Four Consecutive Service Failures -- I've Lost All Confidence in Culligan…read more We've been Culligan of St. Louis customers since 2019, and I deeply regret purchasing their reverse osmosis (RO) system. Over the past three years, we've had FOUR CONSECUTIVE service appointments that left our system malfunctioning or in worse condition than before the technician arrived. Four visits. Four failures. This is no longer an isolated incident. It's a pattern. Here's our experience: * Two years ago: Routine RO maintenance resulted in a clogged membrane, requiring another service appointment. * Last year: The technician left valves closed and told us to "give it time." The system wasn't functioning properly, and I had to troubleshoot the problem myself. * Earlier this year: Our RO system stopped working. The technician arrived without the necessary parts, requiring additional visits. During the repairs, debris clogged our kitchen faucet aerator, reducing our water pressure by approximately 90%. We ultimately needed a plumber to restore normal water flow. We went 15 days without RO water and seven days with severely reduced kitchen water pressure. Culligan eventually repaired the system and agreed to reimburse the plumbing expense. * October 14, 2026: During our latest annual maintenance appointment, Culligan serviced our filters and left the RO system nonfunctional AGAIN. The filters were dislodged and are now hanging crooked. Once again, we're facing another service call to correct problems that didn't exist before their visit. That's four consecutive bad service experiences. Every time Culligan comes to perform maintenance, we end up needing additional service to correct something that went wrong. We pay an annual maintenance fee because we expect trained professionals to maintain our equipment properly. Instead, we're repeatedly inconvenienced, left without functioning equipment, and forced to spend our own time troubleshooting problems. What makes this especially frustrating is that we've already experienced prolonged outages, plumbing problems, multiple return visits, and unanswered communications to Culligan corporate. During the previous incident, four emails to corporate went unanswered, and a phone call routed to voicemail was never returned. I don't expect perfection. Occasionally, equipment breaks and mistakes happen. But four consecutive service failures over three years is unacceptable. At this point, I have completely lost confidence in Culligan of St. Louis. I regret investing in their RO system and cannot recommend their service. My advice to prospective customers: Consider not only the cost of the equipment, but also the quality and reliability of the service you'll depend on for years afterward.
