On Friday, 19th June 2020, I went it to have my shoes stretched by a size oe and he was extremely…read morerude and condescending. I asked him how much to stretch the shoe and to which he said 10$ to which i asked that if I should try the shoe on so that he knows how much further to stretch to which he rudely said no I must just leave the shoe and check after 1 week. Yesterday (30 June) I went in to collect my shoe only to find that he widened the shoe instead of expanding it, which I never at any point asked for. I was in utter shock with his behavior towards me when I pointed out that I needed it expanded. he give me the options and I clearly told him I wanted the shoe expanded by a size. Payment He then went on to say that I have to pay and that I must only cash and then when I queried him on the card machine below by which time another customer had entered the shop just behind me he suddenly changed his tune and says I can pay by card which I found very weird. I was pretty much forced to pay for something i didnt ask for. He then went on to say that he explained to me about his 2 different charges for stretching it wide or long which he CLEARLY did not because he was in a hurry to get rid of me that day when I went to drop of the shoe. He also went on to say that he's been running the shoe business for 25 years and how honest he is and he would never do such a thing. I am not surprised after reading the below mentioned experiences of other customers. This person has no regard for customer service and is very condescending and so rude that it shocks me as to how he's still in business. I would stay very clear of this place and would not recommend it to anyone. I'm sure there's many other reliable places that this. The person looks vert shady, dishonest and can not be trusted one bit and it is now very evident how he makes his living by ripping people off.

They were in rough shape( my own fault, should have brought them in sooner) Hugo was extremely excited when he saw my Italian made, dark brown , leather shoes. The heels were very worn out and beginning to almost crumble . The outer leather was beginning to separate from the sole on one shoe. Hugo said he would order in a leather patch for this part of the project. I brought the shoes in on June 19,2023 - they were ready yesterday, June 29. Total cost with tax $68.25. The shoes have been fully restored to their original condition. Hugo can seem a little rough in his manner ( he's not 21 years old!) but he sure appreciates the chance to work on quality shoes . The shop is in an older building ,looks like a typical shoe repair shop , with the smells of leather and shoe polish greeting you as you enter. Pictures of Columbia adorn the walls.
