We have driven by this store for years and never went in. Definitely take a moment to go in before they close! They have signs up that say they are closing (but there is also a "we're hiring" sign so not sure what the story is; no one on the staff talked to us while we were there). Why do go in? The selection is incredible. I always thought "Lamps PLUS" meant just plus-the-awesomeness, lamps only. No, the "plus" means they have other things - mirrors, tables, wall sculptures. We weren't exactly sure what was on sale - if it was everything and/or just the some things that had special clearance signs. The gigantic and amazing chandeliers, way out of our budget and way too big for our residence but SO gorgeous. The best deals in the store, imo, were the bathroom lights. Also, they have a very large selection of outdoor lights (like if you have a light in front of your door or flanking your garage). read more

We visited the Tukwila Lamps Plus location recently. We were underwhelmed until we were approached by.Amaud Thomas. He was pleasant, knowledgeable, confident, and helpful. Things you don't typically find in today's world of customer service. Whether or not the products will work out for us when they arrive remains up in the air. We purchased a lamp at your Tukwila store, the salesperson was Vicki O. She was so capable and kind, offered to ship the lamp to our home with free shipping. We had not seen the lamp but it looked perfect online. However, upon delivery yesterday, two things occurred...the shade was extremely damaged, and we realized the lamp was a little too large for where it was going to be placed. Today we returned to the store with the lamp and the return process was so easy and gracious. Vicki ordered another lamp for us that was not in the store, one I had seen online that I think will be perfect. But I know if there is a problem, she will remedy it for me. We originally purchased a bunch of light fixtures from this store, and found two (Possini Euro Lighting on the Square bath light) to be of poor quality. We returned them to the Tukwila store, and purchased two new fixtures (one Quorum International Modus 4 light fixture and one Quorum International Modus 3 light fixture) to replace the ones we returned. The staff were very helpful with both transactions. We thought that there would be a delay in receiving the ordered fixtures, but were pleasantly surprised to receive both fixtures. They are very beautiful, and are just what we'd hoped for. The staff and service at the Tukwila store have been very good. We just wish that Lamps Plus would do a better job of reviewing the quality of the fixtures they sell. read more

Our most recent experience in Tukwila just underscored my level of trust and confidence in Lamps Plus's service and expertise. With their help we ordered a lamp over the phone, had it delivered to the store for us to check it out, brought it home to see how it worked in the room and because it wasn't just right in the space, ended up returning it. Not only is this Store the King of the "Lamp Castle" with it's vast array of merchandise, the Staff are incredible! We came all the way from Moses Lake to get lighting for my Mother's Bedroom and Wow! The sales associates Aspen and John were super helpful, knowledgeable, and efficient on the Showroom. They made are visit comfortable as we did are thing. They all made themselves available when needed and played "hand in hand" well with one another. In the midst of a remodel, supply chain issues, we were desperate for the perfect lighting for our bedroom, closet, and bathroom. We had very specific wants, and wouldn't you know, we satisfied all of those lighting wants at Lamps Plus. We found the perfect vanity lights - and they were in stock. We found the most gorgeous bedroom ceiling light - also in stock! We ordered a ceiling light for our closet, and got it within days. Unfortunately, it was too big. We fixed up the box our contractor kinda busted, re-packed the light and put it in the car. When we pulled up, Shawna, the store manager, met us at the car and carried the light in. The sales team, particularly John, immediately helped us find a replacement that fit and we fell in love with. I will Never buy lighting anywhere else, these guys are AWESOME!! read more

Very knowledgeable about their products, able to recommend lower cost variations of what you're looking for, can help you sort through all the new bulb types so you get the lighting you need for every room. With all the varieties of light bulbs available, choosing the right type of lighting for my lamp application, required some personal service that you cannot get at a big box home center...thankfully my local Lamps Plus store had someone that worked with me on a solution to finding an appropriate light bulb. Tons and tons to choose from but sadly, nothing that really suited what I was looking for. But don't take my word for it - people have different taste! I spotted sconces, floor lamps, table lamps, chandeliers, indoor lights, outdoor lights - even furniture and pillows and accessories. I'm looking for mid century modern style table lamps and here there was nothing to be found. But I saw great deals, sale items, and was greeted warmly by a sales associate. Can't say enough good things about the customer service here. I was building out a restaurant and we were up against a deadline. Aspen (I think that was her name?) and her manager were nice enough to stay open a few minutes after closing to sell us some cheap parts that we needed to get the job done. Lamps Plus used to be dotted all around this area, but with the economic downturn many locations closed shop for good. This is one of the few that remain in this area, and they have done a good job at making it a must stop location for lighting needs. Located in a strip mall the parking lot can be a little chaotic as people zip in and out. I would recommend people go to the light closest to the store and turn in there and go the back way. It is seldom used and makes for an easier path to the store. The store itself is full of lights. They have chandeliers, floor lamps, table lamps, tape lights, puck lights, rope lights, gaudy lights that seem like from another decade, sleek modern lights that look from the future. They have a large selection of bulbs including a great selection of LED bulbs. The staff here are very friendly and extremely helpful. The first time I went here it was fifteen minutes before closing, yet I was caught up talking with an employee about a particular type of light. Before I knew it as I was checking out forty five minutes had passed! Yet, no one complained. No one gave me the stink eye. They were as cheery with me as I left as they were when I entered. The next time I bought a bulb and it didn't work. I went back that day and they exchanged it immediately, without even looking at my receipt. They were extremely apologetic, even though they really had nothing to apologize for! They truly are sweet. And did you know that they have more then just lamps? They have decorative fountains and a good selection of bar stools as well as end tables! I would highly recommend stopping by. read more

My most recent trip to lamps plus was good. I came in the store and the first person to greet me was Matthew. After asking if he could help me, I informed him that I was just browsing. A few minutes later I found him and began to ask him him about lamps to put on my end table. After our chat I learned the different types of bulbs I could use and how important lamp shades are in determining the percentage of light a room received so that I could make an informed decision. Gina, the lighting designer, came to my home and offered suggestions on items I had not seen in the store! Her customer service is above and beyond. Loved them years ago. A few weeks ago, ordered a couple lamps. Never got an email, had to call them to find out what was going on after a couple weeks of nothing. They explained that nothing really processes until the item ships. We checked on the order, was told everything was good and should be shipping the next day. I should get an email about it then. Well I definitely got an email, but it was the company telling me something went wrong and they would be shipping it at the end of the month. I responded telling them his was unacceptable. No communication, then something went wrong. They didn't even tell me what went wrong. I told them they needed to rectify the situation, or I'd be cancelling. I got a response days later and was told it was out of their control and all they could do was lessen the shipping time from 5 to three days once it shipped. The company wouldn't even admit they screwed up! I immediately called after this and cancelled my order. You don't get charge 200$ per lamp and then treat the customer this way. The company is going downhill I warn everyone. They run out of stock and won't even tell you, then blame it on their vendors. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else. read more

Service is like a million stars. That nice man who helped us offered to bring the lamp home, plug it in, make me some tea and fluff my pillow. Okay, that didn't happen but he was soooo nice and helpful. The prices are all over the place, however. The sale prices are awesome, the regular prices not so awesome. We've been searching for a chandelier in all the hardware stores and finally came here to compare, prices were much higher on some items, and a bit less on a few, but the selection was much better (natch, it's a specialty store, duh!) My husband also picked up a killer deal on a fancy rug for me here and I got an amazing crystal-looking deco lamp for basically free (it was 90% off) awe-some when you find something but pricey if you're not being careful. read more

A joke from day one. I bought a Casa Vieja ceiling fan for $200 and was told I that I had to buy the blades for it extra but it had a remote control. Got home installed and found it did not have a remote so they told me to un install it and bring it back. I did and they gave me the remote for $20 extra. It started to smoke so I was told to return it and get a new one. I did and installed that that but the new one ran at over 110 degress while on and called customer service who sadi that was not right but they said if I paid more get me a better one and they would install it. Store manager called and said it was suppose to run that hot. Now nothing from them Wow, now I call that customer service read more

After looking in pretty much every other lighting store in the greater Seattle area, we made our way to Lamps Plus one recent afternoon. We were planning to install two overhead lights in our living room and had made a decision about what we wanted and how we wanted them configured. But, had, so far, failed to find quite the right thing. And, I was starting to get nervous as we had an electrician coming over to do the install just a couple of days later. So, the clock was ticking down. At Lamps Plus, we found the exactly the right lights to turn our idea into a reality. We also found extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful staff, who truly made us feel they were appreciative of our business. We happened to hit a "just about everything on sale" sale, which made their already reasonable prices all the better. Looking around the store, I saw a number of truly fabulous lights and lamps that are not quite what we are looking for right now. But, you never know what the future will bring. And, we know we'll be needing some additional (outside) lights in the not-too-distant future. Next time, we'll definitely make Lamps Plus our first stop (and quite possibly our last as well). read more
