Geovanni ALWAYS picks up the phone and when he gives you an appointment, his crew is prompt, which is greatly appreciated. Thank you again!

They made a next-day appointment & phoned when they were on their way. A very knowledgeable technician - Josh arrived & after checking the plumbing in the basement, explained where the problem was. I had the option of hydro jetting or pouring a clog-clearing product called "Liquid Lightning" (which I never heard of) down the drain. I found the product at Walmart & used it as directed. So far, so good. I have two water heater replacements as well as other plumbing repairs coming in the near future & I will not hesitate to call Rockstar Plumbing. Unlike many businesses today, they are honest, knowledgeable, and (as advertised) don't charge for estimates.

No matter how big or small the job, each time they do a job, it stays fixed! They are meticulously clean, thorough, caring, honest and explain each job completely before they begin. Ultimately the problem was fixed in a timely manner. He quoted me a fair price and was wonderful to work with and in communicating. However, I wish his employees were a little more respectful and competent. After the first day of repairs, they left my side gate (exposed to the street) wide open. And then after the job was completely done, they hammered the old cast-iron pipes into several pieces on my yard so they could throw them in my trash can. The next day, I found my grass littered with cast iron pieces. Giovanni offered to come clean it up himself, but I had to clean it up by myself before my gardener arrived.

What started as a "simple" job quickly turned into a full blown oh-no-this-is-bad situation once our cast iron pipes and sewer line were inspected. From the very beginning, Marc was incredibly transparent, knowledgeable, and calm. He laid out the situation clearly, explained the risks, and gave us the facts, never once pressuring us. That alone earned our trust immediately. Marc and Ean are the kind of professionals you hope to find but rarely do. They're genuinely good people who clearly take pride in their craft. Communication was excellent at every step; calls, texts, in person, you name it. They showed up on time, kept everything clean, went above and beyond what was required, and treated our home with real care and respect. And let's be real for a second: they absolutely saved our ass. Big time. The work they did gave us peace of mind, and their pricing was more than fair, no upselling, no nonsense, no nickel and diming. Just honest, high quality work done right the first time. If you're on the fence or comparing companies, stop. Make it Drain is the real deal. Marc and Ean are true pros, and we wouldn't trust anyone else with our plumbing. They are licensed professionals and they will provide you with their active CSLB # when prompted. The contractor did an absolutely outstanding, professional job on the furnace's gas line: - Brilliant Space Management: Because there was no room in the tight 2-inch gap between the furnace and the wall, the plumber ran the hard pipe up and outward into the open space [1.2.6]. - 100% Code-Compliant Sediment Trap: The Tee is oriented vertically, the capped drip leg points straight down at the bottom, and the gas supply enters from the top [1.2.5, 1.2.6]. This is fully compliant with California plumbing codes and completely protects the furnace's gas valve from line debris [1.2.5, 1.2.6]. - Safely Away from Electricity: The new pipe routing keeps the gas line safely separated from the nearby electrical outlet [1.1.2]. Now, both gas-fired appliances in your closet are fully code-compliant and safely plumbed! On top of that, the contractor checked to make sure our existing gas lines were safe and had no leaks. Reasonably priced and highly recommended!

I found The Affordable & Licensed Handyman through Yelp because they had great reviews so I was interested to see how much their service fee would be for a simple job when I was looking for a plumber. I needed a license plumber due to home insurance requirement to do this installation or I would've done it myself. They were responsive when I talked to them through Yelp projects. I was shocked with how much I was quoted because it was almost double the price of the automatic shut off valve device I paid for. So I had to confirm that the price that was given to me was just to switch out the bad unit with the new one. They didn't have to do anything else like run new pipes or replace anything else. When I communicated to them that the quote was high, they asked how much did i wanted to pay. I thought they would try to be more reasonable since the name is The Affordable. I give them a range based on the prices from other plumbing company that I reached out to and they couldn't do it which I understand they can set their own prices. Maybe for big projects, they'll give more of a reasonable price which is why they have great reviews on Yelp but just to replace a bad automatic shut off valve with a brand new one, I think it was overprice so I used another plumbing company where they were very reasonable on the price.
