I called so that I could get my car towed back home. The receptionist was very polite, took my information and within about 20 minutes they were there to pick me up. The tow truck driver was courteous, took special care in loading my car, and provided me with great conversation on the 30 minute ride home. I was very impressed by their customer service. Katie & Steve were both friendly and easy to work with. One thing I appreciated was that I called on a Wednesday morning to get an update on the car. Steve told me they were still waiting on a part and wasn't sure of the timing. He then emailed me that night to confirm it would be done Thursday. On Thursday Katie called me in the morning to let me know it was in the last stages of being put back together, and then called again to confirm it was done and ready for pickup. They also washed the car for us! I also felt their prices were fair. My regular mechanic gave me a ballpark estimate on what I could expect to pay for this repair (based on what they'd seen another body shop charge). Barton's price was better than that, so I felt I paid a fair price. While I hope I never need to go to a body shop again, I would definitely go back to Barton's.

I was disappointed, though, with the condition of the replaced parts when we got them back. They asked if we wanted the parts, and we also checked the box on their form saying we did. The parts weren't in the Jeep when we picked it up. When I called, Gary explained that he doesn't put them in vehicles because they could damage a seat or the interior, which I understand. I stopped back to get them, but they had scratches well beyond the minor damage they had when they came off the Jeep. I don't know how they were stored or handled, but it was frustrating to see them in that condition. I had hoped to keep them as spares or maybe use them as garage wall art in the meantime. We might never need the parts again, but given how expensive Jeep parts are, I liked having the option. Before the additional scratches, they appeared usable without refinishing. Now, while I'm no expert, I believe they would need to be completely refinished. The repair itself was excellent. I just wish the parts they asked us if we wanted, and that we specifically requested, had been handled with more care.

I received a quote from The General, and the quote was a joke... John resubmitted a new quote, and sent all the additional documents that my insurance company needed. The day he gave me a quote, he ordered all the parts he needed. During the 5 days it took them to fix it, they updated me through text message, and even dealt with my phone calls.
