I was in and out in an hour, only because they had to locate my tires, which were in a different area (whoever pulled them the day before, placed them up front instead of where they actually do the replacement). I had to take a brief work call, after I was done, they came over and said I was all done, checked out and went about my way. Several technicians checked on me to be sure I was being helped and check out was simple. "Oh you pre-paid, here's your keys, have a great day". It was even better watching one of the technicians be patient with an elderly woman ahead of me who was counting her change for her purchase (I've learned not to interrupt and ask if I can pay on their behalf, I got chewed out a couple of times and some elderly view it as an insult because they have the money to "pay their own way"!). So he gently waited while she counted out the 0.89 change as part of her purchase. It was precious to watch and knowing that these guys are supportive, friendly and patient. I'll come back every time for tire repair!

Quality of service was good, but store associate's should have some clue on how to work the computer to process the requested service.

My wife bought four brand new tires at Sears automotive in LaVale, Md. Because she was told that…read morethere were eight people ahead of her, she agreed to shop in the store while waiting. They waited until they were finished to inform her of the added charges. They took our money and sent her on her way. She did not make it to Cumberland before realizing one of the was showing 17 psi. They asked her how many pounds of air pressure she would like in her tire. After she called me and I told them it should be the manufacturers prescribed 32 psi they miraculously discovered that a previously working stem needed to be replaced. They also told her the best they could do is put a generic stem (not guaranteed) in. She would also be placed behind six other customers. Will we use Sears automotive in LaVale, Md again!?

I was driving to Virginia by way of Ohio and had a tire blowout in Maryland. I was travelling…read morealone and in a slight panic having not known where I was. Being as though I was still 2.5 hours from my destination, the closest auto shop I could find was Walmart, who didn't carry the size tire I needed (19"). They recommended I tried Sears, which was my second stop. Upon my arrival at Sears I was greeting by a gentleman named Rodney, who was, from the start, extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Upon investigation, he informed me that they didn't have the size tire I needed in stock either, and, given it was Memorial Day weekend, they wouldn't be able to get one in for a few days. Given my desperation, Rodney did everything he could to try and help track down a tire so that I wasn't stranded. He made a few calls and truly went above and beyond for me. If it weren't for Rodney I wouldn't have gotten to where I was going. He deserves the ultimate praise for his kind heart, diligence, and superior customer service skills. Sears landed a gem with him!

So this is going to be a long one but if you want to save yourself a headache and having to fight…read moreto get your money back you are going to want to read this... I went in on Monday June 8th, 2020 for new wheels for my Ford Raptor. I sent a picture of what I was looking for along with the picture of my tires already on my truck so they could get the same size wheels so that I could use my old tires. The guy at the front desk told me those were assault wheels and we could definitely get those done for you. We drove down to Frostburg, drop my truck off, go out to eat and within an hour and a half come back to pick it up. I take a look at it, it looks nice, go in and pay and we leave. Fast forward to an hour or so after I leave, while turning around sharp corners, my truck makes a God awful grinding noise. It's so loud people actually stare. I called down the same day, explain what it is doing and I'm told "It's no big deal. We can look at it when you come back for your tonneau cover." This was all on Monday. Tuesday I drive it to work, drive it home after and after having to slow down to almost stopping because of the noise and the way it feels I decide to get out and check it out because clearly this doesnt seem "normal." Not only is it making an awful noise, it literally bent my front metal fender and is starting to wear the paint off the other side. The outside tread of my tire is all chewed up from where the metal is rubbing. The back of the front tires are rubbing the wheel well and the garage I took it to Wednesday informed me if I dont get these wheels off of it it is going to rub a hole right through the wheel well. My tires are about half worn so you can imagine that if I got brand new tires they most definitely are not going to fit. I call them on Wednesday, explain everything that is going on and tell them that I want my wheels taken off and my old ones back on. There is literally NO WAY they didnt know it was rubbing when they pulled it out of the garage to move it. He tells me that he will call the company but they dont return wheels that were already mounted. Funny thing though is that I sent a picture of my exact wheel and tire that was previously on it so they would be the same size. I was asked if I wanted them to stick out and I said that was fine. Had they told me that it would ruin my front fender and tire from it rubbing i would've absolutely said hell no I just won't get them. Doesnt call me back at all on Wednesday so I waited until Thursday at 11:30am to call back. That gave him plenty of time to get in touch with that company to make things right. He tells me that they won't return them but we can put a leveling kit or a lift kit on my truck and that SHOULD fix the rubbing. SHOULD. He also told me that they will "work" with me on the price. I pay half and they pay half. Yeah that's working on it all right. I dont know about anyone else but I sure as hell dont want someone who ruined it in the first place to do anymore work to my vehicle. I declined that offer. I went in for WHEELS. I didnt go in for a lift kit or a leveling kit. And I wanted the exact same size wheels so there would be no issues yet here we are. I was told he would talk to the owner "John" and see what they could do for me. Didnt hear back from him AT ALL the rest of the day Thursday so I call back today, Friday, at 8am to find out what John has to say about the whole ordeal. Surprise surprise they wont do anything unless I pay them MORE money and put a leveling or lift kit on. I will have to swallow the $1,200 that I paid for them to do this. This next part didn't go so well and the front desk guy that clearly doesnt know anything about the profession he is in proceeds to tell me that normally people know when you change wheels they tend to rub. What? So you mean to tell me that everytime someone replaces your wheels it is going to ruin your tires, wheel wells and your front fenders? There was no disclaimer of this, no warning like hey, this is probably going to rub are you ok with that? No, nothing. They left me LEAVE AND DRIVE HOME LIKE THAT. Had he told me that in the beginning I would of said I absolutely dont want those. But lord knows they didnt want to miss out on a golden opportunity to make an easy $1,200. I then say that that isnt what you told me the other day when he said "It's no big deal." To which he lied and said that he never said that, he told me to come back down. He did in fact tell me to come back down for a leveling or a lift kit after he got done telling me "it's no big deal." I said that I wanted to speak with the owner and he informed me that he is busy and he could have him call me back after his phone call. He hung up on me too. It's now past 1pm and I still havent heard anything back from anyone. We are going to court over this whole ordeal. Buyer beware.
