This company does the lawn service for our neighborhood (via HOA). Poor attention to detail & often time times don't do a complete job. Left piles of leaves and branches everywhere. They blow leaves into the lakes which clogs up fountains. The previous would pick up all the branches and did a great job on leaves as well. Do not recommend this company at all & most of the neighborhood is frustrated. Absolutely will not renew as we take this to HOA board. read more

After a hail storm last spring, our landscaping couldn't quite ever recover. We tried to do a few things ourselves to improve the situation, but, frankly, those things weren't very successful. We decided to call in experts to help, and after reading reviews and interviewing a few folks, we decided to go with Palm Gardens. To say we are thrilled would be an understatement. After chatting with us to figure out what we wanted, Pat developed a design plan and work plan that removed most of the front landscaping while keeping the elements that were still usable. Pat was personable and professional the entire time; he focussed on making sure that we got what we wanted, not just the design that he envisioned. Pat also helped us take down a tree that was far too close to our house and replace it with a very pretty live oak. We have worked with a number of landscape designers in the past, but Pat is the first that we would say it truly a gifted artist at his craft. So sad to say this about a company, but they promise a lot and deliver little. The contract was in the mail quickly, and I paid promptly. I could give an A+ for great excuses, but very few of the promises were fulfilled. We went for 3-4 months calling and begging for what we paid for. Each time there was a great excuse...but no results. When I read the reviews on Yelp, I thought they must be a good company. I think now they must have had 6 good friends (or family members) that would write a review. read more

My husband and I were building a house and had a wonderful landscape architect draw up the plans. We contacted Pat based on the stellar Yelp reviews and right off the bat we realized how well-deserved the reviews were. Pat was extremely responsive from the get go. Anything he promised, he delivered on time. Given all the trades and sub contractors we have had to work with during the home building process, Pat stood out as one of the best! His team is very experienced and Pat is very hands on. He checks on his jobs often and will present ideas to you based on his experience. There were several instances where Pat went above and beyond the call of duty to help us out. When we failed final inspection (not Pat's responsibility) because we didn't have trees in the front yard, Pat was all over it and got the trees in our yard within 24 hours. Pat also recommended a fantastic sprinkler company and they worked very well together as a team. They visited the job site several times and had a plan in place. Execution of that plan was flawless! We have never had to call Pat or follow up with him on anything. He is a great communicator and very proactive. We never had to guess (like with other subs) if his team will show up. We have retained Pat for weekly maintenance services and couldn't be happier. There is absolutely nobody else we would go to for landscaping and lawn needs! read more

I have had bad luck with lawn care since I got my house. I finally checked Yelp and after reading the other reviews, I gave Pat a call. He came out to assess my yard, we discussed what his regular fee covered/included, and they started the next week. My yard needed quite a bit of work and after just 1 day, I was really impressed with what they did and how much better it looked. Pat is very professional, attentive, and his crew is fantastic. We have been doing business with Palm Gardens and Pat Cook forever! He is the most attentive business owner and landscaper that we have ever worked with. It seems like he has a photographic memory when he comes to our home to do Fall and Spring color, Winter rye and any new item that we want to try. We have been trying to get just the right tree in one corner of our backyard but due to the bad freeze we had a couple of years ago our new tree died, Pat removed and replaced it and charged us exactly ZERO, and the miraculous thing is he replaced the next tree for free as well! (It appears someone in my house over waters things). We not only use him for our home landscaping but also for our office landscaping. There's nobody better than Pat Cook and his men....very polite, hard-working and they clean up after themselves every single time. read more

HORRIBLE experience. Pat is quick to request payment and slow to provide service, if he ever does. The quality is totally poor and the excuses are grand - he installed several unique areas for us and each one has perished quickly. Even the crushed granite patio he created was poorly executed and his team trashed our lawn while building. He has been impossible to contact and his billing process is pathetic. Rumor has it he uses old plants from other yards to sell to new customers. We fell victim as several trees and plants we bought from him died immediately or were DOA. Hired Palm Gardens to install a new stone patio, pergola and fire pits in back yard. Had a few hiccups with scheduling, but nothing major. The backyard turned out fantastic and the owner, Pat was always responsive and ready to take care of any issues no matter how small. Would recommend and use them again the next time I have a landscaping project, which is always the best recommendation you can give after a project is complete. read more
