where a young girl is molded in to a young lady. My daughter has been attending the class here for quite sometime now and loves every bit of it. The instructors at rhythmic gymnastics are one of a kind. The order and discipline is amazing. The classes are of pretty big size but still they manege to have time to for a little one on one with with the students to help them perfect there stretches and posture. At the moment we live all the way in bayside. After endless searches for a closer class we realized that we weren't going to find anything that could even come close in comparison. While reading the reviews about this school their was one that really bothered me. A lady started that the 14 year old teach the children and not really the teachers. This from my experience is totally false. If there is a 14 year old teaching your daughter it is only because some students will take the time and assist a younger student. It is not that the instructors will ever abandon the child its that an experienced student was just closer to the child while she was messing up. All though this school is amazing it is always the parents job to ma!e sure that the child is exercising and practicing at home. If you daughter for some reason is not improving then it your self to blame. Since attending for a while I've gotten a chance to speak with a few parents f some of the girls. During my talks I have discovered that many mothers have once attended the class themselves and later became a doctor or other respectable profession and then sent their daughters to study with Mila. To sum it all up this school is what your daughter needs in her life and Mila is the teacher \ mentor and role model every young lady can look up to. Her teaching style is untouched. read more

Prior to joining the Forest Hills Rhythmic Gymnastics school, my 10 y.o. daughter had already had some gymnastics training and was already able to do a cartwheel, almost a side split on one side, some balancing on her toes, but she kind of plateaued and was still not as strong and agile as she wanted to be. She started attending classes at this school only in February 2016, and in just a couple of short months she improved her technique tremendously! In such a short period of time we've seen some major improvements in the results of her training: she is now able to do both side and front full splits; wide-angle seated forward bend with the straight back (that was the thing she could not do for a very long time); two and one handed cartwheel with much better poise and grace; maintains a much better balance standing on her toes as she improved her leg and core muscle strength. Overall she's much stronger and tougher. And that's just after one semester of training! Summer is over, and we are definitely coming back for more. read more

My daughter attended Forest Hills Rhythmic Gymnastics for 10 years. Even today when she is young independent beautiful successful lady she is very close with Mila and many of the friends that she made and kept through all these years. This school teaches girls poise, discipline, both physical and mental endurance, communication skills, fair competition and developed them into these well rounded human beings. FHRG is truly one of the kind in our area for the services offered and knowledge and experiences gained. How many kids can say that they performed during half time at Madison Square Garden? Mila's kids can! They learn how to work as a team and feel connected and responsible for themselves and each other. There is so much more I can say about FHRG... The staff is very professional, hard working and honest. If you missed a class they would always offer you a free make up class. This is the type of staff in whose hands you are not afraid to leave your child with. It's also such a wonderful feeling to see the progress of your child: you remember the day 1 when you just brought her to gymnastics and in few months you see all the amazing results. Not only during the final performance, but also in real life: posture, coordination, discipline, being more organized. The main teacher is a sport master in gymnastics. She is tough, but at the same time caring and knowing the limits. The helping team is also very professional. They all have dancing/ gymnastics background and education. They know what they are doing. The kids have a nice example of gymnasts in front of them. Our daughter has been attending gymnastics class with Sasha and Mila for the last 6.5 years. Of all the extracurricular activities she is involved in, it very quickly became the one she looked forward to attending most. She enjoys the classes for many reasons. Of course, Mila and Sasha are a big part of it. In addition, though, she loves the instructors and the friends she's made. For me, I love the discipline she has learned from day one. My daughter now has a strong work ethic and eagerness to excel, which she now applies to other aspects of her life such as school. I grew up going to Forest Hills Rhythmic Gymnastics, and have the best memories from my 10+ years with the team! It's truly a staple in the community. The staff and students are wonderful--they became my second family. My daughter has attended classes at FHG for about 2 years. It's a great way for girls to learn poise, flexibility and discipline. The classes are conducted in an orderly and disciplined manner, but with praise given when earned. The teachers are strict enough to get results, but instill confidence as well for a job well done. They just had their year-end show, in front of a full house, with all proceeds of the event going to Sloan Kettering Memorial Hospital Pediatrics Cancer Research, rather than back to the school itself. We have been taking our daughter to Mila's gymnastics for 4 years and have enjoyed every moment!!! Our daughter has significantly advanced and enjoyed the environment and all the teachers! We have been coming here for a couple of years now and all I can say is, what an amazing gymnastics program. The coaches are tough but passionate about getting the best out of each and every student. The school has been featured on NY1 news and just performed again at Madison Square Garden. Classes start on time and, contrary to other comments I have read, the school is very well organized and run. I have heard amazing things about this place and decided to try it out. First day my little girl started attending she couldn't stop bragging to all her family members and friends of how much she loved it. As a mother I was extremely happy because that is all that really matters. Teachers are simply awesome very dedicate and uplifting making sure each child gets what they need to succeed. This is the BEST gymnastics group my 13 year old daughter has ever been to. She attended the rhythmic dance group for only 3 months and they were able to teach her all the moves for 2 songs. She tried as much as possible not to miss any days because she loves the way they run the program. She was able to perform the show in June even though she was only there for 3 months. This is our third year with FH Rhythmic Gymnastics and my daughter achieved tremendous results. It's a place where girls develop confidence, strength and camaraderie. The teachers are truly wonderful and treat girls with compassion, respect and make them feel special.
