Patio and entrance for room 4

We stayed three nights in room 4 during mid-August and really enjoyed our stay. It was nice to have the living room / kitchen area separate from the bedroom. We loved all the hooks for clothes (both in the bedroom & by the front door); most places never have enough. The entire room was quite clean. We enjoyed the short stroll into town for dinner after exploring the island during the day.

We fell in love with the Langley Motel, a quaint mid-century modern style inn with great amenities like kitchenette and living space, and a peekaboo view of the sound. Great water pressure in the shower, too. They also had a pleasant patio for us to enjoy the natural surroundings. We had to make an emergency trip to Langley and Nicole was so helpful in accommodating our needs. We will never forget your kindness, Nicole. Highly recommend the Langley Motel.

I stayed at the motel in September, after Labor Day with my husband. It definitely had a "campy feel," but everything was clean. Every room was occupied over the weekend, but I did not hear our "neighbors." There is a little patio out front of each room, outfitted with a little table and chairs and felt darling surrounded by mature plants. The view out the back windows is east, out to the water, and we experienced a beautiful sunrise. The bed and pillows was both very clean and comfortable. We did not cook in the kitchen, but it had all of the basic amenities to make quick meals (including a microwave). Our internet connection worked well our entire stay. The little town of Langley is a short (5-7 minute walk) from the motel, so we enjoyed coffee, dinner, and wine tasting without having to drive. My only complaint is the tiny shower stall, which is short and small, and was an especially tight fit for my hubby (~6'2" tall), and the love seat, though also clean, lacked any cushion. However, for the price and location I can overlook these inadequacies and would stay there again!

However, at that price I need to be blown away. The food was good when we went recently, but absolutely nothing gave me an "OMG" moment. Most disappointing, though, was the wine flight (additional $80). Wines were fine but not exceptional. One pour came with a healthy portion of sediment. I asked the sommelier if it was an unfiltered wine to which she answered yes. However, the scrutiny we gave this wine resulted in a different server bringing a new pour from a newly opened bottle. This had much better clarity and improved flavor. Thank you, but shame on the sommelier. Good enough experience at an exceptional price results in value too low for my dining dollar.

Shout out to front desk staff, Kim, for being helpful and friendly! The dinner at the Inn was fantastic as well! It started with complimentary sparkling wine/brut. Every dish was thoughtfully arranged and delicious. My favorite was the Dungeness crab dish. Kudos to the chef for single-handedly providing delicious meal for us! We will be back!

We were here in the winter time so the gardens were dead but you could tell come springtime and summer it would be an amazing place to spend some time outdoors. The room was super nice and the cottage hosts were very friendly and nice to deal with. The only thing I would caution you on is to not barge into the area where it says Entrance. That lead you into a porch like area with a second door that leads inside to what might be the hosts residence. When we went to open the second door we were met with strong verbal cues to stop and sign the guest book. It was as if they didn't want us to enter any further. Come to find out this may have been there personal residence. The breakfast was amazing too. We had the raspberry clafouti and was super delicious. It's not something we would have ordered on our own but when we tasted it we couldn't get enough. The rooms came with almost everything you would need to include a corkscrew a couple of wine glasses a refrigerator microwave coffee etc. I would highly recommend this place. We will definitely be back

The room we were in was spacious and had plenty of storage and open area. The custom bed frames and headboards really added to the spacious room feel. The common kitchen area is well set up, and the common reading/living room is inviting. We had a view that looked across to Clinton and south Everett.
