    Won ton noodles
    Matthew W.

Definitely worth the money. Won ton noodles were only $8.50, which is insane value for New York. It's rather nondescript and looks a bit ramshackle compared to other storefronts, but don't let that discourage you. They also have free chili oil and pickled veggies available. The food comes very, very fast as well. Cash only!

    Braised Beef Hand Pulled Noodle

Just Opened . LanZhou Noodle 41-10A Main Street - Flushing . . Braised Beef Hand Pulled Noodle - $9.00 - they also offer sliced and rice noodle . . It was a decent bowl of noodle soup. The soup itself was on the light side, which I enjoyed, and with the freshness of the parsley... i mean, beefy soup is good too but at times it can be too overwhelming. . The braised beef was really good. It could have been cooked/braised for a bit longer as some of the pieces were more tender than others. They use beef tendon so most of the pieces has tendon. So for those who like tendon, this is for you. It was a decent amount of beef too.. . The noodles are made fresh so it was bouncy and chewy. It was a lot of noodle too. Next time I will try the sliced noodle... The gentleman next to me ordered what seemed to be oxtail, so that is what I'm gonna try next time... . You can easily miss this place as it advertised as a Ramen-Bubble Tea out front. It appears they will have a bubble tea vendor but that is not fully set up yet... . They have a sauce station but no garbage can, so you just leave your tray/garbage on the table and they will clean it up for you. It was odd to me as I bought my tray to the counter and they just instructed me to leave on the table... I did see others do that as well, but I am not accustomed to that...

    Pork Intestine Pulled Noodles

Surprised they're aren't any reviews for this place, been around for a minute . I always pass by here when I'm walking around Flushing/Main St being fat...decided to give them a try and they did not disappoint. I ordered their pork intestine pulled noodle soup. The pork intestines were pretty damn good, good flavor balance with the broth. Noodles were cooked well, tasted quite good with the broth as well . For almost $11, it was definitely a solid meal. I definitely recommend giving this place a try, I'll be trying the roasted duck one next

    Eggplant BBQ skewers

Some of the best noodles in Flushing, with a wonderfully fresh, nutty flavor to the sauce in the vegetable dry noodles. Packed with flavor. BBQ skewers were well-cooked with great flavor as well, definitely recommend trying. Would return to try their cut noodles and other BBQ skewers as there were many to choose from.

This is Hong Kong style done right, and in Flushing you're getting the real thing at prices that genuinely rival what you'd pay in China. We lucked into a nice day and grabbed a seat outside. Service was fast and furious, which is exactly what you should expect and honestly want from a spot like this. You're not here for a leisurely dining experience, you're here to eat something delicious and get on with your day. My one gripe, and it applies to the whole surrounding area and not just Maxi's: there are basically no bathrooms to be found. Plan accordingly before you commit to a big bowl of soup. Cheap, tasty, authentic. Everything a Flushing noodle spot should be.

All were delicious! I have bought it and re-heated it up the next day as well and it still taste good! Tried the shark fin soup as well and it is thicker (not very soupy) but flavor is great. If you don't like the thickness you can always add some water to it. Definitely a go to spot if I am in the area :)

We walked into a casual space that fit the style of food, with the main focus being on freshly made noodles, flavorful broths, and hearty dishes. The dining room had a practical, no-fuss energy with a steady flow of customers coming in for a warm bowl, and the open kitchen gave us a view of the noodle pulling process that added a layer of engagement to the meal. The Lanzhou beef noodle soup is the main highlight and the dish that defines the restaurant. We ordered a bowl and found the broth with a rich, savory flavor and a good balance of spices, while the hand-pulled noodles had a satisfying texture that made each bite enjoyable. The thin slices of beef added another layer to the dish, and the chili oil gave the soup extra depth without overpowering the original flavors of the broth. Beyond the noodles, the lamb skewers were another standout item, the meat tender and well seasoned with a smoky grilled flavor that paired nicely with the noodle dishes. The menu also included other options like braised beef noodles and lamb dishes, giving us a few different ways to experience the flavors of Lanzhou cuisine. Service was polite and the overall experience felt relaxed. The restaurant has a straightforward setup, making it a good option for a casual meal, and the ability to customize the meal depending on whether we wanted something lighter or more filling made it easy to adjust the order to our preferences. The staff moved through orders with efficiency, and the food came out hot and well assembled. Overall, DunHuang Lanzhou Beef Noodle is a solid spot for anyone craving authentic Chinese beef noodle soup. The combination of flavorful broth, freshly made noodles, and well-prepared meat dishes makes it worth visiting. It is a simple concept done well, and a place we would return to when looking for a comforting bowl of handmade noodles.

Maybe that was meant to be because now I struggle to want to try any other of the countless good restaurants out here. A huge bowl of Lamb Noodle Soup is only $10. No tipping required. Order at the counter, pick it up when prompted and sit anywhere you like. After you're done, there's a spot to place your trash, trays and bowl. They even have an English menu. +$1 If you get it Mala which I recommend if you can handle some spice because it adds so much flavor. There's condiments on the table so you can adjust the soup to your liking. The soup itself is light but complex, with a rich lamb broth that doesn't have any gaminess. A lot of Chinese folks like it the way it is but for American tastes, I think it would come off as slightly bland. I like to have a few sips adding only salt and white pepper to appreciate the original taste. Then I doctor it up with black vinegar, even more white pepper and their chili which is actually spicy. It becomes addictively delicious. The wide hand pulled noodles which they stretch and cook to order has the perfect bite and chew. It also comes with glass noodles, wood ear mushrooms, shredded seaweed, bok choy and cilantro. I could seriously eat this everyday!
