This statement is discrimination at the very least and I am helping the person who had the interview find a lawyer to file a lawsuit against this company. I DO NOT RECOMMEND anyone who is not a straight white person to even try to get a job here. They will not hire you and it will just be a waste of your time. But when we toured Paramount Senior Living and met with Starla Press, Director of Admissions and Marketing, we were immediately impressed. Starla spent an enormous amount of time patiently answering our questions and asked many, many questions about our sister and her specific needs. Then she went to the hospital the very next day to meet with our sister and talk with her directly. It was so very clear that Starla was interested in making this work for us and our sister - more than any other community that we met with!! So what makes Paramount Assisted Living so special and superior over other similar communities? It's the people. From Starla - to Olivia Perry, LPN, Resident Care Manager - to Shiryl Stanley in accounting... everyone who works there puts the patient and their family first. When I call to ask a question or discuss my sister's care, they go above and beyond to help. They also know who I am and more importantly, who my sister is and how she is doing. This is a beautiful community and my sister raves about the food!!! She looks forward to all of her meals in the dining room and rates then 5-star. Woodcrest Villa is independent living, the "Mennonite Home" is assisted living and nursing care. Reasonably nice facility with some nice staff. The culture is quintessential Lancaster County Mennonite...cloistered with a limited viewpoint and an ineffective understanding of what it means to run a large facility and provide service. There is historically, and unfortunately, a high turnover of employees in the two facilities (independent living and long term care) on both sides of Harrisburg Pike. This issue predated the CoVid years. My family member once nicknamed them the "Mennonite Mafia" and he nailed it. While they encourage family advocacy, they are not equipped to handle it.... and there is a degree of retribution. There's lots of competition in Lancaster County, so be sure to check all your options for senior life care.

The administrative staff is on top of any issues and the social workers are diligent in helping find solutions. I can't say enough about the quality of the food provided to my father who is a picky eater. It was delicious and gave him a wide range of choices. Under very stressful circumstances during the pandemic the all worked with us so we could have tele visits with Dad as well as window visits and gave us the peace of mind to be able to see him even through a window. The entire community was kind and exceptionally considerate through a hard year.

I asked the Nurse aid Alex for them. She said the nurse has them locked up but she ill go get the keys. After an extremely long wait I go to walk out. Almost at the entrance I find Alex sitting talking and laughing with another employee. I reminded her about needing the hearing aids, she was completely nonchalant about her just taking her good old time. I tried to tell a supervisor, but they haven't been available either.
