I was cited by my HOA for dead plants after neglecting my yard for about 5 years. I got quotes from two companies and ultimately chose Resilient Structures for my project. I decided to go with them for a couple reasons. Resilient initially contacted me but I didn't respond because I was talking to the other company. XZavier from Resilient had sent a follow up message on yelp to ask about my project and I liked the follow up at Resilient in comparison to the first company. Resilient had offered to come by and look at my yard the next day after contacting me and they were punctual and very knowledgeable on the walkthrough. I got the impression that the process was going to be very open, they would share receipts from nurseries and I got a good feeling that the price and work was going to be set and communicated well before proceeding and there wasn't going to be surprises. After the walkthrough, they gave me the price of the project, which was itemized, consisting of price of plants (400), price of mulch(200), price of manpower(1200), dump fees(300) to dispose of the dead plants, and service fee. Everything was very out in the open. I think the price was reasonable and comparable to market rates. I use the option to pay by Zelle (also options were cashiers check or cash) and saved about 100ish dollars in processing fees. They were also able to match the price of the first company I talked to. Timeline wise, I talked to Resilent on Thursday, walkthrough was Friday and signed contract on Saturday. I paid 50% up front. They initially quoted me that it would take two days. Work started Monday and finished the same day. They started work 8AM and finished around 4PM. Something to keep in mind is that Zelle has a 2000$ weekly limit. I ended up using my Zelle and my husband's Zelle and split the second payment otherwise logistically the numbers would not have added up, and Resilent was okay recieving the payment that way. In terms of day of experience. They came on time, and I talked with Jeff, who had around 45 years of landscaping experience. He went through what they would do for the day with me so we were on the same page. He actually kindly offered to deweed and redo some of a different area of the front yard that we didn't talk about during the walkthrough. When XZavier arrived, we discussed that that part would require additional plants and the team actually made a separate run to buy more plants (which I paid for separately, which was fair). The results were really good. They did everything I asked and then some, the additional area only cost me the price of plants, which I was grateful for. They also helped me move some of my planters to a different part of my yard, and those things are heavy, so I was very appreciative. (Thanks Karl, Jovanno and Rick) I emailed my HOA the pictures of the done project at the end of the day so I await with bated breath if I pass, but I feel confident I likely will. I would definitely recommend this professional, great at communicating landscape company to my friends and neighbors for their project.

I contacted Water Drainage Innovations by sending a message through Yelp asking for a quote. We set up an appointment with Dennis and he came out to measure and see what was needed. He gave us a brief verbal overview in person and then sent a written proposal. After we collected all of our bids, we really liked the plan Dennis came up with. It was comprehensive and would solve our needs and the price was fair. We signed and returned the proposal. We then set up a date to start the work. It was a 2 day job to install French Drains that run along both sides of our property. They ran PVC pipe, tying in from the gutter downspouts and going under the sidewalk and out to the street. It involved cutting holes in the curb so the water could drain out. Dennis and his team did a great job throughout the entire project. They showed up when they said they would. They were professional and polite, respectful of our property, even cleaning up at the end of day one knowing they would be back the next day. We sent half the money owed at the end of day one via Zelle, and the balance after the job was complete. We are very happy with how the entire project went and highly recommend Dennis and Water Drainage Innovations. Now we just need everyone to wash their cars and windows and do a rain dance so we can watch the water drain into the street!
