Best of all, they didn't charge me anything for getting it to work. The mechanic (I believe it's Ming) told me that they still had another half year to a year left on them considering that this is my daily driver. He told me just check it again next time I'm in for an oil change. Most recently, I went in for an oil change and had him check my brake fluid because it was within the timeframe of replacement. Ming turned down the work again because the brake fluid was still clean. If you know what you need, this is exactly the place to go for honest work.

They show me some oil outside of the valve cover gasket. But no active leak. An excessive leak would mean that oil is actively leaking. So I should have seen oil on my garage floor or smoke coming from the engine but neither are the case. And honestly I'm sure these are common tactics that plenty of mechanics use but don't make it like my cars breaking down when I know it isn't. I just bought it a few months ago and had it looked at. I'm also a fireman so I've seen plenty of broken down and leaking cars. Now I will wipe the outside of the valve cover gasket clean and we'll see if there's even a slight leak let alone an "excessive leak"
