they actually looked at the laptop Tuesday, there's a chance the part would have beaten the storm. But now there was no chance. The part did not actually arrive until the following Thursday. I'll point out that I did not ONCE get a text - or call, since they noted I wasn't receiving texts - and all of the follow-up was on my own time. Part finally arrives Thursday. It might be ready that day. Nope. After all of the delays, you'd think they'd at least push me to the front of the line (which they told me they did, as far as I believe that). So it's Friday by the time I get my computer back. 11 days after I dropped it off, instead of roughly 5. The only text I ever did get from them was Friday morning indicating the laptop was done, which I already knew. But it at least confirmed their text system was working, so it's just that they never bothered to use it to contact me. The juiciest part? I get the laptop back with no power cord. Hey guys, how do I turn this thing on? I know the power cord was broken when I gave you the laptop, I expected you to fix the entire thing. That's why I gave you my broken laptop. I could have ordered a cord in the week prior if I knew, but they never told me I had to. They get one star back for a laptop that - at least so far - seems to be working fine, and for the kindness of giving me a new power cord (since, of course, I would have expected that to be in the initial estimate that I agreed to - and was never told it wouldn't be, since there was no communication on their end. So overall - I'm not going to badmouth them to other people. But I'm not going to go back there again. There is a chain of poor communication that needs to be addressed in order to keep existing clients and earn new ones. I work and interact with a lot of people who own a lot of electronics, and they lost the chance for me to put in a good word and perhaps attract more business. In the long run, over may people, that won't work. Hopefully they will be more consistent and thorough with communications in the future. read more

A surprisingly good service! Because my phones keep getting banged up, I often take it here for repair, and they give them back more or less good as new! The one concern I have with them is the price. They charge as much as $100, and that's their lowest price- it can get up to $125. Oh well- I guess I should be more mindful of how I use my money here. My boyfriend's phone 6 plus was having issues (ghost texting, opening apps on its own, etc) and he really didn't want to have to take it to the Apple Store since his AppleCare has expired and he feared they'd tell him he'd have to buy a new phone. About 8 months ago, they replaced my iPhone X screen and it worked great at the beginning. I noticed that it was an LCD screen but I didn't care since the original OLED wasn't very different. But after a couple of months, the screen starting coming off on the right side and eventually, the screen started spazzing out and displaying red lines or repeated images. I believe they just use really cheap replacement screens. Probably those founds on Amazon or worse. I would've recommended them but the repair didn't even last a year and I spent more than $100 smh. Also the new screen decreased my battery life drastically to the point where I barely get an hour and a half of battery life. read more

I left my laptop with the techs weeks ago. At first I was told it only needed a hard-drive, I could have it back after the weekend. I arrived on Monday and was told they would call me when it was ready. More than a week later I had to follow up as I heard nothing from them. This went on for weeks more, until today when I was told that now it needs something else and the cost increased by 50%. Stay FAR AWAY from these people. Does a very good job repairing device issues and pretty efficiently - just make sure you fully check out your device when you pick it up. I failed to test my computer in the store (dropped off for a fan issue and it sounded quiet, so all seemed okay!), but when I got it home noticed I had no mouse functions. Problem was quickly resolved with a second visit, but could have been fixed on the spot if I checked their work thoroughly upon pickup. Shouldn't have been returned with an issue to begin with, but my fault for not checking, and I was satisfied with their ability to correct their mistake. I would still use them again. read more

I took my MacBook Pro to the Morristown location for repair, because I had a cracked screen and the entire display piece was damaged and needed to be replaced. I live in Massachusetts, but I was going to be in New Jersey for the holidays and felt it was the perfect time to get it fixed. I emailed ahead of time and spoke to Tom Gray, who told me he could have it fixed in one day and that I didn't need an appointment; walk-ins were perfectly fine. I dropped it off on a Monday, and I was told differently that it would be 2-3 days, because the technician wouldn't be in until Wednesday. This would've been solved if I knew this ahead of time when I had emailed them - I would've just made an appointment, instead, but that's fine; whatever. It's annoying, but not the end of the world. I got a call Wednesday morning with a quote, which I approved under the assumption that the entire top would be replaced, as previously discussed. By 5pm that same day, I received a text message that it was repaired and ready for pickup. Perfect! I drove out there to pick it up (it was a 45 minute drive from where I was staying - seemed worth it, because this place had good reviews). I walked in and the guy at the desk turned on my computer and handed it over. I glanced at the screen against my dark display background - no crack - so I paid and left. It wasn't until I returned home that I noticed several issues with the repair. First, it would seem that only the glass was replaced and not the entire display. This causes issue because all of the little black scratches on my display (under the glass) are still there! That's fine, I can deal with it (though annoying), but then I notice against a white Google background that there are a bunch of little tiny specks of dust under the glass. These were not there before. Lastly, I notice the little strip of rubber trim around the display is absolutely destroyed and chewed up, as if someone hacked away at it. The rubber is jagged and rough and certain parts are peeling up. Now I need to take my computer to another repair shop and if it perhaps didn't before, the entire top piece definitely needs to be replaced now. I'm really disappointed with the quality of this repair and now I'm out about $250. On the bright side, the display works and I can use the computer, but if you want a CLEAN, quality repair, this is not the place. EDIT: After posting reviews and contacting the repair shop, I did receive an apology and a full refund from the owner, Arthur Zilberman. However, I was asked to either change or remove my reviews before the refund would be issued, which is an extremely unethical and shady business practice. As soon as I removed the reviews, the transaction was voided, and the next business day, I had my money back. I am reposting my review with this edit, because I do want to warn future customers what they may* be getting into. I chose this business because all of the reviews were positive, but now I am wondering how many of those have also been altered or removed. I will be staying away from this place. EDIT 2: After a few days, I noticed the new piece of glass isn't even completely attached to my display. If I touch it in just the right spot, the screen wiggles. Regardless of the messy cosmetics of the repair, the quality is also poor and since it won't hold up, I am changing my star rating from a 2 to a 1. I have also been told from multiple Apple professionals that this repair should have never been completed. MacBook Pro displays in the Late 2011 model should never, under any circumstances, have just the glass replaced. The glass is not meant to be taken off; the computer is not built to have just the glass replaced, because it is glued together, and must always have the whole display replaced, which is what I told this repair shop to do. read more

Tom and the staff are very knowledgeable and seem eager to help. My one complaint is the quality of part used for replacement. My Macbook Pro battery needed replacement in February, 2020. Everything went fine with the installation and turnaround--except that the battery began to degrade immediately after installation. Tom reset the SMC but that did nothing to stem the degradation. Tom said to give it time to see if the problem went away. It did not. Now, a few months later, my 'new' battery has about 58% of its original capacity after about 125 charge cycles. And Mac is giving me a "service battery" message as well. I've sent an email to Tom and have yet to even receive a reply. This is what's even more annoying than than the inferior battery. UPDATE: Now with only 155 recharge cycles, my battery capacity is down to 4842 mAh -- down from an initial 8700 (+ or -) mAh. Is anyone at Laptop MD listening? read more

Extremely disappointed with this place. Originally when I got my iPhone 7+ screen replaced, I noticed that my screen was not as bright and pigmented as before. I also noticed the sensitivity on my phone had decreased A LOT. I decided to suck it up after calling them and then telling me "we don't have the same screens that Apple provides". I wish i knew the quality of my phone was going to decrease- i would have just paid a little more and went to Apple or somewhere else for my replacement. THEN, randomly 30 days later, without dropping my phone, a small crack appeared in my screen after PLACING it on my table. The crack then spread across my whole phone. I went back into the store and they wouldn't replace my phone screen, but only offered me a slight discount after their horrible quality screen has decreased the quality of my whole phone and then cracked again without even dropping my phone. Horrible customer service, and even worse quality for my actual phone screen! Do not waste your money here. read more

I cracked my iphone 7+ screen and replaced the screen myself which took 4 hrs, but one of the microphones was broken in the process. These guys fixed my phone in 15 minutes and only charged me $50. If i took it to them when the phone broke, they would only have charged me $100 (almost my cost with the new screen I ordered). Next time I will just bring my broken phone (or computer) to them and let them fix it. Their prices are very reasonable and the people are extremely friendly and nice. This place saved me big time! My iphone 6 crapped out and would not turn on or reboot for any legit reason (plugged in overnight and got black screen of death). Phone was no longer under warranty, I had no insurance, and worst of all, it hadn't been backed up in almost a year.
