From the start, the buying experience was smooth, professional, and exactly what you expect when you're dealing with a brand like Porsche. No games, no pressure, just straightforward communication and execution. What really stands out is that it doesn't stop after the purchase. Their service side is just as strong. Everything is organized, efficient, and handled with care. You can tell they know these cars and take pride in what they're doing. For me, it's simple. If I'm in Southern California, this is where I'm buying and servicing. If I'm up in Northern California, I go to Niello Porsche. That's the level this place is on. That consistency between sales and service is rare, and it's what keeps you coming back. Appreciate everything you guys did.

Absolutely the worst sales experience I've ever had, especially when spending more than $150,000 on…read morea new vehicle. I purchased a new 2026 Porsche from Flora Lopez, whose manager was Alex Reath. The vehicle was delivered to my home with an airbag warning light already illuminated. Flora told me not to worry and described it as a simple sensor issue. The dealership now insists that they disclosed the warning-light issue to me before delivery. What they leave out is that I was only told about it on the SAME DAY the vehicle was being delivered, when I was already committed to the transaction. I also have records of the communications describing it as a simple issue. Had I been told that my brand-new Porsche could potentially spend three weeks or more in a service center immediately after delivery, I certainly would have handled the situation differently. Instead of taking the vehicle back and correcting the problem themselves before completing delivery, I was left to arrange the repair through my local Porsche dealership. A replacement part had to be ordered from Germany. After waiting for the part, my local dealership determined that it did not fix the problem and that the issue was more significant than I had originally been told. What was presented as a simple sensor issue has now resulted in my brand-new Porsche being in the shop for more than four (4) weeks, with the final repair timeline still uncertain. During a phone conversation with Flora and her manager, I specifically questioned how a brand-new Porsche could require weeks of service immediately after delivery. Alex told me that this was "not uncommon." I actually asked him again to make sure I understood what he was saying: Is it really not uncommon for a brand-new Porsche to be delivered and then have to go into a service center for repairs? His answer was yes. That response was astonishing to me. Meanwhile, I'm making loan payments and paying insurance on a $150,000+ vehicle that I cannot drive, while the loaner provided to me is nowhere near comparable to the vehicle I purchased. The dealership initially offered me $1,000 for the inconvenience. On September 16, after learning from Porsche Downtown Los Angeles that the vehicle would require substantially more time to repair, I texted Flora and explained that I no longer believed $1,000 was reasonable compensation given the length of time I had been without my new vehicle. Her response was extremely cold, and she declined to discuss it further. Since then, I have texted again and called, but I have not received a return call. Unfortunately, this is consistent with my experience throughout this transaction. On multiple occasions I was told someone would call me back or check in with me, only for that call never to happen. Note, I never called them often. My experience with the financing process was equally concerning. Finance manager Adam Avalo added an additional $5,000 to the amount being financed without my authorization. When I questioned it, I was told the $5,000 would simply be returned to me separately. That would have left the additional $5,000 included in my loan, potentially resulting in my paying interest on money I never agreed to finance. I found this completely unacceptable. I have since shared what happened with people at other dealerships, and the reaction has consistently been surprise that this was my experience purchasing a new Porsche. That is particularly disappointing because I expected Porsche's reputation and brand to represent a much higher standard of professionalism, transparency, quality control, and customer care. This experience has felt nothing like the "white glove" treatment one would expect when purchasing a Porsche--particularly a vehicle costing more than $150,000. From delivering a new vehicle with an active airbag warning, to minimizing the problem, to the financing issue, to the lack of follow-up once the situation became more serious, virtually every stage of this transaction has been disappointing. There are many Porsche dealerships in Southern CA. Do not consider this. I have escalated the matter to Porsche and hope they will provide an appropriate resolution. I will update this review based on how the situation is ultimately handled.

I dropped it off on Tuesday and didn't get much communication. Called to get a status and I had to talk to a machine because this dealership won't even spring for a receptionist. I'm giving four stars because after the conversation, the communication dramatically improved and I picked my vehicle up the next day. I'm not sure I can pin the delays on the service writer because I know vehicles can get stuck in never never land in the shop. Jesse finished the race properly and I commend him for that. He doesn't have an easy job. I definitely recommend getting rid of the AI receptionist. I definitely recommend having a small loaner fleet for the customers that drive your 60+ thousand dollar vehicles. It's not like GMC is not compensating the dealership for loaners. Nobody wants to drive to a rental car company in an Uber and fill out a bunch of paperwork for an overnight loaner. It might be convenient for the dealership, but it's not convenient for the customer. I definitely recommend getting some type of auto update texting app that other dealerships have, that makes you aware of the repair process at each stage. I do not recommend making customers bringing brand new vehicles in for warranty work sign an estimated cost of repairs. It made me uncomfortable, and I can't be the only one. I recommend that you don't offer people discounts on the GMC app when they schedule their appointments, and then make them fill out a bunch of paperwork to receive these discounts via a prepaid debit card... you don't do that when you're selling new trucks with rebates. your team is only as good as their leader. People hate gimmicks, and people hate being nickel and dimed. I think a few of these problems are coming from the top not from your service writers. I have a supreme respect for people that shoot me straight with no nonsense. I would encourage your dealership to reevaluate the way you process the service department experience. How do you want to be treated when you drop your vehicles off for repair?

GPT-4o mini: To get the catalyst monitor ready on a **2009 Nissan Altima**, you typically need to follow a specific drive cycle that allows the vehicle's onboard diagnostic system to complete its self-checks. Here's a detailed breakdown of the steps involved: ## Steps to Get the Catalyst Monitor Ready 1. **Ensure Proper Conditions**: - Make sure the fuel tank is between **1/4 and 3/4 full**. - The engine should be at normal operating temperature. 2. **Initial Start-Up**: - Start the engine and let it idle for about **2-3 minutes**. 3. **Driving Conditions**: - Drive the vehicle at a steady speed of **25-45 mph** for about **5-10 minutes**. - Avoid sudden acceleration or deceleration during this phase. 4. **Acceleration and Deceleration**: - Accelerate to **55 mph** and maintain that speed for about **5 minutes**. - Then, decelerate without using the brakes to come to a stop. 5. **Stop and Idle**: - After stopping, let the vehicle idle for another **2-3 minutes**. 6. **Repeat the Cycle**: - You may need to repeat the above steps a couple of times to ensure the monitor sets to ready. ## Additional Tips - **Check for Codes**: Before starting the drive cycle, ensure there are no trouble codes stored in the vehicle's computer. If there are, they should be addressed first. - **Battery Condition**: Ensure the battery is in good condition, as a weak battery can affect the readiness monitors. - **Use of OBD-II Scanner**: An OBD-II scanner can help you monitor the status of the readiness monitors and confirm when the catalyst monitor is set to ready.

Months and months of struggle dealing with dealers, Audi dealers in particular and sheer exasperation finally drove me into the "arms" of Kim's Automotive. I DID have a good experience with a previous mechanic but he and I grew tired and since the dealership was involved in this "triangle" of sorts I decided it was time to cut the cord. Right before New Years 2021 I deposited my Audi 2014. This started out 2022 with absolutely no car at all for me. Needless to say I was quite depressed about the the whole car situation. I knew that the dealer(s) that had been involved with assessing, analyzing the problems and promoting solutions to the problems were taking me down a "yellow brick road" of dreams and I wasn't going to get a straight answer nor a solid fix no matter what I tried... There was an issue with a gas pump, gas module and whatever else... it was a small issue until the dealer(s) involved turned it into an even bigger issue and actually caused more problems to erupt on the car. I was horrified! The last several months I spent just being tormented by the situation involving my Audi. After several weeks and then it turned into months, I finally found this mechanic, Kim's Automotive. It was a miracle that I found this place really! Effran and his wife were extremely professional and warm towards me when I brought the car in. I was nervous about everything especially after dealing with one shyster move after another. In fact, even my friends who are so called car experts couldn't believe what I had been through with this car.. they were appalled. Effran was extremely patient, listened, did his own homework on the car and was able to unearth, very hard to find, rare parts, parts that are not made anymore for the car. I was amazed! I'm SO happy and RELIEVED to have found an ethical, reliable, honest, hardworking mechanic who decided to fix the car instead of trying to sell me a "bill of goods". This shop has my business for life now.
