So many people have recommended the shop to me, of course it was just a matter of time before I needed brakes or an Inspection, or something like that. I went into the shop. The other day needed brakes and had a stuck caliper, brought it into them was treated so well. When they called me with a quotation I was floored. I thought it was going to be twice the price they gave me I'm over the moon with this place and they are now my go to place for auto service for the rest of my life or until I leave Lancaster. read more

I have used them for car sales or repair work, but I once was stuck in the snow on Martha Avenue and guys from the shop came out to help push me. I always wanted to leave a nice comment or review to thank them, but neglected to until now. The kindness they showed a stranger would seemingly reflect well on their customer service and general integrity. Thanks guys, whoever you were. read more

Trustworthy , reliable and always helpful and courteous. Everyone there is wonderful and the service is outstanding !!!

We bring our vehicles here for inspections along with other maintenance jobs and have for the past three years. The service can't be beat! They take great care of the vehicles and don't try to upsell you on ridiculous things. Probably the most honest and nicest auto shop in Lancaster. read more

just wanted to say how thankful we are that they took my husbands wrangler quite last minute after telling me they were booked for a few days (Until they learned it was his daily and not drivable). Unfortunately it wasn't great news but that's not their fault. Our last shop kept his wrangler for two weeks and this shop is going to have it ready in less than 3 days from drop off. Darren and Ryan were extremely knowledgeable, helpful and honest. We definitely found our forever shop! 1000% do recommend! read more

They are very communicative during the repair process. I need a quality job repairing my car after an accident with a deer. They were also able to squeeze me into their schedule fairly quickly compared to other repair shops nearby. read more

Top notch shop!! Great service on my vehicles and great customer service also, very friendly, very knowledgeable and very fair when it comes to prices. If you go to Pep Boys or Firestone because you think you are saving money think again, you certainly are not. read more

These guys bailed me out! Broke down while driving through to Philly. Great price, speed and quality. Thank you for the help!

I've been taking my pickup to this garage, and I couldn't be more pleased. Both times, Ryan has caught me when I picked up my truck to fill me in on what he found and fixed. This time I asked for a few repairs including replacing my brake pads -- they had given me a heads up at my last inspection that they would probably need to be replaced around this time. To my surprise, Ryan told me my brakes hadn't worn down much and didn't need to be replaced, so they didn't do that work. I'll happily keep that cash in my pocket a little longer. Thanks! read more

We took our car in to M&R bodyshop for front end repair. We were backed into and the bumper, hood, light and front drivers side fender were messed up. We went to talk to Stewart who was very knowledgeable and nice. He explained to us what he was going to do and that it was going to take X amount of days. The car was done on time. Honestly excellent service up until this point. We picked the car up and thanked them for the wonderful job they did. And this is where things started going down hill. A short time after the repair the bumper started coming off of the frame where it was supposed to be repaired. So out of curiousity, I took it to someone who had worked on body repair. He pointed out MULTIPLE problems with the car. He showed me the hood and the shoddy job they did sanding it and repainting it. The bumper color doesn't match the body paint 100%. Its close but noticeable if you look. The fender paint started cracking on the fender where the light pushed back into the fender and the fender is misaligned. There are gaps between the hood and the door that shouldn't be there. So I took the car back and talked to Stewart again. I showed him all of the stuff that was pointed out to me. He offered to fix the shoddy work on the hood and the cracked paint in the fender. He stated that the gap on the fender was probably from a previous accident. First off I would love how he magically knows that, other then I told him we bought the car and it was in previous accidents. But anyhow I told him all I wanted him to fix was the cracks in the fender, the other stuff was not a big deal. I admit to saying that. Stewart was nice enough to call the insurance company back and was authorized for payment to fix the fender. I then called Stewart back to schedule an appointment and I made an offhanded comment about getting screwed on having to make payments on a rental. Nothing was said. He claims he doesn't remember but my fiancee was there the entire phone call and she heard me say it because she wasn't happy about it either. We scheduled the appointment. We went to get the rental car and snapped out of it "Why should we have to pay a rental when it wasn't our mistake?" So at that point I had enough. I called Stewart and told him to forget the repair, he had previously offered the check for the insurance money so we decided to go that route on account of them messing up the car so bad to begin with and just having to deal with all this other mess. He sincerely felt bad. He offered a rental car but I felt it was too little to late so I just wanted to go in and pick up the check and wash my hands of the whole situation. He was upset but he understood. I went in and spoke to a woman named Amy. She asked me why we didn't want to have the work done and I stated I was just upset with the whole situation and I wanted to walk away from it. She said to us with a snarky attitude, "Well we can't fix it without you giving us the chance." Well in my opinion we DID give them another chance. We had everything scheduled for repair. I was later told that they actually don't offer rental service. 1. I appreciate the offer but at that point I had enough. 2. Why even bring that up? You made the mistakes. If everything would have been properly from the get go then we wouldn't be in this situation. My fiancee and I did get irritated and expressed that in a not so nice manner. I worked in customer service for 8 years. I understand the frustration on both sides. But it is NEVER acceptable for the person behind the counter to get frustrated and take it out on the customer. Walk away, get a manager, but don't treat the customer like they are beneath you. Through out the whole process I was as nice as I could be. Understanding that people make mistakes and was willing to have it repaired at first. And they were professional up until the point I said I didn't want the work done. Amy was very unprofessional. I hope this is a learning experience for all involved. read more

The MR Auto owner initially explained that he was already booked for the day but when we explained that we were from out of town and needed to fix the brakes he went out of his way to fit us in. While he worked on the car for over an hour he only charged us for one hour of labor and gave us an excellent price. He could have easily added on extras but was extremely honest and fair in explaining the problems and fixing the problem. He replaced rotors and pads, did not charge for adjustments or other extras that are often charged for when fixing brakes. The owner showed us around his garage, talked about his mechanics' experience and explained all the details about the repairs. The service was excellent, professional and on time and this was after he fit us in to his busy schedule. read more

I tend to go by others ratings. Next time I will go by others experience that I know. When I picked my vehicle up I noticed some imperfections in the paint. I was told it was dust in between the paint and clear & you will never get it perfect. I then come to find the rear wiper was not working on the rear deck lid that was just replaced. How do you not check to make sure everything is working properly??? The rear deck lid glass has paint over spray. Nothing fine steal wool can't fix but, I shouldn't have to do it on a $2000 job. Then to top it off , how do you not clean a customer vehicle on the exterior??? Just saying! Not impressed! Will NOT return!! read more

Hello, I recently had my bumper replaced here at M & R Auto. I was very pleased with how they handled a miscommunication between the insurance company and the garage. They were very prompt on fixing the problem and Ryan personally took me around the car to go over what needed to be fixed. When I got the car back it looked amazing!! They blended the bumper into the fenders and matched the paint perfectly. I couldn't even tell where they had blended it :) Thank you M & R Auto for the wonderful job!:) read more

We were in Lancaster for the day. Our car broke down. AAA towed us to M&R auto center. They were friendly, helpful and made a bad story turn into a good story. Gave us a loaner car to have late lunch and fixed the car quickly so we could still enjoy the day. Too bad we don't live in the area. It would be our go-to auto center. Louise read more

I love these guys. Always great service, and honest. That's all I can ask for in a mechanic.

Amazing service, I was stranded in Lancaster and they got my car going right away without overcharging me. Thank you!

I actually found them on the Internet in which they had some of the best reviews. I can honestly attest to their service I dealt with Ryan, a service advisor he was very informative of what was going on with my car explaining everything in detail when I asked. The work they did was great and I got my car in a timely manner. Everyone in the front was very courteous. I will continue to use them as my mechanic because of the first job which was a big job. I am so grateful to them for their service read more

I have been taking both my cars here for a while. At first they were fantastic, and they still are good mechanics, but now repairs seem more expensive. Also every time I bring my car in to get fixed another problem arises. I had a brand new battery put in and a few weeks later it started to corrode. It seems like they treat you great in the beginning but become just like every mechanic eventually. read more

Wow. I came in off the street while there for work - end of the day, tires totally busted and i was a hundred miles from home. They hustled and stayed open late just to get me back on the road safely in a snow storm. They probably saved my life, to be honest! Very trustworthy. read more

In the middle of our road trip from South Carolina to Hershey, our car broke down on the side of the road. Luckily AAA decided to tow us to M&R Auto Service. When we arrived we were tired, frustrated, and did not now what our next steps would be. Once we knew we needed a new radiator, we sat down to debate our options : Rent a car? Drive on into Hershey? Stay a day in Lancaster and miss a day of vacation? It was after 3 in the afternoon and a kind hearted employee took pity on our plight. After offering us several options and sensing our dismay, one of the employees offered to rush the radiator shipment and stay late to fix our car. The owner, knowing that we were hungry, actually drove us into town so we could get some dinner. If you have to lose a radiator during vacation be sure to lose on near M&R Auto Service in Lancaster, PA. These guys went far beyond what they had to, and we consider ourselves blessed to of met them. read more
