We first became aware of The Narrow Lane through a cold call when we were looking for a landscaper…read morefor our front yard back in the fall of 2024. We contacted a number of companies and it was The Narrow Lane and Jeremy that we seemed to connect with. A couple of months later, right after Thanksgiving, we were the proud owners of a beautifully landscaped yard. I will admit that I was dubious about putting in all those mature plantings at that time of the year but Jeremy assured us that they would be fine and he was right--we had an amazing Spring of blooms and the excitement of experiencing new plants appearing in the yard. The quality of work and attention to detail caused us to go back to The Narrow Lane again last Spring to do a total renovation and redesign of our back yard. While we were impressed by the quality of work and attentiveness to detail that we experienced with the first project we were absolutely blown away with what Jeremy, Matt, and The Narrow Lane were able to deliver for the backyard. It is truly a work of art and we are so happy that not only did we re-engage with The Narrow Lane for this project but that we gave them complete control over the design and implementation. Neighbors now stop by to explore the yard and we are known in the area as "that house with the amazing landscaping". Based on these landscaping experiences over the past year we have now also contracted with The Narrow Lane to maintain the gardens and yard during the growing season as well as to provide us with snowplowing and shoveling in the winter. I will admit that they are not inexpensive to work with but the prices are totally justified by the quality of work, the care and attention that they have brought to everything that they do, and their continuing care that they bring to our property. We have found everyone from the company that we have engaged with to be consummate professionals that bring a new level of care and respect to the properties they take on as projects. If you are looking for an exciting and complete re-imagination of your property and then professionals to maintain it throughout the year you can't do better than The Narrow Lane.

I would not do business with this company again…read more We hired one of their landscape designers to create a redesign for our front yard and paid a substantial fee for the design. Our contract specifically stated that we were not required to hire the company to perform the installation work and that the designer would revise the design based on our feedback. The designer visited the property, evaluated the site, and later scheduled a Zoom meeting to present the design. During the meeting, the company owner joined the call. After the designer finished presenting the plan, I started to provide my first piece of feedback but the owner cut me off before I could finish and stated that the design phase was complete and that I would need to hire the company to perform the installation if I wanted any changes made. The interaction was unexpected and inconsistent with my understanding of the contract. The designer appeared uncomfortable, and I found the owner's tone rude, unfriendly, and intimidating. What should have been a collaborative discussion about minor revisions became an unpleasant experience.

TLDR summary: Good price, good communication, good job done. Would use again and would recommend…read more Details: I phoned or used the web contact page for 12 different local landscaping companies. Only a few got back to me and came to review the job. Of the few that made the cut and provided pricing, I selected Stefano's after seeing multiple recommendations for them in our local town's FB group. I dealt with Nick Amoroso. He was quick, efficient, answered all my questions and provided a reasonable quote when he said he would at the price we discussed. He also was around the building site on multiple days to discuss the project progress and review the work. When the work was done, he did a final review with me. Nick dropped off multiple samples of pavers so my wife could choose the color. He then picked them back up several days later. The morning of the job, the guys arrived early, introduced themselves and started work. They were efficient, polite and made minimal mess and cleaned up after themselves at the end of each day. In order to install the patio and walkway, they used a bobcat and a jackhamer to remove the old patio which had a 8 inch concrete slab under it. They also had to rip up irrigation systems and disassemble fences and underground downpipe water dispersal systems. They did all that and replaced the missing sections with new parts as they laid the new pavers. They did an excellent job. They even added new mulch to the garden beds next to the new patio and reseeded the areas on the edge of the walkway. I would use them again.

Jesse Shrewsbury came up with a very nice plan for my project and made great suggestions as we went along. I was very pleased that I got to personally select the shrubs along with Jesse at the nursery. Additonally, I'm sure they would have made the right selections for me if I didn't want that level of participation. Jesse was on-sight everyday and communicated with the team throughout the day to make sure no detail went unchecked. The team was truly a pleasure to work with. Everything was as promised, done in the timeframe that was stated, and surpassed my expectations.

The guys showed up bright and early, really cared about curb appeal, and gave great advice on how to achieve it. They didn't just DO the job, they were thoughtful about it ("If it were my house, I'd probably remove that shrub and that one, too). Not to mention, they did all the work while our puppy had his nose in their business at the same time. By the end of a long day, we couldn't believe we hadn't done it all sooner. They rocked it.

Based on…read more[https://www.datanyze.com/companies/d-muzzioli-associates/557903366] Their annual revenue is $6 millions likely by having many hundreds of commercial and residential accounts around Boston metro.and they do not care about customer satisfaction at all. If you have a contract with them, say for snow removal, they send workers to clean a light snow that had already melted due to rising temperature. More outrageous is when you have to shovel substantial snow from your driveway to leave for work and they show up after you have cleaned up the snow, and they go back without having to do anything, but still charge you for the work YOU did. What a RIP OFF!!! Furthermore, their rates are 148% higher than other similar companies. If you check their profile online (https://www.bbb.org/us/ma/belmont/profile/water-main-contractors/d-muzzioli-associates-0021-79090) you will see that "D. Muzzioli Associates is NOT a BBB Accredited Business." I would give them a negative star if it were available.

Lorenzo has all the big equipment to do a job like this. I was impressed with his big new bucket truck and his tree grinder. Put down some plywood, cleaned up after themselves, and also pruned and shaped some smaller trees in my front yard. They were very careful where the branches would come to rest after they were cut and very skilled in the exact place they lowered the branches onto the ground.
