The exorbitant PARKING SCAM has actually gotten worse...reading other reviews from fall 2019, people were complaining about a 10 minute "free" parking window if you get your ticket validated by one of the establishments inside. Well guess what, as of this writing it's been cut to FIVE fricking minutes!!! Yep, $5 for less than 10 minutes it took me to park, wait in line at REI, pick up my online order, go back to my car and leave. These people have zero shame. I hope the pandemic economy puts these scumbags out of business ASAP. Next time I come to pick up an order from REI, I will simply park in the "Lyft drop off / pickup" area in front. I just paid $5 to park for 15 minutes to pickup an online order from REI at the landmark center. They used to validate for all retailers for an hour free. NO MORE FREE PARKING FOR SHOPPING = I WILL NOT SHOP HERE. On top of that they have employees standing by the ticket machine to push the button for you to grab the parking ticket. With no line in the middle of a weekday. Why pay someone to push a button? How about don't charge me for 30 minutes of parking while I'm shopping/supporting a retail store that pays your rent! I suspect this is all to pay for the upgraded glorified millennial food court that is "TIME OUT BOSTON". This is literally the problem with the "new" Boston in a nut shell. read more

To support few people's opinion about the parking at Landmark I will say: "Never again!" I was going to Best Buy and as I was entering the parking lot I saw that there is a fee for parking. So, I decided not to park there. As I was about to leave the entry way a helpful employee informed me that if I get my ticket validated I can park for free. I though "Great!" and parked right in front of the store. One thing the guy didn't mention was that the "free" parking is good only for 10 min... and as I was exiting the parking lot I was asked to pay $5... It's about time developers worked with old spaces instead of just ripping them down to build more soulless cubes. The Landmark Center was once a Sears, Roebuck warehouse that sat empty for years. Now this 1930s-era tower houses some box stores (without the box), a movie theater multiplex, a few chain restaurants, and some offices. It's near the Fenway stop on the T and within walking distance of St. Mary's and Kenmore Square. There's also plenty of parking if you insist on driving or if you can't wait for delivery on the washer, dryer, and 52-inch plasma TV you just bought at Best Buy. Next time driving by, PASS! I stopped by the BB&B to spend the 20% coupon on a new tea kettle for my grandma. After a quick checkout I was waiting for 3 minutes as the parking attendant was helping a car in front of me with their dumb ticketing system. By the time I got to the gate I had overstayed the 10 minute grace period and owed $5. Parking attendant refused to waive the fee due to no fault of my own and suggested I file a complaint. GOOD JOB! In the past I would walk and check out other vendors like Staples or REI but now, FORGET IT. Landmark Center seems to hate their own tenants and content on catering to only the foreign yuppie foot-traffic from across the road. read more

I stopped here to swap my Sodastream cartridge at Bed, Bath & Beyond for the last time today. Why? BECAUSE OF THE NEW PARKING RATES! It's now $5 WITH validation and the free window has been shortened to ten minutes. The exit gate is now automated and credit card only. Given how long it takes for each person to do a transaction, it's unlikely that I'll be able to run into BB&B, do the swap, and make it to the front of the lines of cars to pay in ten minutes. No more browsing for gifts at REI, either, since it's not worth $5 for the "privilege" of browsing. :) I just realized this too. It's $15 to swap a cartridge, and $12 with the 20% off coupon, so $17 if I have to pay for parking. I can go to other places and pay the $15 and still have cost less than this BB&B. Ha ha! This is a pretty cool mini-mall in an awesome looking building. The good is that there's a Best Buy and a Bed, Bath and Beyond. They also have an REI, and a couple of restaurants, a Starbucks across the street. there seemed to plenty of parking, and it's right near a T stop, which rocks. The BBB is HUGE--a ridiculous amount of consumer stuff to choose from. I got lost from the selection of sheets alone. And the sales people in both stores were very helpful and friendly. And, BBB took an expired coupon! Cool! There's a somewhat odd food court place on the 2nd floor, Fresh City. It was okay, somewhat overpriced. Props to them for having Harney & Sons tea, but negative stars for the music: really bad 80's songs: REI Speedwagon, yikes. However, it's a decent place to grab something to eat before or after you pick up your spankin' new garbage can from Bed Bath & Beyond. The only downsides to the center is that they need way more stores. It's empty and depressing inside, with an-almost ghetto mall feel. So they could use a good food court, maybe a bookstore, I don't know, cool boutiques, whatever. read more

For those that don't know, this place has rebranded and now like to be called 401 Park (it's on 401 Park Drive...pretty clever eh? That's sarcastic in case it's not evident ). Anyway, the parking isn't any better, worse actually since the spots out front were removed BUT, they were removed to make way for some ok stuff - an ice rink in the winter and grassy area when warmer, a Trillium brewery, weird statues, etc. it was also completely renovated inside to include the Time Out Market, and other stuff. It is now pretty trendy with events going on all the time - things like live music, food tastings, yoga on the grass, a DJ, Red Sox games on a big screen, movie screenings, professional figure skaters on the rink, etc. personally, I'm old so am over it but for those who are younger and that aren't over it, it can be a fun place that I recommend. Nice place to get a drink, sit outside, talk, people watch, whatever. I would thoroughly have enjoyed it when I was younger but now just want everyone to shut up and stop being so hip. Give me a Schlitz and a Members Only jacket and I'm good! Normal people will have a good time. read more

We parked her to go to the Red Sox (evening) game on 9/13/11. Pluses: Very convenient location - just a short walk to Fenway Park, with a variety of interesting food choices in the Landmark Center (Panera, Fresh City, Ufoods) and along Brookline Ave. Facility seemed clean and well-lit. Reasonable price and ability to pay/reserve ahead of time. Negatives: Confusing entrance/exit and layout of garage, lots of pillars, poor signage about where to find the restaurants, restrooms, exits, etc. Exiting after the game took longer than it should have, due to poor layout, steep slope up from level 1, poor traffic management. Also no signage as you exit onto Park Drive and are faced with three possible directions to go. Like much of Boston, you need to already know how to get around before you get there. read more

Highway Robbery!! Watch out. Thought I catch a movie and a bite at the now called 401 Park Dr. Had a nice time to catch up friend at Time Out Food Hall and then, hey, why don't we catch a movie? Specific to LAZ Parking: I visited here to do a brief pick up of supplies at Blick for my students. Unfortunately, the pay cashier was a line. I learned upon getting to my turn that it was because the cashier was on her phone talking on a social call. She closed the door when I asked for my total. I had to wait yelling "excuse me" and hold my hand out with change. It took several minutes. She remained on her phone and said "You are paying in cash? You are not using a credit card?" It's really ridiculous to be charged more because a staff member is socializing on their phone and can't do their job. read more

Absolutely not worth going to due to the cost of parking. Went to REI and bought a $50 climbing harness, after which they validated my parking. I thought: "great! I can leave the car while I grab some more things." Well, little did I know when I pulled out I'd get hit with a $24 parking cost. It was supposed to be $28 but they said the validation reduced the cost by $4. I went to your property, spent money, and my parking cost ends up being 50% of the cost of my item. What a load of crap $45 to park. The spaces make no sense, two lines that would make three spots, but you can only fit two cars in a spot. The parking attendeds are useless all we want to do us leave... three lines and only one is open. Two attends tell us we can't leave, and the one open is being blocked by the only guy working and he is filling out paperwork of sorts. Just terrible! read more

We went here on Saturday night for a midnight movie. The movie, theater, and popcorn were all fine and I'll write about those in the actual theater yelp page. This review however is about the parking lot. Worst design ever! The place is a maze, you'll drive around in circles trying to figure out how to get in out and on different floors. Seriously put better signage in there! We didn't know we had to get the movie ticket stamped by the movie theater and there is a huge difference in price. It's only $4 to park there if you see a movie or $15 if it's not validated. When we went to leave the parking lot the parking attendant wouldn't let us just pay $4. We told him we didn't know about the validation and the movie theater never offered it to us. So we had to drive back into the maze of a parking lot to get to the theater door, well guess what it's 2 AM and the place is closed so we couldn't get back inside to get our parking lot ticket stamped. We went back to the parking attendant and he said no we had to pay the full price. We explained to him we would get it validated if we could, but the place was closed. We had the movie ticket stubs to prove we were at the movie. It wasn't our fault! Seriously what else would we be doing at that area at 2am? There was no Red Sox game and the rest of the stores were closed. Finally after a yelling match he let us through after scolding us. He seriously was the most patronizing jerk face parking attendant I have ever dealt with. He's seriously compensating for something, with his big unnecessary ego. There isn't a point anymore. At this point in time, there are ONLY 4 retailers making this busy spot somewhat worthwhile: REI, Staples, Bed, Bath & Beyond, & Blick Art Materials. That's IT! Best Buy? GONE. Longhorn Steakhouse? GONE. Quizno's Subs? Cold Stone? Both GONE. I bet this place will go the way of the dinosaur at some point. It's quite pointless for me to ever shop here (as I have all of the stores in my direct area, all with free and large parking lots. Plus, I had a terrible experience parking here, just the same as many of the other reviews. I came to go Bed, Bath & Beyond & Blick Art Materials. I didn't even up going to Blick. Just BB&B. I called prior and the store said if you shop at BB&B, parking is free. First, I went to the parking garage. There was NO space whatsoever, and more than half of the parking spaces weren't used due to large poles being right in front of them (this garage could be re-lined to have SO many more spots!). Next, I went to the actual parking lot, after searching and searching in the garage, and found a spot. Exiting the store, I assumed since I had a receipt from BB&B, that it would validate that I shopped there. Exiting the plaza IS a nightmare. First, there are lots and lots of people trying to exit from both the parking garage and the lots. There is only one exit to Park Drive and one to another street in the back. The back (parking garage) is much easier to get in and out of, yet is much harder to find a parking spot. The front is much easier to find a spot in, yet getting in and out is SO much more timely and difficult. After waiting 15 minutes to get to the ticket booth, they said Bed Bath & Beyond had to stamp the ticket in order for parking to be free. I showed them my receipt and they said they couldn't do anything about it. I told them that there shouldn't be an issue with this as a payment method as I called BB&B and was TOLD parking would be free. They said they'd take down the license plate number and the top of my receipt and see if it would work. Still an annoying waste of time and something that is so stupid, that could have been easily avoided if I went to my local BB&B store. Plus, parking SHOULD be free! read more

There's a Best Buy, REI, Staples, Bed Bath & Beyond, Blick Art Store, Coldstone, Quiznos, Fresh City, Longhorn Steak House, and AMC Fenway 13 Theaters. I went in to park for a baseball game Friday night at 5:30pm. The guy was only taking cash (red flag #1) and handed me a card. I told them I needed a receipt as it was for business. The guy handed me a blank sheet with Date, Amount, Location, and Signature written on it (red flag #2). On my way out I specifically asked how long I had to park there. I was told 24 hours. When I returned 22 hours the lady said I owed an extra $15!!! She said I was allowed to stay for 24 hours, when I explained I had been there for less than 24 hours she said that my card said I had arrived on March 4th, 2010. You are absolutely right crazy lady! I arrived here 2 years in the future!?!?!?! Seriously? In that case, shouldn't you be paying me? All in all completely ridiculous scam out of $35! I will never be going back to the Landmark Center and I highly suggest you avoid it as well. I came here for an event and this space just didn't do it for me. It's a big open space, but there is no pizzazz, nothing that makes this place stand out. I just felt like it lacked charm. There were no windows. One big meh for the Landmark's event space. read more

Was here on Sunday 9/17/17--the parking situation seems as bad as ever. To note, only retail stores/tenants will validate for parking, met my friend at Panera and they told us they would not validate only retail such as Staples. Luckily my friend had stopped and bought an item at Staples on her way to meet me. We back tracked but still the price to park for one and half hours was steep. The parking garage is quite confusing with special areas/elevators for the different stores. The main building was locked so I could not use the Bank of America ATM. There is a faux wall of green bushes directing everyone to a pedestrian walkway around where Longhorn used to be and I guess where Wegman's is going in/or was supposed to go into that space. It just seems very disconnected. There are offices in the old Sears building which is art deco and yes nice it's being updated/reused and not torn down, and I guess those office tenants will support the retail during the week but I can't understand how people will be willing to pay to shop here/park here otherwise. read more

Absolutely HORRIBLE, unbelievably bad customer service with their parking attendants. Some are bad, tonight was borderline crimminal. The parking attendant kept insisting that I had gone to the Red Sox game even though I showed him my purchase from REI. Wanted to charge me almost twice as much to park because of where he said I went. Not sure if that is even legal?? Further, he swore at me and refused to give his name. Demanded that I ROLL DOWN THE REAR WINDOWS OF MY CAR in order to do some kind of bizarre inspection, and wouldn't let me exit the parking lot until I did so. He only backed down when I threatened to call the police. I feel violated; I am beyond outraged and am going to be taking this up with REI as well as Landmark management. If this this is how retail customers are treated nowadays I am going to be using Amazon, Backcountry.com, etc more and more. These price gougers are going to drive retailers out of business. Best Buy folded up shop last year, and as far as I can tell no one has come in to replace them. I gave them $28 to park and that wasn't enough. If you're going to charge people more money on game night you need to be clear about that up front, and everyone needs to pay the same amount. Who thought it was a good business practice to tell the employees to harass customers on their way out and interrogate them about where they went? I really hope this was a rogue employee, but I doubt it. By FAR the worst customer experience of my life. read more

This handy little mall has been a life saver for me and my friends. Whenever I'm feeling a bit of a shopping mood, I can easily head over to Landmark and fulfill those shopping needs. It's also a great example of using an old building in a practical way. It gets crazy busy when all the college kids move in, but is a very useful addition to the Fenway area. read more

There really isn't anything wrong with what is currently at the landmark center I just wish there were a few other stores. The REI and Best Buy are well stocked and the movie theater is good (Not sure how the prices compare to other theaters). I live right across the street so it is really nice. My experience shopping at the Best Buy at the Landmark Center was very unpleasant. I found the staff uninformed and indifferent, though I was making a major purchase. The personnel engaged in deceptive tactics providing me with a "comparable" product, when the item I wanted was not in stock. The item they tendered was in fact significantly inferior to the item I had selected and they refused to allow me to inspect the item in store. This caused delays and inconvenience when I was forced to return the item. Best Buy then proceeded to charge my credit card with restocking fees. Ultimately I had to file a consumer complaint with the Attorney General's office and threaten legal action. My advise: dont shop at that Best Buy. read more

Exercise extreme caution in this garage. It's not just the parking challenges, but the crime. Last summer I came to watch a film and returned to find my car window smashed and my computer bag gone. The bag was recovered (fortunately I left my computer at work that day). The security guys confirmed that thefts are common . Word to the wise--do not leave anything remotely tempting in your car--especially on nights when the Red Sox are playing. The thieves know the garage will have little foot traffic for hours and they take advantage. read more
