The waiting room and parking lot can get crowded when there's a lot of classes going on, which makes it hard sometimes. You can view the kids in gymnastics, with the cameras they have connected on the TV, which can get difficult to see sometimes as well.

As the owner says, it's very much a gym style experience with gymnastics theme. However, when I called today to get a better understanding of what levels my girls are now after 3 years, the owner informed me that they are beginners because they take classes on the Saturday and Sunday. And while they do subdivide kids within the class based levels, your kid is just a name and no profile is created about her/him where the owner is able to talk about without having to ask the teachers about it. Any parent education or a clear progression of levels is nonexistent, at least for my kids. If I wanted to gear towards competitive path, I was told that they can't try out unless they take at least 2 classes but usually this was invitation only. No instructor or facility has ever come to me or educated me regarding whether any child should or has the ability to move towards this. In addition, they got my child's information wrong and tells me she should have been recreational level. The owner calls me back to inform me that my daughter was working on back walkover after speaking to the instructor. My daughter works hard and I expect the facility to know my child and to monitoring the progression and also keep the parent informed. So if you child attends on Saturdays and Sunday, you are officially a beginner no matter how long you've been going there. Instructor's are good but how it's run and lack of communication with parents, and even general visibility of progressing the students is really bad.

They push my daughter to her full potential but in a caring, nurturing environment. Gymnastics kept my daughter busy through the pandemic and summer months. They did such a great job with Covid-19 protocols, in fact maybe the best where they kept the virus out of their gym. By far the best place to send a budding gymnast for fun or if they want to move up the levels and one day compete. Thumbs up all around.

Back in my day, it was much more limited: swimming took up about 80% of the time, with occasional trips to a run-down movie theater (where half the seats didn't work) and Adventureland amusement park. The one genuinely awesome activity was visiting this old-school arcade - that place was dope, and along with one kind bus monitor named Melissa, it's the only reason this review gets 2 stars. The camp's unprofessionalism and poor care really stand out in my memory. When I was 9, I had a bad fall that left scrapes all along the side of my face and knocked out one of my teeth - thankfully it was just a baby tooth and not a permanent one. Their idea of first aid? A band-aid and ice water in a plastic glove because they didn't even have proper ice packs. They didn't properly inform my mother about the extent of my injuries, so when I got home, she was shocked. She wrote a lengthy letter expressing her concerns about their negligence. Their response? The next day at camp, they pulled me aside to tell me I had "embarrassed them." I was just a kid who got hurt under their watch - what was there to be embarrassed about? The camp's staffing practices were concerning, to say the least. Instead of hiring qualified teachers or experienced childcare professionals, they filled positions with high school students as junior counselors and a few 18-22 year olds as the lead councelors. I remember overhearing them getting their monthly paychecks, well not overhear we were in an open field just sitting around cause that tends to happen there and then someone came with a whole bunch of envelopes and handed them out to them. I remember one girl received just $430 for four weeks of work, and she was visibly upset. At the time, as a kid, I thought that was a lot of money. Now I realize how absurd it was - less than $500 to watch other people's children for a month? No wonder the care was subpar. They were paying teenagers peanuts to handle significant responsibilities. Most of the bus monitors were incredibly mean to the kids, with one shining exception - Melissa. I still remember her decades later because she was the only one who showed genuine kindness. One counselor convinced a little girl to let her "borrow" her cell phone, then made international calls to the Dominican Republic (imagine that phone bill in the early 2000s!). Another counselor was eventually fired for being consistently cruel to the kids - she was clearly just there for the paycheck. While I see they've added more activities since my time there, my experiences were memorable for all the wrong reasons. Based on my time at Magic Day Camp, I wouldn't send my own children there. The administration seemed more focused on collecting fees than providing quality care and activities for the kids. That old arcade was amazing and Melissa was a saint, but two bright spots don't make up for everything else.

Unfortunately, when Brad went on vacation, they switched her to a completely different instructor, a newcomer with very little experience...instead of simply using a temporary substitute. I understand needing coverage, but changing instructors unnecessarily, especially to someone so inexperienced, is disruptive ! Consistency matters, and I'm very disappointed with how this was handled.

The private class is a significant cost and for it to be wasted like that was very disappointing.I get it once in a blue moon because life happens but almost every class is ridiculous. We noticed the parent after our class was furious at the poolside too because he had the same issue. The same instructor wasn't there, no notification of our instructor being absent and no one to guide him with a new instructor. After talking to a few parents, this specific instructor does this often. We spoke to a couple of managers regarding her tardiness in the past and nothing was done about it. My husband tried to calm me down and we gave her the benefit of the doubt for 4-5 months. If it wasn't for the other swim instructors that we did like, I would have switched to a different school

My son is 14 and quite tall, but he learned basketball at the park, so there were some basic fundamentals that were missing in his game, that held him back from progressing as a player. After the first, 2hr session, I saw him moving a different way. During the first game after that clinic, he was utilizing what he had just learned from Seth (head coach at Elite Skills) and even he realized that these fundamental moves worked and made him better. Even if only for a little bit. However after a bunch of points later, I saw a confidence established for him that wasnt ever present before. Kudos to Seth for getting my son to listen and learn, and realize that feeling uncomfortable during the drills, is actually him LEARNING SOMETHING NEW AND MORE IMPORTANTLY THE RIGHT WAY.
