My son is 9 and never greeted me before, there was never a hi, how are you? Sierra had been working on it with him and my son randomly asked me how I was doing one day. This was HUGE! Since then she's really opened my son up to have conversations and he is improving so much! My son has went a different Speech Company in the past and we had a horrible experience, the staff was constantly changing, opinions of the SLPs were very different and the billing department was constantly making mistakes. We are SO GRATEFUL for Sierra.

There was a lot of guessing & figuring out what he was saying through process of elimination. Understandably, he would get upset and frustrated. We reached out for help and everyone at Proficio supported us through each step. We are so delighted to have been paired with Sierra. She knows how to engage with our son to get the most out of him, while keeping it light and fun, so he doesn't lose interest. She communicates effectively with us (the parents) on what she recognizes as an obstacle during that session and how to overcome it. I also get follow up emails and at-home activities for between our sessions. My son has made tremendous progress and is now able to speak in full sentences. We know there is more to do, but what a relief to have Sierra help us to where we are today. He always looks forward to seeing Sierra for play time. Also, the location is amazing, very welcoming and peaceful. The 1st floor of this location has some games that will occupy the little ones as you wait for your appointment. I also understand the reality of managing multiple therapies, medical appointments, school meetings, and life. Over time, repeated conversations about missed appointments, attendance reminders, and signing attendance acknowledgments left me feeling judged instead of supported. The final straw was accidentally leaving one week off a summer scheduling form, which led to another conversation about attendance. It wasn't about that one incident--it was the realization that this philosophy simply doesn't align with how I believe families of children with additional needs should be treated. The clinicians were wonderful, and the front desk staff were always professional and kind. My disappointment lies with leadership and the culture created by these policies. Families seeking pediatric therapy need partnership, empathy, and flexibility. Unfortunately, that wasn't our experience, and we chose to take our children elsewhere.

We finally got a good match and they "switched departments". Then they started saying I had to move my time due to scheduling conflicts even though we had waited 2 years to get the time slot we had. We got moved with a new SLP and I complained that they kept canceling and rescheduling. I can only assume they were double booking so instead of taking accountability for their poor planning, they decided to discontinue services simply because i advocated for my daughter. They dont seem to care about the children, they just want their paycheck

If you are looking for a place for an Alzheimer's, patient to have a long-term care, this is…read moreprobably a very good solution. If you're looking for short-term skilled nursing, I'm not so sure. I brought my mom in here to recover from major surgery. They screwed up the medications for the first 2 to 3 days until I came in and sorted it out myself. And if you're doing this, just be aware, that if the hospital transfers a patient, it can take them a minimum of 12 hours to get the medication to their facility, but no one will tell you this. So as a result, my mother who is suffering from extreme pain due to major surgery, had to wait almost 12 hours for medication because once I realized what was going on, I had two traipse to her house and procure some myself. And even once I thought we sorted it out, they still kept forgetting to give her some of the meds she was supposed to have for her eyes. It was eminently frustrating. They treat everyone like a dementia patient whether they have dementia or not. This is a material problem for people who do not have dementia. If someone is trying to recover from something, it means they will not get the attention, exercise, etc. that they need to actually recover. They'll be told to stay in bed and not move. Not helpful. They are shortstaffed on skilled nurses for the facility. There's basically one per shift and that is the only person who is allowed to do much of anything other than very basic stuff. Another material problem in my point of view The facility itself is very nice, clean, with a variety of separate spaces that are all well maintained. The food was high-quality. There are enough people around that you can feel like at least someone is always on duty and attending to the needs of the residence. Everyone who works there is delightful. To be fair, they listen to my concerns and tried to rectify and respond in a timely manner. If this is considered one of the best of the best, I'm alarmed for what that means for my own old age. It was OK. Like I said, if you're using it for long-term Alzheimer's support it's probably fine.
