I read the reviews about this place, and decided to try for myself, and I wish I hadn't. I took a jacket for cleaning, and it had a simple oil spot. I told the lady when I got there about the spot, and she sorta nodded her head. I think the reviews are right, I don't think their english is good. But if that's the case, that's totally fine, but make sure instructions are clear before you accept a job from a customer! The jacket came back with the same oil spot. So I put a simple spot treater and washed it myself, and it came right out. When I went back to the store, they said the manager didn't work there and to call another number. There is another cleaner right next door, and they are amazing! This place used to be great but now it's awful. The workers are rude and can't understand you. They left detergent stains in my white shirts and washed my dry cleaning instead of sending it out and has now shrunk. read more

I would love to give this place 5 stars for the convenience of almost two years, but the ladies that work there are extremely rude. Yesterday, I asked for my clothes to be dropped off as I was not able to pick them up due to work (needless to explain). When the lady arrived, she didn't wait even a minute for me to open the door and left my clothes right at the door. I opened the door and saw her coming down the stairs and told her I had more clothes to give her, called her several times in Spanish and she ignored me. I know she could hear me. This is not the first time I encountered rudeness. Several times they have came and I greeted them or thanked them in Spanish and they plainly ignored it. I used to tip them when they dropped off my clothes because I can understand this is a free service but this is their job too, but they were so rude I had to stop. Other times in the laundry mat, they also were extremely rude when communicating the rules, and talked rudely about customers amongst themselves. I can understand the lack of manners but it has gotten plainly unprofessional as a business. read more

I have been using this Laundry and dry cleaning service for many years. Whenever I need something picked up or delivered they are here within minutes. They rush jobs when I ask them. Veronica is truly the best! She works so hard and is always in a good mood, friendly, and accommodating. Samantha, who works the front desk, is very friendly and efficient. Sometimes I forget to call for my pick-up and they'll actually call me to remind me. My clothes are always folded neatly and organized by type of clothing. I do give them a softener that I prefer and they are conscientious about using it every time. I feel very lucky to have Lam Eastside. For a few dollars more than I would pay if I did it myself, I get my dirty clothes picked up, washed, dried, folded and delivered. The dry cleaning is also good and convenient in that you can do both at the same time- again picked up and delivered to your door. I definitely give Lam Eastside five stars for being a reliable, competent, laundry service to me for years! read more

I didn't know how good I had it until I moved and needed to find a new wash and fold. The women who work here are so kind and attentive, and the same day service is so convenient. They consistently followed my instructions to hang dry my gym clothes when I brought them in a separate bag, and their dry cleaning was reliable. Miss them! read more

Just moved to the neighborhood and dropped some laundry off to be washed. When I picked it up, the clothes smelled stale as if they hadn't used detergent. Didn't think much of it but I should've read previous reviews. Dropped off another load of laundry and this time the smell of the clothes was disgusting. Can't even pinpoint the origin of the smell, metallic, almost fishy, so incredibly horrific. I have now had to wash the same clothes literally 3 times to get the smell out. Clean your machines!!! I've often dreaded taking my clothes in for dry cleaning - either my clothes stink like chemicals (or in one instance, reeked of cigarettes...and I don't smoke) or they don't press them correctly, or they come back with something wrong - I've had items come back with hems down (and they didn't go in that way) or with discoloration, etc. So imagine my stress level when I moved to NYC for a job that pretty much required suits. And, by extension, a lot more dry cleaning than I'd needed previously. I'd heard word of mouth around the new neighborhood that these guys were pretty decent, so I braced myself and gave them a try. So far - and I just dropped off my 3rd load with them - everything has come back smelling clean/neutral and perfectly pressed. Everyone I've dealt with has been friendly and knowledgeable. Given the lackluster and pricey laundromat down the street, I'm even thinking about trying East Side as a laundry service soon - it can't possibly be much more expensive than what I'm already paying to battle someone for a functioning dryer. So, so far? 4 stars. I'll upgrade this to 5 stars after a few more trips, if the level of service, etc. remains the same. Update: Picked up my 3rd batch. Everything except one skirt was perfect. I'd tried to be clear about the skirt, but I think there was still some misunderstanding - possibly simply just a language thing. The skirt has long, thin pleats, and I'd explained that the last place ironed them OUT (to my dismay, and my eventual - after a battle - refund), but that I needed them ironed back in. The skirt came back beautifully pressed...but without the pleats. To their credit, they were very nice when I brought the skirt back and explained the problem. And they're pressing the pleats back in at no additional charge. So, while I wish the pleats had been ironed in in the first place, I'm happy with their response to the misunderstanding. read more

I have never been to this laundromat and I actually went to it in emergency! I always do my own laundry but one day my laundry machine and dryer did not work. It very clean nice do you know she's a bit next but they do a great job beautiful smell of the laundry folding and they're open till a reasonable hour and deliver if you live in the neighborhood. I would highly recommend them and I don't know if they do dry cleaning but they do a great job and they also allow you to do your own laundry it's almost cheaper to do with them so check it out read more

Go next door. You'll save cash. First, they didn't have my button down shirts ready in time. Secondly, I always put in my sheets and blanket for laundry, nothing special. I pay to separate the colors and I pay per pound. I guess you'll pay extra for blankets and stuff, and I mean extra! What's the point? I'm still paying per pound. I live nearby and rely on East Side to do my laundry--they're efficient and generally do a good job. Perfect for towels, bedding, or other easy stuff. Do not bring fragile or dainty stuff here, or anything requiring any sort of special instruction. Towels, jeans, sheets, plain t-shirts, anything cotton and easy, yes. Anything complicated? No. A 7 pound bag of laundry is around 8 dollars. read more

This place was around the block so I gave it a shot. I took my dress shirts there and asked about two-day service (thought that was standard). They said to get it back in two days they could launder it. When I got it back, the shirts were folded (poorly) and totally wrinkled. I literally spent an hour "fixing" their mistakes with my hand steamer at home. They clearly don't have pride in their work. I must have sent a dirty shirt with a sleeve rolled up because when I got it back "clean" it was still rolled up. They just threw my dress shirt into a laundry machine without even unrolling the sleeves. I suppose they succeeded in literally "laundering" my dress shirts. I was hoping for a bit more service than that. If all that weren't bad enough, their advertised hours are wrong. I took a cab from work to make sure I got to my shirts before they closed at 7:30pm. When I called from the cab, they said they close at 7pm. Their window sign still says 7:30pm. With all the dry cleaners in the city, I wouldn't even bother to give them another shot. read more

Bring your wash and fold here at your own risk! My regular cleaners sends out here for wash and fold, and a few weeks ago they sent back someone else's laundry with my ticket on it (also with two of my towels randomly stuck inside). I sent it back and they never found my actual laundry! Literally $1400 worth of clothes gone forever and their response was essentially eh your regular cleaners owes you not us. read more

I always use this place for wash and fold, the Chinese lady is very nice. She even does it same day when I need it, I have never had to wait. SOOOOOO much better then going to the laundry matt and sitting there like a fool while your clothes spin endlessly in a froth of soap and crunched up pita chips that you ate the night before. I go there for wash and fold only. They always do a really nice job and the turnaround is very quick - within 24 hours if you need. The one downside is that they don't take credit cards. read more
