Love this chain and they did not disappoint. Another beautiful upscale ambiance just like their other LSC locations in another state. Food was delicious although, I was surprised to find that the Tony's chicken was much sweeter than expected. Service was excellent too! I was surprised that each location carries a slightly different menu. I was craving for Three Cup Basil Chicken from their Pinecrest, OH store and was hoping to get the same here but turns out they don't offer it in their menu. I think that would've been a huge hit.
Ok I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE spicy food so I was thrilled to try this place. The food in general here was good so I'd be willing to try more things here. My friend wanted chicken dumplings but we agreed we should've stuck to pork. I got the Hot & Spicy Pot combo with everything. It tasted delish! It definitely wasn't as spicy as I was hoping for but it did taste really good. I am not sure I would get everything again but nothing stood out as tasting bad so I would do it again. I might try the Lalala Spicy Dry Pot next time but I think the one I got has the numbing mala sauce and that's what I like. I didn't taste much of it so I might need to ask for extra next time. The Lao Mein was awesome and came in a huge portion. Originally we were going to order a chicken lao mein to go as the kiddo with us wanted vegetarian and the kiddo at home wanted chicken. I appreciated they were willing to work with us and just cooked us a side of chicken we could add to the meal when we packed it up. In town for work and decided to order DoorDash from here so my experience is soley based off the food received. I ordered 1/2 Peking duck, and it came with a soup (chicken soup based of some sort?). It also came picking hot. The duck was great and tender - can never really go wrong honestly. So good, especially with the wraps. I definitely would like to order from here again and try other dishes.
I saw this while driving by and THOUGHT it was the same as one in Chicago, IT IS!! I have eaten here twice in the last two weeks, bringing my sister and then a friend! Went for lunch both time and was pleased each time! The lunch menu pricing is good! You get a soup/salad, little app and entree for under $20! I had the crunchy lemon shrimp and I just don't know if I can even try anything else bc it's that good!!! They have a separate room that I think you could have a large group in? And a booth with pink flowers around it!!!
Wow the interior was captivating! I def felt underdressed ! Service was great. Our server was awesome and attentive. Food was delicious! The egg drop soup had corn in it and tasted a bit burnt. Not a fan. The diced fillet was good. Not too spicy. Dan Dan noodles was flavorful. Beef soup was good. Beef fried rice had a buttery taste and delicious. General tso was meh. Overall, would def come back and try other things!
Lao Sze Chuan has definitely added something special to the 901. Great food, great atmosphere, and a really nice ambiance overall. We visited about a month after their grand opening and they absolutely did not disappoint. The duck is a must-try. Crispy, flavorful, and easily one of the highlights of the meal. The fried rice was another standout for us -- simple but packed with flavor and done right. One thing I also liked was the setup of their private party rooms. They have two separate rooms that can either be combined for larger gatherings or kept separate for smaller events, which is a really nice touch. Overall, a solid addition to the Memphis food scene and definitely worth checking out if you're craving good Chinese food in a nicer dining atmosphere.
This place is simply incredible! The dining area is exquisite, just beautiful. The staff was so warm and welcoming as well but the show stopper is the food. I started with the steamed dumplings then had Mongolian beef as my entree. This is by far the best Chinese I've ever had and top 5 best meal overall in my life. Just a wonderful restaurant!
Excellent food & great service! I love the lunch bento boxes. Such a great variety of options and nice serving sizes. Everything we ordered was delicious and perfectly prepared. The crispy lemon shrimp is my favorite! It reminds me of honey walnut shrimp but much better. The lemon flavor isn't too much. It's just right! The restaraunt is nice and spacious with plenty of room for larger groups. They have a back room which could host 2 groups and an area in the main dining room.
I was really excited to try this new restaurant in the area and was sadly disappointed in the quality of the food. I wanted to try some basic options which always tells me the quality of the place. I placed a pick up order, the staff was friendly and walked me through their menu. And great interaction upon pick up. The space is beautifully decorated and it appears to be a great place to dine in for an experience. However for me the food was not that great. The orange chicken was tough to chew , the noodles did not have a lot of flavor a little bland for my taste and the fried rice was pretty good, the cook made it too spicy when I requested mild spice.

The establishment is beautiful and inviting and was not crowded so I was surprised it took my server 16 whole minutes to come over. While reviewing the menu there were things I wanted to try but was really unsure what was included. My server was unable to clearly explain to me a couple of dishes so I stuck with what I knew. Egg drop soup was good but sweet and that was different. Pork dumplings were good and the combo fried rice that included pork, beef, shrimp, veggies and lamb I think. I asked for spicy but it was very bland. I didn't taste any of the bold spicy flavors promoted for these dishes. I added chili oil for a hint of flavor but otherwise this place was just ok but definitely check them out!
I always keep my expectations low for restaurants with a lot of hype. This is a new one but I have been hearing a lot about it in a short time. So a friend and I decided to meet here for lunch. I was kinda expecting a crowd but it was pretty normal. I ordered the crispy shrimp w/ lemon sauce and he got orange chicken. We both were instantly impressed with the flavor. I almost wanted to order some of the lemon sauce to take home. The decor was also very nice. Not what you would expect in a small shopping center. I look forward to going back.
Beautiful interior! Great place for a date night, girls night, business event, and more. The food hold ups to the hype. It's not just a place that looks great but also tastes even better! Nick was my sever and he was phenomenal! The Mongolian beef tenderloin, pork & duck fried rice, and the boiled sole fish in spicy szechuan sauce were amazing. We also got the egg drop soup, hot & sour soup, and wonton soup. All great too! Was more true to what thy should be (not the super yellow thick-egged egg drop soup for an example). I think the prices are reasonable for the atmosphere, food, service, AND PORTIONS. It's a new go-to for sure!!
If you're looking for authentic Sichuan flavors, this is the spot! The food is incredibly flavorful- the perfect balance of heat and that signature numbing spice. We tried the Mapo Tofu, the Peking duck, and the twice cooked pork, and all three were standout dishes. The ambiance is modern yet cozy, making it a great place for a date or a group dinner. What really topped off the experience was the friendly and attentive staff; they were quick with recommendations and made sure our water glasses were never empty (which you'll need with the spice!). Highly recommend!"

The place is really nice, and we got seated right away. Our waitress was super friendly and patient, which made for a great start to the meal. The biggest surprise for me was the hot and sour soup. I've been looking for a good one in the Memphis area for a long time, and this one absolutely hit the spot. The balance of sourness and heat was just right, and the ingredients all worked really well together. I'd honestly come back just for the soup! The sliced beef was also really good. It was tender, not tough at all, and had just the right amount of spice. The only dish that wasn't my favorite was the dry chili chicken. It was a little too dry for my taste--I think they used chicken breast--and it wasn't as crispy as I was expecting. A couple of the other dishes also had a bit too much cornstarch, which made the coating heavier than I prefer. Overall, I really enjoyed the meal. The hot and sour soup alone is worth coming back for, and paired with the great service read more
Love the food! Service is a bit clunky. On my two visits, it was night and day different. One server delivered all kinds of various accoutrements, tools, sauces, etc. The first visit I got none of that. I didn't even get soy sauce on that visit. Food arrived in quick stages the first time, but all at once the second. Place is beautiful! Very well designed and maintained. Lots of details. I think it's a chain. If so, it's a good one! I came both times on a solo lunch date. I had to check it out after seeing another Yelpers review. Thank you for the great review and for turning me on to this place! The lemon shrimp caught my eye from her review. It is worth a stop just on its own. I am a sucker for lunch combo specials. This one is perfect for me honestly. For $15 you get soup, appetizer, and an entree. What a deal! I have had the Lemon Shrimp and the Orange Beef. Both were really good and would order them again for sure. Very great flavors in both, but that Orange Beef was fantastic. Big punches of orange with slightly crispy tender beef strips. Yum! Don't get me wrong, the shrimp is fantastic, but that OB, damn. I got Hot and Sour both times. Another night and day kind of difference. You can even see the difference in my pictures. Once, thick and flavorful, next watery and thin. I got the crab won ton both times as well. Lovely little fried pocket of good ness. I like the way it squishes in my mouth when I bite it, LOL. I will be back, you can count on that. Went again to this restaurant and had a few other dishes. The spicy cabbage, Salted egg yolk tofu, lemon shrimp, shredded chicken, Peking duck, and bbq spare ribs were delicious. Huge portions of food to feed 4 people. A party of 4 we were in a booth but next time we will request a round table with the lazy Susan table. Still pretty and clean in the restaurant. Mea was very helpful and efficient serving our food and making sure we were taken care of. The restaurant wasn't too busy and wasn't as noisy like the last time I went. Will be back again! read more

Service with Ria is always great! She is very helpful and attentive. Crab wontons and spring rolls was a perfect way to start off our date night. We ordered the duck Lao mein & crispy shrimp with lemon sauce to share and both were amazing!!! Everything was so good we ordered a duck fried rice togo for lunch tomorrow. Food, service, and ambiance 10/10 - let's not forget to mention the affordable prices. read more

The food was good. The decor is very upscale. And we had great service. My only complaint is how far the booth seat from the table is. I'm big and it was extremely difficult to get the food due to it being so far away. Never had this problem in my life. also the egg drop soup had corn in it. A bit odd. read more

Food was delicious they offer large servings. This also came with 2 Duck soups that were very delicious. Shrimp fried rice was not photographed. Food was fresh and very flavorful. Service was great sat at the bar and he was very helpful. The renovations look amazing I remember the old restaurant that was in this spot. Night and day renovations look great! The new owners did a great job and hired a great staff. read more

Ambiance is nice for a party, date or when you just want to feel fancy. Like that they offered tofu options. It's the soft tofu not the hard fried tofu I like, but flavor was nice. It's a nice little spot. read more

We were so impressed with this place for their food and service we went back a second time to experience some new dishes and this time was even better including their "Crispy Lemon Shrimps" which was really out of this world and highly recommended for anyone who want to try this new place in town. read more

The food was out of this world. The spice was definitely there and tasteful not just pain in your face. We had the roast duck which was prepared professionally with the right balance of sweet and savory and the xiao long bao (soup dumplings) was on par with the ones I've had in china. The only con I had is the service. Is a bit slow. read more

Had another amazing meal here. The service was amazing and the food, tried some new dishes. I was happy to see they were busy the ambience was amazing and the food spectacular. I have had better hot and sour soup but who cares I didn't come for the soup read more
