I will admit I was a bit hesitant on using someone I found on social media for any types of services, from previous experience, but Sam went above and beyond my expectations!!! Real nice and down to earth guy! I have no idea what the previous reviewers experienced, our experience working with Sam via communication,responsiveness and overall has been wonderful! Having such a huge yard we dealt with a ton of stress and had 0 clue on where to start or what we even wanted, we made some mistakes in the beginning with our yard, Sam literally came in and saved the day with his vision!!! He not only gave us like a ton of suggestions, but transformed our yard into something we would not have imagined! Gary listened to my ideas for the brick patio and during the project he was very responsive to my questions and input. He was on site on a regular basis and anytime I needed him to come out. Randy did a fabulous job prepping the area, installing all the bricks, plants, drip and fountain. There was a problem area in another part of the yard that they landscaped as well. This was a large job and a ton of labor. The team was onsite as promised, on time and worked all day. Gary scheduled our daily start and end times appropriately. This helped with some of my neighbors who like to complain but that did not happen. Gary is a good project manager, is very talented, has a ton of experience and has a good team. Plus, he is a really personable and a nice person. We are very happy with our new courtyard and use it all the time. Than you Gary!

I agreed to use the Ipe wood as it was told to me this is the finest wood and will last a really long time. Now five years later, the posts are rotted, and the whole fence is leaning. I've had to have someone redo my whole layered fence. I wrote to Gary twice, no response! I think a good businessman would come out and repair this. Gary put in 4 posts; new guy put in 7. Clearly there was a little problem with Gary's judgment on what was needed. AND he wanted payment in full before job was done! Not a happy customer here!

Dave from Cascading Falls met with me and went over our options. He even took the time to visit the model home in our community to see what we wanted for our yard. His estimate came quickly and work started soon after. His workers were absolutely respectful of our time constraints and worked around our schedule. The work on the concrete is amazing. The plants and foliage we chose were specific to our desires and Dave came through! The final step was setting up our irrigation which was done in the bitter cold. Our initial impressions of David, the owner, were positive as he seemed trustworthy and…read moreknowledgeable. Wow, were we duped. From start to finish the backyard project took over a year to finish. Our backyard project was not big. This was an extremely stressful process as we had to check up on the work throughout; at points we went months without any work being done and David always had an excuse. Admittedly, we didn't have all the final decisions made prior to the start and things were fluid at times but there was always work that could have been done which didn't happen unless we pushed. With the amount we paid we thought the owner would have been more helpful with design but were left to do research and find/look at materials ourselves. We had to withhold payments because work wasn't being done despite being pestered and payments demanded from the owner. Numerous times we had to have conversations regarding progressive payments being demanded by the owner despite lack of work being performed. The only thing that motivated the owner to get back to work was us withholding payment. The owner clearly had too many projects and not enough workers resulting in the customer suffering which we heard from one of the workers was an issue with his other jobs too. We had a large landscaping company come out while we had one of the long breaks in work and pointed out many issues and stated they would've completed the job in 3 weeks. It was exhausting and stressful to have to inspect every aspect of the job and find subpar work being performed/corners being cut. An issue we still have is drainage, which we questioned the owner about prior to finishing the project but were assured it wouldn't be an issue. We trusted him but again learned the hard way not to. We are going to have to hire another company to fix the lake that arrives in the middle of our backyard when a large rain occurs. Our project was expensive and his bid was on the high side compared with others so needless to say we expected much better.

LR Landscaping installed pavers around our pool in 2020. Last winter, one of the pavers sunk a…read morecouple inches. They came promptly to repair it and discovered an old irrigation pipe was not properly capped (work done by a different team who dug the trench). The team spent a few hours--at no charge--repairing. They turned off the water source, preventing any future problems, and re-laid the pavers once the repair was complete. It looks as good as new! We couldn't be happier with the response and quality from LR Landscaping & Pavers. Highly recommend them.

I called Lee to give us an estimate for a retaining wall that we are planning on having built. He…read morehappened to be in our area when I called, and was able to set a time just a few hours from when I called to come and have a look. He arrived right on time. He spent a long time discussing our project with us, and what he and his team could do. It was obvious he had a great deal of experience building retaining walls, and knew what had to be done, and how to do it. We happened to mention we needed to repair or replace our flagstone pathway. He doesn't do flagstone itself, but he did suggest a paver that looks just like random flagstones, but has several advantages compared to the real thing. At no time did we ever feel under any pressure to "choose him". He was simply professional, honest, and open with what he could do, and how it would be done. He sent us a detailed bid, breaking out the retaining wall and flagstone-like paver work separately, so we could do one, or both. His price for the retaining wall was in line with other estimates we'd gotten (and the paver pathway seemed reasonable, but we had no comparisons for that). In the end, we decided to go with a different contractor, who could do all the landscaping we are planning on. (Lee's company focuses on hardscapes only.) But if in the future we have a hardscape-only project, Lee will probably be our first call.
