We continue to drive our children to Baldwin every morning. It is so valuable to have a place we can trust while my husband and I work in the City. I am a mother of three kids and had my oldest enter TT at age 2, she stayed until she finished the pre-k program and entered kindagarden. My child is more than prepared for her first year of elementary school. She loved every day of Tutor time and often asks to visit her teachers. My middle child started out in the infant room with Miss Jackie and Miss Denise at 3 months, I cannot not say enough about these two ladies. They go above and beyond to give the infants all the love and attention you could want your small baby to have. They sit with them, play with them, they even do arts and crafts. My middle boy, now 3, is so bonded to them because of the amount of care given to him from the start. The other teachers have really carried through as he has grown and developed. Currently, my now 7 month old has been exclusively with Miss Jackie, it gives me great comfort that he gives her the biggest smile and baby hug every morning when I drop him off. She is now on the team and practices 9 hours a week. I am so very impressed with the founder and owner Cristina and all the wonderful coaches. They push my daughter to her full potential but in a caring, nurturing environment. Gymnastics kept my daughter busy through the pandemic and summer months. They did such a great job with Covid-19 protocols, in fact maybe the best where they kept the virus out of their gym. By far the best place to send a budding gymnast for fun or if they want to move up the levels and one day compete. Thumbs up all around.

They have an amazing curriculum that keeps children engaged, participate in community activities, have events, teach children about the importance of manners and the list goes on and on. This is one of the most organized schools I have ever encountered. They send weekly reminders to parents about what the children are learning, monthly newsletters, reminder text messages, book fairs, cultural events-the list goes on. The teachers here are all amazing. Mrs. Petra and Mr. Jahbari are kind and patient-it takes a lot of patience to deal with 4 year olds and they do it with such ease and professionalism. I was excited for Sunday to arrive at 2 o'clock I was there promptly waiting with my tango shoes ready to take on a class I was told was going to be great. There was a variety of levels in the class and that's understandable as always. Then Alexey introduced us methodically to some steps and practice run. A very good teacher for the beginners and I was happy to get the chance to dance with someone who knew his steps. But I was confused as I was told our instructor would be Eran... but the lesson was sufficiently styled again for beginners. Then suddenly without much explanation a man named George took over the second half of the class and the structure completely disappeared. He repeated all that Alexey had spoke of and was absolutely over talked, under demonstrated and --sorry but as an Argentine milonguera and tango lyrics translator,-- I could not help but find it condescending to be instructed on the culture of tango by a Jewish Long Islander... it turned me off completely and 45 minutes later when we finally got a chance to practice what he called rock step and grapevine (terms unheard of in tango), I was done. Also one note: if you are a male beginning dancer please refrain from instructing the female out loud as if you knew more than she. Just Keep quiet, lead correctly and get out of her way so you don't trip, step, or block her. Men lead but do not rule. Take note. I've been searching for lessons around town and will continue to do so. Shame it was a shambles of a class.

I had high hopes of becoming a student at this studio November 2014. I'm the kind of person that knows exactly what I want when it comes to a dance studio; to perform showcases and dance with a partner that we both establish a great connection. Someone who enjoys teaching the way I enjoy learning. I was partnered with "Sasha" and he was nothing like that. Sasha a poor choice in every way. Strictly business, insulting, and instructed just to make money. We had four weeks until a showcase. He hated the song and dance I chose for our routine; we honestly just didnt see eye to eye on anything. I wanted to quit after the first lesson. The night of the showcase was a joke.. 30+ performers? I didnt perform until two hours later. Oh, and if you didnt pay the rediculous fee for dinner AND your performance, you were not allowed to eat that night nor sit. Rediculous. Also, Sasha was 45 min late so we barely had time to practice before we performed. He never aknowledged my existence that night, nor said goodbye when he left. I wrote a letter to the owner, Irina, explaining the whole situation as I'm telling it now. Nothing. No phone call, email, nothing. Just to "write a yelp review!" Here it is. Poor way to run your business when you charge rediculous prices.

Twin oaks day camp has been the best experience for both of my kids. I have been a teacher for 20…read moreyears and have 2 kids that attend twin oaks. One of my kids is a camper in the day camp program. I am more than thrilled with the quality of care and activities that twin oaks has to offer. My daughters have made new friends, become more self confident, and tried many new things that they would never do if it wasn't for the experiences at twin oaks. My other daughter is in the Gemini program. This program is another exceptional program that the camp has to offer. My daughter has been on such amazing trips. Last year she went to see Aladdin and blue man group on Broadway. Some of the other trips that she couldn't stop talking about were lunch at Ellen's stardust diner, the beast boat ride in Manhattan, Luna park , splish splash and many more. Both of my girls had exceptional, well trained, kind, caring , and compassionate counselors. I felt 100% comfortable leaving my children in the good care of these counselors. The Gemini counselors were extremely organized so each trip ran smoothly. My kids and I couldn't be happier at twin oaks. I recommended twin oaks to anyone who wants a memorable summer!

We would take overcrowded buses to horrible trips and we would eat the disgusting and spoiled camp "lunches". Next, the counslers. The counslers are poorly selected and act like assholes towards us. They also think they have the right to take away electronic items from us such phones and handhelds when we were just innocently using them to play a game or so hi to a friend. They would force kids to triple up in a small 2 person seat so they can get their own seat normally meant for 3 people. They would force us to participate in things we don't want to do and treat us like 2 year olds. Every year, Twin Oaks goes to a broadway show and does a workshop in the morning before the show. The workshops are very boring and nobody enjoys it. If you try to sit out the counselors being the a-holes they are, will start yelling and they even made a couple kids CRY by yelling at them to participate. Also that day, we had stale bagels for lunch! Figures... I highly recommend NOT sending your children to this camp for day camp or the travel program unless, you want your child to be harassed by the so called counselors, sent on terrible trips, eat stale lunches and be packed into overcrowded mini buses. Even though the trips look like and sound like a lot of fun, the camp always figures out how to ruin it! They can't do a single right and they are very cheap!
