The Armory - Her new Bul Armory "Cherokee" 9mm pistol.

Best gun range I've shot at in a long time. Small selection of rental arms (mostly 9mm handguns…read moreand ARs) but all the guns are super well maintained and cleaned, which is rare for rental ranges. Best thing is the service. I took two friends, one of whom had never shot before, and the staff were uber patient walking them through safety, helping with their aim, etc. A great place and a great value!

My wife and I picked up her new Bul Armory (Israeli-made) "Cherokee" 9mm subcompact pistol at The…read moreArmory on Saturday night and - as always - got great service from the staff there...and specifically Dalton who efficiently processed our FFL transfer fee from www.gunprime.com to us. The Armory is...and will be...our go-to location for weapon suggestions, as well as parts & accessories, but more importantly for great customer service and solid guidance and professional suggestions on best-fit components for our particular self-defense needs. Dalton helped explain to my wife all the features of the new pistol, especially the unique DA/SA trigger-pull arrangement associated with the Cherokee, and how trigger pull works with the loaded weapon. That, and how she should get a proper two-handed grip on the pistol using first her right hand to secure a solid purchase on the upper part of the grip followed by the proper wrap of the left hand around the grip/right hand to provide a solid and stable grip to the pistol. That, and after asking Dalton about training courses, he recommended one of his The Armory colleagues for training classes for my wife (and likely me as well...). He provided a card for Sit Aware Tactical training (S. Scolari) and that contacting him would be in our best interests in setting up a course for both of us. 30-minutes later - and after paying the FFL Transfer Fee - my wife was the proud owner of her first weapon. She looks forward to the arrival of her 9mm bulk range ammo, upcoming training courses with Sit Aware, and heading to the desert for some target practice (nest Spring anyway...) Five Stars for calm, professional, no-B.S. support and guidance...and my wife's new semi-auto! Thanks, Dalton and The Armory!

I love Scheels. I like how they are organized that somehow makes shopping comfortable. The layout…read moreof the store is great, from clothing to camping to the cafe to hunting to toys. There is a great selection and variety. I mostly go for the toys. There is a specific toy that I seek and this is the place to find them. While their toy department is not huge and is just a relatively smaller department within the store, what they do have is quality stuff, things that people actually seek out. Lego sets, RCs, educational children's toys, games, etc. I was pleasantly surprised to see a decent selection of disc golf discs. They even had some of one of my favorite brands, Kastaplast! Either Kastaplast is finally getting some mainstream recognition or Scheels has a good sporting goods manager. Speaking of which, Ashton is a great guy and truly thinks of the customer first and the customer's experience. There were even Zuca disc golf carts there. And they were all on sale. Another aspect to love about Scheels are the things you can do there like mini bowling, shooting arcade, and the Ferris wheel. You can have a date there for cheap! And then go to the cafe for a meal or treats. BTW, the jerky they sell there is excellent! All the employees there are very helpful. In some small ways, Scheels is better than Bass Pro, Cabela's, Sportsman's Warehouse. In this competitive market, small ways is what stands you apart. I really like those other stores, too, but Scheels just feels different. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

Sorry to do this but things are very different at Scheels than in the past…read more I spent 30 minutes in the Kuhl department and no one even offered help or bothered to say hello. (I had several questions) 10 minutes in golf department. Same story. 20 minutes in BBQ and the two guys there seemed more worried about the display looking great than offering help. I've always loved Scheels but I am very disappointed with the current lake of service or lack of. I hope things improve! (I only spent $250)
