About 2 years ago I moved into the area and thought I would try to change my HD dealer to the Lancaster location instead of Chesapeake in Darlington MD. What a mistake. The majority of the service people I had to deal with didn't really understand the concept of customer service or how to talk to customer. What really set me off was when I picked up my bike they had washed it for me, and apparently they got a bunch of water up the tail pipes which made the engine almost stall on the way home. I hate to say it they either don't know what they are doing, don't pay attention to what they are doing or they did it on purpose. Whatever the reason it comes down to I don't trust them. If they can't do something as straight forward as wash a bike how can they perform repairs. So instead of going to Lancaster HD which is 10 minutes down the road, I go to Chesapeake which is 20 miles from home. read more

This place sucks. They violate their own reture policy and forced me to take a gift card. They say you need the original payment method, but that's not said on their return policy. My credit card had to be shut down, so I did not have it. It is why they forced me to accept gift card. I'm telling you to stay away from this business. I took my 2001 Heritage Softtail to the General Manager to see what they would offer to purchase the motorcycle and he gave a written offer for the motorcycle and I told him I was waiting for the title from Penn Dot and before it arrived I was called and was told they could not offer what they quoted and the general manager no longer works there. Terrible that they can't hold up to what they put in writing will never do buisness or send anyone to lanacaster harley ever again. Very Unprofessional place to deal with. My wife and I broke down on the way to Intercourse, Pa. 20 mins from their store. We called the shop and the young gentleman who answered the phone ( sorry I forgot his name) said he would have someone there shortly. 25 minutes after my phone call, Jesse from the shop pulled up. Put my bike on the truck with white glove treatment and tied it down very secure. Then drove us back to the shop with the bike. Lancaster Harley after about 45 mins, after we ate lunch, the bike was outside repaired. They charged me a very reasonable price. I would recommend them highly. So ive been a auto mechanic in PA for over 10 years i had a VA appointment up the road, about a quarter mile away. Long story short i drove my pride and joy my 02 pontiac trans am. Well idk how but both my starter bolts worked themselves out prob from my big choppy cam. Still had one hanging on by threads. I walked down to Harly Davidson to see if i could barrow a 3/8 wrench and 15mm socket so i could tighten one back in and be on my way. Not one mechanic there was willing to let me use a wrench even with offering to give them my license or wallet as collateral. Seems like they don't want to help those in need. Will not ever be shopping or buying their products anymore and everyone i know will hear this story... You lost a former army ranger for life... read more

Bought our Harley about 3 months ago. They pushed the tire warranty on us. $50 deductible no questions asked. We ended up with a screw in the tire and took it in to get it replaced. The tire tread was too low for them to warranty the tire. Then we find out the tread was to low to be covered by the warranty when we purchased it. They knowingly sold us something we could not use. My husband and I purchased our first Harley 2 weeks ago and brought it home on Friday of Memorial Day weekend. He was checking out the radio and GPS for about 10 minutes and when he turned it back on to take it for a drive, it wouldn't start; it was completely dead! Our sales person said if you have any problems to give him a call. So my husband called and called again and never heard back from him. So my husband called the service department and they were swamped and couldnt help us. So, for four days the bike set in our driveway and didn't move. Needlessly to say, we were very disappointed. On Tuesday, my husband called the service department and within one hour, a serviceman came out and replaced the battery. It was a lithium battery which was supposed to be top rated, but apparently it wasnt. So, to say we didn't take a ride over Memorial Day weekend was very sad. We still haven't heard from the sa!esperson, but hey, he received his commission so why bother. The ladies at the front desk and the service department were wonderful. read more

A decent selection, friendly folks, great service. The salespeople are nice, but a tad high pressure at times. Their Moto school is top notch. They just opened a 2nd store at the Tanger Outlets too. At least one of their stores is open all week, Mon thru Sun which is unusual for Harley stores. Definitely worth your time to check'em out. read more

I've had a terrible experience purchasing my new Harley from here. The sales folks are incredible at what they do, but once you get the Harley, get ready. The service department has been less then satisfactory. Every time I've dropped my bike off they run around like chickens with their heads cut off. They can't seem to ever find the parts they order for my bike and never call when they are in. I've had to call to check and see if my parts were in. I get that I purchased a newer model Harley but I've been in the service department 6 times! In the last 4 months of owning the bike. Hours, and hours, and hours of stale coffee in the waiting area and praying that they get it right just once. BUY a bike from Harley because they rock. Not because you want good service and you'll be alright.x read more

Do not spend any money at this dealership... we took our 2014 Street Glide to Lancaster Harley for warranty work and they only did half the work... we realized that it had not been fixed completely and a dealership in another state had to finish what they started and charged us a labor charge, which Lancaster Harley will not reimburse us for...owner there says it's not his problem that the work wasn't completed correctly and we had to pay another dealership to finish their faulty work... after buying 3 bikes at Lancaster Harley, many many parts and lots of motor clothes... After buying a light bar for the front wind screen on a 2014 Street Glide the LED lights on part of it burned out. Lancaster Harley would not exchange the part even though it was only a couple months old. Lancaster Harley's policy for electronic/ lighting systems is you must bring in the part, with the wiring harness, they need to test it themselves to make sure you not lying to them and once the part is determined to be bad, you still cant exchange it ? it must be sent back to Harley for testing. Harley must send a replacement back to the dealer, the ones in stock at the store cant be used for exchange. Now that a really bad policy . No other manufacture uses that kind of policy. I dropped this part off in December and it took about six weeks to resolve. The worst part of my experience after all that was the store never called me once to let me know where we stood in the process and when I questioned them on that, there answer was the called and spoke to my wife. Funny, the number they have is my cell phone and it needs my fingerprint to answer it? Did you think I wouldn't ask my wife if she took the call? Hate to say it, but there are lots of other Harley dealers out there, I don't need this one. read more
