Unfortunately, when Brad went on vacation, they switched her to a completely different instructor, a newcomer with very little experience...instead of simply using a temporary substitute. The new instructor has a very different teaching style and routine, and I can clearly see the setback in my daughter's progress. I understand needing coverage, but changing instructors unnecessarily, especially to someone so inexperienced, is disruptive ! Consistency matters, and I'm very disappointed with how this was handled.

Today was my last straw, I actually had to talk to a different instructor just to get my daughter a swim instructor. It's unprofessional and it was eating into our swim time. The private class is a significant cost and for it to be wasted like that was very disappointing.I get it once in a blue moon because life happens but almost every class is ridiculous. We noticed the parent after our class was furious at the poolside too because he had the same issue. The same instructor wasn't there, no notification of our instructor being absent and no one to guide him with a new instructor. After talking to a few parents, this specific instructor does this often. We spoke to a couple of managers regarding her tardiness in the past and nothing was done about it. We've tried a few other places, of which my overall impression was pretty poor, but look, I'm not expecting them to start lap swimming before they're 5 years old - that being said, I like how the student to instructor ratio is low (1:4 at the most - I taught in the town of hempstead and would do 15-20 kids to myself regularly) how it's separated and the instructors themselves. I'm sure that as time goes on we'll pivot as schedules allow, but I think this is a great place for those who's kids are already comfortable in the water and able to listen to instructions.

They are also very knowledgeable. I'll often have a hard question and I'll speak to some teenager (cue eye roll). Then, the kid gives me a friendly and accurate answer because they've been going to the camp since they were 4 and are subject matter experts! It's hilarious. Send your kids. One time they actually left my child and the director called apologizing. Bus counselor was very rude and unprofessional. After going to several swim schools we found the perfect place for my son who has autism. There are 1 to 1 classes as well as group classes. What's really great is the way the pool is sectioned of when multiple classes are going on. The pool is 6m x 15m. The pool is divided in half so the swim area is 3m x 15m, much larger than other swim schools in the area. Instructors are able to concentrate on teaching how to swim and not worry about running into other swimmers. Every Instructor that my son has swam with has been very attentive and supportive. The support staff has been great and understanding. We had to change my son's schedule a few times and never had an issue. We had to cancel last minute because of a medical issue and they gave us a make up token instead of losing the session! We have been coming here for a year and its been a great experience!

The bathroom has mold on the floor of the showers, there's rust around the hand soap area, spilled hand soap on on the sink counter, toilet paper on the floor in the stalls and the sink very dirty. There's always a new instructor every time I would come for lessons with my kids. No one tells you what's going on, you basically have to go with the flow and not ask questions because to them it's the way how they do their service. Customer service is horrible. There's nothing wrong with the staffs, expect for one staff member. Every member that worked June 2022 felt over worked by the owner and is super unhappy." how do I know ?" bc they told me in-person the week of 4th Of July. There's one time I went on a Thursday during 4th of July weekend with my kids, there's was no one available to teach any lessons bc apparently they was closed. I didn't get a phone call, nor a text or email that they would be closed for the week of 4th of July. When I got there, one member told me that I wasn't the first customer that walked in here today with no update company being closed for the week of 4th July . The staff proceed to tell me that it was so unprofessional how managements handled their customers and it's not their fault; which I didn't blame them and I agreed it's not. I took my kids home and the next week I got a phone call from DANNY telling me I have a lesson today ( Thursday 4pm). I reply to him, no one didn't update me if the company was closed or open, so I assumed it's closed. I did pay the 4th of July week bc I was told by the staffs that if I didn't pay now I would or will loose my slot for the summer session in July. So, I made a payment of 121 on July 7th. On July 21 4pm I came in like a normal regular unprofessional day at swim star . There was two instructor who's not supposed to instruct my kids are there. I wasn't aware again. The two instructors did not introduce themselves or even said which child that will work with. They just began the lesson with no hi's or introduction. After the lesson I called Danny and told him about the experience and he said he's shocked and I asked for a refund bc this wasn't the first unprofessional encounter I had experienced at swim star. DANNY said he'll give me a call Back Friday, but no calls. I called myself Thursday July 28th to see where I stand. I told him about the hygiene in the bathroom, he said the building owner has to take care of that, that if I wanted I can use the bathroom upfront by the desk. I told him about the week I showed up no one was dress to teach, I told him about the customer service and he didn't really care. I asked him for a refund, he said he's no going to give me a refund bc of his staffs, customer service and the hygiene at the company. He hanged up the phone bc he didn't hear anything ( my phone accidentally went on mute for two seconds bc i was Multitasking with kids) I called bk he said he hanged up bc I stop talking and I asked him again for a refund. He refused to give me a refund and told me to come in even if I'm uncomfortable. I told him why would I come in if I'm uncomfortable with my kids getting teach by anyone that works there ? He didn't care if I'm uncomfortable or how I felt as a paying customer. He didn't care for my kids comfort. He's basically saying he doesn't care and he's not going to give me back any money bc it's on their contract. I proceeded to ask him about the contract saying does or did the contract said about different instructors and company hygiene ? He said no. I would not recommend anyone to go there with their kids because they're very unprofessional and not nice to their customers. They honestly act like you're getting free lesson , most cleanest company and have the greatest customer service, but it's not. Please if no one doesn't believe me. CHeck them out for yourself ! You wouldn't be disappointed.

My right knee always hurts after dance class, Katya noticed that I bring my knee the the inside when I demi in second position. Yay Katya! Decided to register my second child for swimming lessons in the Glen Oaks location because it is closer to home for us, but they lack a lot. For one, no one here answers the phone when you call. Ever. You are responded to via text and it just seems so impersonal and responses are heavily delayed. The first time I took my second child, we were never greeted or told what to do had to figure it out on our own, despite letting them know it was our child's first day. Staff seems distracted and just there for the job. We never received the complimentary Goldfish bag with accessories that you'd usually receive as a first time member nor were there anyone to walk us and show us the facility. My child was in a single swimming lane with 2 instructors for the 4 students. They had kids swimming together and it was a tight squeeze and to me, just an inefficient way to learn to swim as the young students needed to maneuver around the other student. I will not be renewing my membership here... willing to drive the additional 15 minutes for better quality of service. Impersonal, no phone answering services and absentminded staff.. oh and dirty diapers left behind in changing rooms. This goldfish seems to be run by young minds who do not understand the importance of customer service and attention to customers.
