Called them first thing Monday morning and they immediately informed me they wouldn't be able to look at it until the following Monday; when I mentioned that it might be a transmission issue, they said they only had one transmission tech, and he wouldn't be able to look at it for three weeks. NOT HAPPENING! So that's how I ended up at Jim's Transmission. To be honest, Jim's looks a little shady wedged in an alley between the two directions of Industrial Boulevard, but the guys working there were nothing but professional. Chances are, when you call you'll have to leave a message because they don't have a dedicated service writer or anyone to answer the phone, but they got back to me within an hour or so. Calling on Monday morning, they were able to have me in on Wednesday morning. By Wednesday afternoon they called me with a diagnosis and a quote, and by early Thursday they had it fixed, for exactly what they quoted. I've been going to dealerships for my service for the past several years and I honestly forgot that this level of no-nonsense mechanic existed. I'm thankful for the work they did and how quickly and affordably they were able to get me back on the road. If you're looking for a mechanic in Cumberland (especially for transmission issues) don't write off Jim's before you talk to them.
